I understand that I may be a practice customer but, I think they're lash quality was not great. I asked for natural & C curl, it didn't look like I had anything done. The lady who helped me initially wanted to charge me for the full price $120 but I showed her my text with Yuki. As usual, you don't want to get any water on the extensions for 24 hr, but upon going home some of them fell off already. I will say the place is clean, nice & comfortable, easy to find in the Market Place. They also offer facials and other treatments too. I decided to go on Groupon to look for a massage since I've been dealing with really bad shoulder and neck pain. I came across a deal with Beauty X Lash Brow that included a 90-minute Swedish or Deep Tissue Massage with Hot Stones, Body Scrub, and Aromatherapy for $75.74 which seemed like a great deal. Before purchasing, I checked both Google and Yelp reviews they were decent so I decided to give it a try. I was excited and hopeful that I'd finally get some relief. I booked my appointment for 5:00 p.m. and arrived a few minutes early. The spa was clean, smelled nice, and had a calm atmosphere. The man at the front desk was friendly. I specifically told him that I wanted a deep tissue massage along with the body scrub, and he reassured me that's exactly what I would get. However, once the massage started, it wasn't what I was expecting. While the massage itself was nice and relaxing, it definitely did not feel like a deep tissue massage. I repeatedly directed the massage therapist to focus on my neck and shoulders especially since that's where I have the most pain but although she worked on my shoulders, she barely touched my neck. The pressure was also too light, even after I asked for more. Partway through, I noticed she was using hot stones on my back, but I wasn't sure if that was supposed to be included, since I had specifically requested a body scrub as part of my service. I waited until she finished the massage to ask about the scrub, and when I brought it up, she didn't understand me. She had to use Google Translate, and even then, communication was difficult. She eventually said she would talk to the man at the front desk about it. After I got dressed and walked out, I noticed she was standing in the hallway, asking for a tip. I always tip for services, but the way it was done felt uncomfortable and a bit pushy it almost felt like she was desperate for one, which made things awkward. I still tipped $20. When I mentioned the missing body scrub to the man at the front desk, he apologized and said something along the lines of "Oh, I forgot." At that point, I was disappointed because I didn't get the full service I paid for, nor the deep tissue pressure I requested. Overall, the environment was clean and the staff were polite, but the experience didn't match what was advertised or what I paid for. If you're looking for a light, relaxing massage, this place might work for you. But if you're expecting a true deep tissue massage or all the services listed in the Groupon, I'd recommend going somewhere else. Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be returning. read more

We came here for a couple's massage and had a terrible experience from start to finish. My therapist did an okay job, but she kept me basically fully uncovered the entire time instead of draping properly and only revealing the areas being worked on. It was uncomfortable and not professional at all. My boyfriend's experience was even worse. He had a male therapist who clearly wasn't trained -- there was no real pressure, just random rubbing and even borderline caressing his legs in a way that made him really uncomfortable. He had to ask him to stop. On top of that, the therapist kept leaving the room 3-4 times, so what was supposed to be a full hour ended up being maybe 20 minutes of actual massage. Overall, this place was unprofessional, uncomfortable, and not worth the time or money. Do NOT go here. read more

I thought long and hard before writing this review, but I just have to. Just because I'm out of $700 (and then some), I want to make sure no one else saves their hard-earned money just to get gas-lit instead of apologized to. This review is strictly for MicroBlading/PMU. When I first reached out to Yuki, I showed her a photo of what I wanted my brows to look like. I was upfront about old work that was over 20 years old and has had 2 saline treatments, and she said she was able to take me. During my appointment, Yuki drew hair strokes on my brows, and because I requested an ombre powdered look, I knew this was more achievable than just MicroBlading. After she drew the brows on my face and we agreed on the shape, she got to work. When she was done and handed me the mirror I was in utter shock. The shape did not resemble what she previously drew, and I had to point out to her--the professional--how uneven they were. I did not notice it then, but looking back at the photos I took, she did not mark the brows correctly, her pin points were below what she drew, resulting in one brow being noticeably larger than the other (will include photo). To make matters worse, it was not ombre, it's a solid color throughout with the fronts of the brows looking like a block (photos to follow). I sat in my car and could not bring myself to drive home to my family, and my husband and friends kept telling me to just wait it out. Well...I did, and they look just as terrible now as they did when they were freshly done. When I came to her about my concerns, I was polite, did not ask for my money back, but informed her I would not be coming for the touch up. Not once did she admit fault, instead she kept trying to downplay my brows. First of all--it's on my face, I've been pleasant, but accountability would've been greatly appreciated in this situation. I never received an apology, but she did offer to "fix them." No addresses as to what she did, and what she failed to do, completely dismissing me pointing out what went wrong. She just told me to go for a swim, work out, and do other things to "lighten them up." She kept insisting the color will change, when my issue is not AT ALL about the color. After consulting with my husband I decided they were beyond fixing, and any effort would result in them looking even worse than they already are. We sat down for a consultation before she started on my brows. If she had any ethics she would have told me the job was too big for her, and I would've gladly paid her for her time and honesty. Looks like I'm SOL and am going to have to spend more money on a removal service and new artist. For $700, I expected a level of quality that would match the price I paid. She claims to have students learning from her--but as a trainer in such a delicate field as this--why would you not acknowledge what you did? Gaslighting at its finest. read more

I bought a groupon for a couples massage for my boyfriend's birthday. The place was nice and clean but when our massage began the workers started talking. I don't mind some conversation, I know they must communicate for some reason. However, they continued talking and giggling, then one of them took a phone call. They were also speaking in a different language so we didn't know what they were talking about. This continued the entire massage. It was not a relaxing experience and it was a waste of money. The whole process was relaxing, she removed my old extensions w/ ease and I didn't realize that she did it so fast. I believe the whole session took about an hour and a half and it was so peaceful, I slept through out the whole thing. She understood the assignment perfectly because I haven't gotten really nice wispy lashes like this from any other salons. It's perfect lengths and spreaded out evenly. I saw BeautyX on instagram and made an appointment a little bit last minute and yet they were able to accommodate me so quickly! This is probably the fastest I've ever gotten my lashes done, as it only took an hour. Yuki did my lashes and she was so gentle, quick, and efficient. I didn't know what I was expecting since it was my first time, but in all honesty I think it was one of the best lash sets I've ever had. I usually go to Canny Beauty lashes in Arcadia which also specializes in anime wispy sets, but I told Yuki I thought this set of lashes were even better than Canny. Yuki did an anime wispy volume set on me, and it turned out amazing. The place is clean, new, and modern. They have private rooms for each lash appointment which was nice and comfortable, I even dosed off a bit. Highly recommend BeautyX! My favorite spot when it comes to lashes!! I don't know what magic glue they use here but I've been to 5 or 6 lash artists and this place has the best retention. Usually for other lash artists, I'll start noticing some random lashes fall out when I wake up on my pillow, etc after a few days or weeks. I have not seen fall out work these lashes and I'm at two weeks and they still look super full. They are a bit on the pricier side but well worth it. Highly recommend. My first time getting my brows laminated but I have now found out through research that they were over processed and that this could cause my eyebrow hairs to fall out! Now it's been 2 days since i got them and more than half of my left eye lashes are gone:( My right eye lashes are holding on but some fell out as well. Mika told me not to get in contact with water for 24 hours so I was careful with it but it didn't help. But I guess i got what i paid for because it was super affordable. Was so happy when I found one only 3 minutes from the house located at the Tustin market place (right next to Panda Express ) ! The facility is very bright and clean. Terrible experience. I asked for hybrid anime, natural. I also had lashes that needed removal. Mika used TWEEZERS to remove my old lashes. I asked twice for glue remover as it felt dangerous and she kept on tweezing. She finished my lashes & removal inside of 50 minutes. They look like a cheap strip from target. This company has to be paying for reviews. I called them based off their reviews and specifically asked if they did the lashes per the photo on their website and asked if it was a stock photo and they assured me it wasn't. The girl they put me with did not speak English very well so I showed her the photo and she said ok. Let me tell you that my eyes never burned so bad and I've been getting extensions for many years so you know their glue quality is not good. After 2 hours and $230 later I was done opened my watery/burning eyes and my lashes did not look anything like the picture. Who pays that much for a natural set!! I was very annoyed, but in a hurry so I told her this wasn't what I asked for or what the picture looked like. She couldn't understand me so I paid and just left.
