I went to Sumi Lashes and chose the wispy volume style because I wanted soft, fluttery, "I woke up like this" vibes... and now I accidentally look like I have my life together. The technician was so gentle I almost fell asleep, which is saying a lot because I don't even trust people near my eyeballs like that. The salon was clean, quiet, and relaxing--basically the opposite of my daily chaos. My lashes came out super lightweight but still full, like natural... if my natural self were just better. They've been holding up really well too, surviving naps, showers, and me aggressively rubbing my eyes at 2am (don't recommend, but still). Only downside? Now I have to book ahead because apparently everyone else also wants to look effortlessly put together. read more

-Eyelash style is not natural like I asked. She recommended this "fringe" style when I asked for natural and it looks crazy with spikes..like an anime style. -The technician was very rough while doing the lashes and pulled out many of my own lashes. Like tears streaming out of my eyes throughout most of the session. I have gotten lashes done for years and this has never happened to me. I don't know what she was doing since this was just a new set of lashes and I came in with bare lashes. -She got glue in my eyes and now my eyes are red and painful. I have been getting regular refills of the signature sunflower design and it lasts between 3-4 weeks. Crystal Han is a great lash tech! The booking system is really easy through Vagaro. I was previously going to a different last tech in LA. However, the glue/material they were using was too low quality. The extensions only lasted 1-2 weeks and didn't look as good. Now that I come here for my extensions, I don't need to refill as often because they actually last a long time. Thank you Crystal! read more

I didn't get the name of the esthetician who did my lashes, but she definitely got skills and was very patient while doing my eyes. I wanted something more natural looking and not too long, and end up with the sunflower design. The esthetician helped me choose the length, and I think it was perfect length for what I was looking for. The place is quite chic and relaxing. My normal lash tech at a different lash place was booked out a month and I really needed a new set. Gave Sumi lashes a try with the 50 dollars off new customer discount. I had the sunflower design with vivi. She was very nice and patient. I removed the other lashes with 15 dollars removal fee since they weren't done at Sumi. They have seperate private areas like rooms which I liked. I will say I did think the sunflower although I was told was a natural style would look slightly more impactful but they came out nice. I would give them another try with a different design. It's located in diamond jamboree above 85 degree bakery. That parking lot is a zoo so that's the only slight downside. All in all I would recommend Sumi lashes and ViVi. Although I'm not sure if I'm ready to leave my other lash place yet. read more

I showed my lash tech a picture of what I wanted I got the complete opposite. I chose the style I wanted by texting them a picture and asking what style it was, they said "layered style" so that's what I booked. I then asked her against my appointment and got a different answer "anime style" and I asked her to not make it so dark and to space it apart like the phot. Which was uploaded by the owner on yelp. So I'm confused why I didn't get the result I wanted since they've done it before. The lashes looked wonky and hideous not to mention poked my eyes everyone I blinked. The lady also kept complaining about my "oily skin" to excuse that the lashes don't stay long.
