Came in here for a quick clean up on my brows. No line and I got in right away. Process was a bit painful but the overall result was good and even. She proceeded to do the lip area but I told her I only wanted my brows done. Cost $11 If you pay with credit card they will charge an extra $1 and they expect you to tip in cash too. I've been going to Ganesa threading for a few years and have a great experience every time I go. No reservations needed. There's usually no wait, or 1-2 people in line, but they always have 2+ people working, so I never spend more than 15 minutes in the store. Be careful when tipping with card or Apple pay!! Or at least ask for a receipt bc I usually say no receipt needed. I got my eyebrows threaded and paid with Apple Pay. She asked me how much tip I said $3 and even put up 3 fingers! I said no receipt and didn't think much of it. Next thing you know, I notice she tipped herself $5 instead of $3. They have the best prices for eyebrow threading, even with a tip (they do expect tips)! They got me in and out so fast, I didn't even realize my eyebrows had been threaded haha. They looked so good after too! I think all threading places have a sort of magic to shaping brows perfectly. If you have sensitive skin, I don't recommend having them put on aloe vera. I wouldn't recommend this place for WAXING. The lady burnt my underarms; the wax was so hot that I had burn boils. For two days, I literally had to use Arnica gel to ease the pain. Ganesa Threading is located in the same plaza as Gen, 7 Leaves and Kean's Coffee. I feel like I would only come here if I was already in the area and in desperate need of an emergency eyebrow threading ($8). My first visit was not memorable in any way... and my second visit recently is bordering the same emotions. I came in the late afternoon and there was conveniently no wait. The lady, who did not introduce herself, welcomed me to her seat and threaded my eyebrows. When she showed me the mirror I noticed a few strands still sticking out so I asked her to clean it up a bit more and she nicely went along with my request. After threading, there was trimming and a nice aloe application. She put on way way way too much aloe. It felt really wet. She was rubbing it over my eyebrows and forehead hoping it would absorb but at some point she had to find something to wipe the extreme excess off me. Prices are good, but there is no stamp card here unlike most other Threading shops. This definitely will not replace my go-to threading spot, but it was quick and adequate enough for a quick touch up. read more

The stories I can tell of the places I have been to from North Orange County to South Orange County! When it comes to eyebrows or any type of threading, I'm adventurous - only because of my determination to find the perfect eyebrow lady will be a relationship forever. I use to pay just $40 for my eyebrows/face when I discovered a sweet Persian girl named Soroosh in Irvine off of Sand Canyon. She ended up opening up her own business in Huntington Beach and soon enough our relationship ended... since its very distant from my usual places. My second longer relationship was in Mission Viejo mall - The lady I fell in love with as well moved out of the county, to pursue her own entrepreneurial experiences. And I can only imagine her success at this point. So I settled and resorted by default to the Buddha Brow Bar in Sand Canyon but never was it the same person, always a different style and there was a constant turnover - for whatever reason. I came to the 99 cent store and I decided to go on a whim and take the plunge - I walked and did a "Hail Mary" without looking up any review, price, or any other information. It was perfect. I described briefly - the lady got what I wanted - shape w/ not being thinned out - and I don't want hair around my eyes, forehead, and everything else in btwn - mostly bc I find full face threading to be more exfoliating than other way. It's nice feeling to remove the dead skin layers. Anyway, even though there are different ladies - it's consistent enough to know at any time a familiar face will be there. They are super efficient, detailed-oriented, kind, and their service fees are unbeatable! I hope to be with them forever and ever. read more

The technique they use for nose wax is effective, but it wouldn't be my method.. they use hot wax and a strip. Marisha (middle chair) is excellent! She listens to exactly what I want patiently and friendly. When I tell her I want something different than the regular clean up she makes sure to do it exactly as I asked and if it's not possible she'll make a plan to get the desired result over time. (Ex. I want a thicker eyebrow style so we're working on growing them out each session, while keeping them looking clean) After she's done she shows me and if I want anything changed she nicely makes the changes without making me feel rushed or like she's upset about it. I've been to the younger woman and unfortunately my eyebrows didn't come out even, they were thinner than I asked for and when I tried to have them fixed by her it still didn't turn out right. The lady threading my brows asked me how I would like them to be threaded. I asked if she could keep them thick and just clean around them and she said yes. She proceeded to do the exact opposite and took off so much of my brows on the top and left several hairs on the bottom. When I felt it going poorly I told her it feels like you are cutting off way more than I asked and she no, she wasn't and continued. When I saw them I wanted to cry. I told her she took off way too much and she just told me she didn't. I still paid and tipped because these ladies don't make a lot but I walked out extremely disappointed. There was no apology. You know the feeling when your thick brows are threaded right and the feeling when your brows are not and there is nothing you can do about it but wait a few weeks and try another place next time. If you love your thick brows then save your self the weeks of waiting for them to grow back, and find another place. read more
