Pre-Shoot Assessment Issues: A significant mismatch between the pre-shoot assessment's outcomes and the actual session led to a waste of time and reduced session duration. It appears the assessment wasn't effectively applied in preparation. The expected support from this assessment influenced the decision to choose your services, and its underutilization is disappointing. Wardrobe Description Mismatch and Session Impact: The wardrobe is described by your website as a "complete wardrobe of soft textures and colors to perfectly complement your figure and bring out that beautiful baby bump." However, it sounds like the wardrobe options were all more revealing than expected, this turned into a prolonged discussion during the session, then a need to relocate the entire session. This consumed valuable session time and devalued the 'complimentary wardrobe and styling' promise that was a deciding factor in choosing your services. Unexpected Tax Charge on Gift Package: The additional tax charge at the session's end was unexpected, feels like poor customer service, and a grey area for business practices. As the session was intended to be a complete gift, any ancillary costs should have been communicated to me and settled beforehand to ensure a frictionless experience. Additionally, the quality of communication and timeline for this time-sensitive maternity shoot was a concern. Oct. 24 - online Book Now inquiry form submitted Oct. 25 - text message sent asking to be invoiced for the package, Tilly responds with email address Oct. 25 - email sent, asking to be invoiced for the $580 package and requesting "any resources to help them prepare for the photo shoot." - support request never acknowledged Oct. 27 - no response from either email request was received, a follow-up email sent from an alternate email account Oct. 28 - Tilly responds to ask what the gift card should say. I responded to advise and ask "please also provide booking info and anything that would set them up for success in the photoshoot (shoot list, best practices, etc)" - support request never acknowledged and booking link not provided Oct. 31 - invoice sent and paid; email sent to TIlly advising invoice is paid and ask "Do you mind please sharing your availability and wardrobe info" - support request never acknowledged Nov. 1 - Tilly responds, directing my family to the homepage of her website, which does not address the multiple support requests or help facilitate the booking. I was looking for headshots to help me have a professional finish on LinkedIn and in my job search. I came to his studio with a friend, and one outfit. He has no time limit for each shoot, but I found him to be the one to guide my poses because I'd never done professional headshots before. It was great because I didn't feel rushed and as we did more and more shots I got to build my confidence. He employed my friend to do things to keep me smiling in the background and he hooked up music of our choice to his speaker system. It was seriously so so fun! I ended up booking him for photography of my wedding which included engagement session. During the engagement session, he was so funny and made both husband and I feel comfortable. This created genuine candid photos of us laughing and being playful. With new photographers, it's always scary and may feel awkward but Robbie made everything so effortless. I don't remember the turn around for receiving the photos but it wasn't anything crazy and reasonable for how busy his scheduling is. For the actual wedding, again, Robbie was on time, interactive, and made the guests and wedding party comfortable. He brought an assistant with him to get every possible photo we could dream of and let me tell you, the photos are all AMAZING. All Robbie kindly asked for was a plate of food during reception. How could you not provide that to him & his assistant when capturing the most special moments and there for 10+ hours that day. Due to getting married during July (the busiest time of year for weddings) I believe the turnaround for photos was a few months. The anticipation killed me but so worth the wait! Robbie and his team throughout the process of everything was great on communication, transparency, and really making sure you receive photos you absolutely love. I even recommended him to a couple in my wedding party who were getting married and they booked him with no hesitation! If you truly want someone you can feel comfortable with and photos you want to show to everyone 24/7 then book Robbie!

At first, he was professional and responsive -- offering tips, ideas, and fast replies. But after we paid the deposit, our experience drastically changed. Robbie offered a complimentary engagement shoot with our package, which also included a planning meeting. On the day of our scheduled meeting, he was a no-show. When I texted him, he replied, "I knew I was forgetting a meeting! I'm at a friend's birthday lol," and called us from the event. He seemed distracted and rushed through the call. He then suggested rescheduling the shoot due to weather concerns. Since we were flying in from California, this meant rearranging our travel, rental car, hair, and makeup -- at our own expense. After making those changes, he later admitted he had double-booked, and we needed to revert to the original date. After the shoot, it took several follow-ups to receive the photos. He gave vague excuses and claimed he "thought" he had emailed them (he hadn't) -- the same excuse he previously laughed about using on another bride. He also shared details about being behind on edits and personal life issues, which created an uncomfortable atmosphere. When we finally received the photos -- four months later -- they were not up to the standard we expected. We chose to redo the shoot with another photographer, which caused delays in our stationery and added unexpected costs. Ultimately, we decided not to move forward with Robbie for our wedding and notified him over six months in advance, which we believed met the terms in the contract. He disagreed and demanded the full remaining balance. After a series of tense messages, I let him know I would be consulting legal counsel, at which point he ended communication and stated, "contract is terminated." After posting this honest review, I received a message from Robbie threatening legal action if I did not take it down. Rather than take responsibility, he attempted to intimidate me into silence. I've reviewed the contract carefully and confirmed via legal consultation that I met my obligations -- including canceling with ample notice and never disputing the non-refundable deposit. I have every right to share my personal experience, and I stand by what I've written. Vendors who respond to valid criticism with threats instead of integrity reveal exactly why the criticism exists. In summary, this experience was unprofessional and disappointing. Don't let his portfolio fool you -- the experience isn't worth it.

Fun fact: Veronica Victoria Photography has been featured on Evening Magazine. So you KNOW she's good. Her studio is located in downtown Puyallup. It's small and simple, but she creates AMAZING pictures right there in that little building! She's got all sorts of props ready to go - and all sorts of toys to get baby's attention. We started off walking around the immediate area to get family shots. As a photographer should, she had such a great eye for places to get us at and was good about directing us how to pose. My husband and I are terrible at posing for photos, and she had no problem with it. She was great about rolling with the punches... The punches being that my son just wanted to run all over the place and be a crazy man. She still got SUCH amazing shots. The cake smash portion was hilarious. She had a little cake ready to go that she orders ahead of time. The color scheme for his shoot was lots of blue, so the cake was blue as well. It was a warmer day, so the studio was warm... This is why we're happy to drive over an hour away to have Veronica capture the big milestones and holidays for our family, from newborn sessions to cake smashes to Valentine's and Easter mini photo sessions. Veronica has a fantastic studio with adorable props and gorgeous backdrops. She is also amazing with children and babies. For our newborn session, our baby was wide awake and alert even after feedings. We normally have a tough time getting her to sleep (and stay asleep!), but Veronica is a veritable baby whisperer!
