It was challenging but not too hard. My son loved the apple cannon. The wagon ride is fun but be prepared to wait since it is a small wagon and very popular. They have food trucks if you want to stay and eat lunch. Pumpkin prices were reasonable and you could even pick one from the field.

What a family-friendly farm to spend some time enjoying the Fall weather. Everywhere we looked, there was something for the kids to play with. Giant slides, giant sandbox, giant CORN box, teepee, pumpkin theme tic-tac-toe, photo opp stations, pumpkin cannons and more! I can see why they have a 10-3 and 3:45 to close swim splits as it's so small it would become very crowded. The life guards are friendly and we were able to try all the jumps around the area. 30$ per person, including the 5$ reservation fee. It's cash only once you're there, so plan ahead. When we arrived, we also got a 5$ coupon for the restaurant so technically it's like 25$ a person if you end up buying food. The food was reasonably priced and was good quality. They have beer on tap too that was 6$ for about a 12oz. Lots of areas to jump off and space to swim around without it being too crowded. You'll have to do a swim test which is really easy. You jump in, swim to the platform, tread water for 1min, and then swim to the exit ladder.

In addition, some free range friends walked along with us humans on the tour and literally wanted to eat out of our hands. Our guides, Maddie and Shane, were fantastic! Extremely knowledgeable about the animals, and excellent at making sure everyone in the fairly sizable tour group had an opportunity to see or feed each animal they introduced. We bought the "Kit and Kaboodle" package which was so incredibly worth it! Some zoos allow you a "personal encounter" with one species, or by holding up an animal and letting you pet it,... but in the encounter room, Maddie and Shane spent an hour or more introducing us to at least 10 animals, all different species, in very interactive ways. We held armadillos, hand wrestled a mongoose, let a tiny monkey jump from shoulder to shoulder between us eating Fruit Loops, fed and high-fived otters, and so much more. They were an open book to the working of the farm and the thoroughbred business. It was well worth the time and money. In fact, it was a great value. The plus is Woodford Reserve Distillery is about a 3 minute drive from the farm, so we popped over there after. Great location and incredibly beautiful.
