We have stayed here several times and were impressed by the upgrades with regards to the building. It is notfancy, but comfortable, with easy access to the downtown area. Stopped here on a road trip and it met my expectations of an affordable motel. I liked the location in Dillon and felt safe here. Located across from the YMCA with nature walking trails and a fishing pond. It is a walkable distance from downtown where there are bars, churches and a Patagonia outlet store. Place is recently updated (millennial gray style- you know with lamented wood that sometimes warps and unglues). Place felt clean but not too *deep* clean like there was a ring around the toilet and what honestly looked like pop corn in it when I first arrived but nothing else out of skew. Yes a couple holes in walls but this is a motel after all. The other reviews are correct when they say there is pilling on the sheets. There is like A-LOT to the point where it is a bit of a turn off but didn't notice it wearing long sleeved clothing. We got a discount on this place and it met all other expectations so yeah I would stay here again. They have bath and body works lotions and stuff. Also breakfast foods available. read more

This motel seemed great as advertised, and seemed nice walking in. However, I began noticing many issues regarding its cleanliness. Some of the towels were stained dirty - I understand that towels can change colors, but these should absolutely not be given to guests as they do not come off as clean. Along with the stained towels, I found long hairs in the white bath towels. I dried off with my dirty pajamas because I did not want to rub someone else's used towel on my clean body. The dark walls showed clear dust all over them. The bedding had various stains, as well as hairs and lint. The bathtub was a bit dirty, and the shower head provided a very wide, uneven spread of water, causing me to take a longer shower than usual just to get all the soap out. I tried sucking it up and dealing with it, but what really ticked me off is when I looked at my feet, not even 10 minutes after my shower. They were covered in dirt and crumbs. I could walk around my house with shoes on for a month straight, and my bare feet still would not be as dirty as they were walking on this floor. I have stayed in many motels, and nothing has beat the uncleanliness of this one. read more

Avoid this place if at all possible! The person/persons running the lodge are either completely ignorant, or get great pleasure at making your stay intolerable. Supposidly there are 32 rooms at this location in Dillon Montana. At 9 PM there were only 4 cars parked out front. After a long day of driving, my wife and I THOUGHT we were going to get a good nights sleep..... Yeah right! Directly above us some crack heads must have been leased the room and all they did all night was move furniture (literally you could hear wood scraping the floor), pace back and forth, and make other various noises that kept us awake. I really wanted a confrontation with this guy, but my wife kept me grounded in belief there may be violence/gun play. You would think the lodge manager would alternate room positions so guests would not be disturbed. As for cleanliness of the room.. the towels were not folded leading me to believe someone else had used them. Still trash in the waste basket. The bed....no scratching or itching yet. Same 4 cars still parked out front...all right next to each other! Horrible! Would NEVER stay here again, and if it wasnt so late and road conditions so icy and full of snow, we would have left! read more

They advertise BACON, BUSCUITS AND GRAVY for breakfast. THEY DO NOT PROVIDE THAT! They advertise breakfast is until 10:00am. It ends at 9:00am. We were not given fresh towels for the last 3 days of our 7 day stay. FALSE ADVERTISING. Substandard service.They did not have the courtesy to plow the parking lot which was filled with snow/slush/ice making it very difficult for guests to get from the car to room. booked a larger suite on vrbo, they charged me 166 dollars, when I got there and tried to check in, I was told rather rude they did not have it available and that vrbo shouldn't show it as so. I digressed, bought another room, for 130 dollars, thinking surely they wouldn't charge me twice. They had no cots to rent, and there was 5 of us. were just trying to have a good time in Dillion so we accepted our room kindly and apologized for any inconvenience and confusion. The comforters were covered in hair, littered with muddy dog paws, and the floors had not been cleaned. We still had a good time, however, the straw that broke my back was finding out they indeed charged me for the larger room and then charged me again for the other room. I understand accidents happen but the woman at the front desk got visibly annoyed when I tried to show her my reservation and the amount I was charged. She even brought over her supervisor, and she was just as rude. I was gonna chalk it up to you guys were having a bad day, but truly this was the worst experience at a hotel I've ever had. You can't make that big of a deal over not having a room and telling me I'm crazy because that's not possible and the room wasn't available to begin with, and then charge me over 300 dollars for both rooms, and it looked like a housekeeper had never been in there, from somebody who used to housekeep, the whole thing was a bust. Hopefully I can get my 166 dollars back for a room I was told was full. read more

I stayed there in July 2022. The only reason for the 2 is the location, across the street from the YMCA, and the nice people. Or it was headed on a well deserved "1".People who gave this place a high rating must have been staying in homeless camps. The motel looks pretty from a distance but it is beat up and semi clean. The room floor was filthy. Like your bare feet were black. Beds ok. Worst shower I have since salt water Navy showers. NO DEAD BOLT, but we stuck a leatherman in the door crack. We are seniors and the room is dark with two small lamps, no overhead lighting. No garbage pickup, either in the room or on the property. House keeping was a your fella knocking on the door with " what cha need". We were supposed to stay 4 days but left after two. The manager was great and friendly. She gave us a two day refund and she would not be required without a fight. I went over all the above details. She was sorry and she cannot hire any housekeepers BOTTOM LINE SKIP THIS PLACE UNTIL THE OWNERS SEND SOME MONEY ON REPAIRS AND CLEANERS. read more

I'm from Utah and I work at a ski resort called Snowbird. the Iron Blosam is one of the lodges I work at as a housekeeper. While I was here I would give the cleanliness of the room a 10/10. Ps I hate cleaning up the garbage so we took it out for ya :) Anyway... This place was fantastic, I don't know what the other lady was talking about. The pillows were soft, the bed was soft. The windows were left open, preventing the temperature of the room to be to cold or hot. I really appreciated the windows being left open. Our average room temperature was around 80 degrees. The breakfast was fantastic and yummy! The breakfast place was clean and cozy. Thank you Beaverhead Lodge we hope to seen you soon! Hope you don't get any crazy clients again like the 1 star lady. Not a destination resort, but if you're looking for clean but basic digs at a reasonable rate (although the rate was advertised as $89.00/ night & with animal fee, taxes, etc, turned out to be $159.00), this is your place. The customer service was friendly, the morning breakfast was great (perfect eggs!), it was a short dog walk to downtown & a public park with kid's fishing pond. If they could get some pros to do the renovation work, & some new mattresses, just a ltitle TLC would transform this place into a place you'd want to take your family on vacation. read more

Do not support this establishment. I try never to leave negative reviews, but I have to give a scathing review for this place and how the owner and employees treated us. We booked a stay here for 4 nights while we were hunting this fall. The room was fine and seemed like they were trying to fix the place up. Unfortunately on day 3 we discovered a bedbug in our room which was full of blood it had sucked out of one of us. We alerted the employee at the desk and showed her the bug and nicely asked what they could do for us, like maybe a discount since we were going to have to go through all the hassle of sterilizing our clothes and gear that was in the room so we didn't bring any back to our own homes. The employee talked to her manager and then called us back informing us that we needed to immediately leave the establishment within 30 minutes (even though we still had another night on our reservation andit was 8pm and we had just gotten back after hunting all day).. she went on to say that what we had found was not a bed bug even though it is 100% a bed bug (a picture is attached so you can decided for yourself- what other bloodsucking bug lives in a hotel room in Montana in the middle of winter? Certainly not a tick). She went on to say that if we were not gone in 30min that she was going to call the police. We weren't combative, or rude or anything and I told her I thought that escalated quickly but she wouldn't budge on her position (which she was obviously the messenger for the owner who refused to talk to us himself). As we were packing up all our stuff (we had a lot) the cops arrived. Can you believe that? The cops were polite and just waited until we were packed and left. We were lucky there was another hotel available that night in that small town during hunting season. Bad customer service and certainly no way to treat polite respectful guests.
