This was our second choice after our first had a long wait. So we arrived about 8:45 and we were able to seated right away. Like most things in Broken Bow, there was a bit of a wait to sit by 9:45. We enjoyed that they have seating for larger groups. There were several 8 and 4 tops available. The omelets were meh, pancakes and biscuits and gravy were good. The bacon was fatty and undercooked and had to be ordered à la carte. The waitress didn't give warm and fuzzy vibes. We came here for breakfast around 9 a.m. The crowd wasn't too big, and our food came out in about 10 minutes. Everything was freshly made, and let me tell you--the biscuits and gravy were out of this world! So delicious they'll send you to another universe. The sausage came in two huge pieces with what tasted like an applewood flavor--absolutely amazing. The eggs were perfectly cooked, and the coffee was just as satisfying. From what I could tell, the place might be run by two sisters, and they're doing an incredible job handling everything themselves. Friendly, fast, and delicious--what more could you want? Long wait for food, poor service. Workers seemed to be in bad spirits and there was a worker who maybe was 12 years old who looked to be working way too hard for their age. Fellow eaters seemed to have bad vibes because of the bad service. Girlfriend said coffee was very basic. Once food finally came after 50min, bacon was burnt and expensive. The potatoes were bland and soggy. Omelette was so boring. Biscuit was decent but the gravy had 0 taste. If you have no other option, it is edible. Small restaurant, wasn't super busy when we went. Food came out fast and the servers were friendly. I got a cheeseburger with tots and my husband got a patty melt with grilled jalapeños. The burger was handmade, it was just ok. I wasn't a huge fan, but it wasn't the worst thing I've had. My husband absolutely loved his patty melt. We loved our breakfast. The pancakes, hash browns and sausage were fantastic. The bacon tasted like it has extra smoke flavor, which was very yummy. Biscuits and gravy was really good too, I think they were homemade biscuits. Everything was very hot, except the syrup. The only thing I didn't like was the iced tea. I felt sorry for the server, she was was running the dining room by herself, and it was really busy for a Tuesday. We will definitely eat there again on our next trip to Broken Bow. read more

Another solid performance from Beaver's Bend Restaurant. We went for lunch as I wanted to try their catfish. This is how catfish should be made, with cornmeal and not flour. It was delicious!! The fish was the star and they did not over do it. I would recommend. The okra was flavorful and the onion rings were a hit. Most places over compensate the onion with breading, once again, they did not. The onion was the star. They are big and worth a try. Be patient with the staff as they are busy, but very friendly!! The fish was good, but the potato could have been cooked a little more. It was still a little hard at the bottom. This was horrible. Was waiting for our food for 1 hour. when I asked if it was on our way was told it was being plated,but 20 minutes later was told they were out of mashed potatoes. Then continued to wait with no refills on drinks. Not one service really even acknowledged our table. This restaurant was also hot with no AC. We just walked out with our hungry kids. The food was also good. We ate here during the week so it wasn't crowded. We ate a couple of days ago at Steven's Gap, so I can compare breakfast with another local, well known restaurant. It's a tie. Almost identical food with SG in every way. Very Cracker Barrel-ish type of food. A beautiful location for Sunday brunch. They even had live music. Our breakfast was superb!! We ordered 2 things and shared. The avocado toast with scrambled eggs on top was by far the best I have ever had. The croissant French toast with candied walnuts was out of this world melt in your mouth great. Yesterday I would have given a 5 star review, but unfortunately today changed that. Breakfast & service was so good we decided to come back the next day. However the service was not what it was the day prior. We ended up waiting 45 minutes for our food while watching other large parties that arrived after us receive their food. We were not checked on or asked if we needed refills. After waiting 45 mins and watching our waitress buss other tables and avoid eye contact we finally got her attention. She said she would go check on the food and suddenly one second later she came out with it all in an instant so it was obviously all waiting back there (some of the food was even cold). She just started handing plates out to the wrong people and didn't say sorry for the wait or have any good customer service. We also didn't have silverware so had to wait for that and didn't get our drinks refilled at all. When we brought it to the cashiers attention she kindly apologized and explained that they had been backed up in the kitchen. I totally understand that and would have been happy to wait if our waitress took the time to check on us and explain the hold up, but unfortunately that was not the case. We came in for breakfast this morning as we are on vacation and simply do not want to cook. I had the bacon and 2 eggs that came with hash browns and biscuit with gravy. For my breakfast, it was simple and as advertised. The coffee was similar to any other diner coffee. Staff was great and super friendly. Food came out quick. Me & my wife had the catfish & shrimp combo with fries, hushpuppies, okra, Cole slaw & onion rings for our sides. Being a Texas native we as Texans grow up on fried catfish since we're kids, this was one of the most unique tasting fried catfish I've ever eaten. For some amazing reason the tail ends or crispy ends of the filet tasted just like bacon! It was unbelievable! Everything was so scrumptious & tasty, I was disappointed with the cole slaw and I love cole slaw but 1 thing out of so much didn't make a dent in my opinion! Keep up the delicious work! Came for breakfast with a large group on the day after Easter. Place started out nearly empty but filled up soon after . Food was okay. Nothing spectacular. Your basic eggs, omlettes, pancakes. It was like IHOP but with a lot less opyions. Some of our group wanted burgers or wings but was told we can't order that until after 11 am. There was aslso only 1 server running the entire place so service was a little slow. read more
