These things are HUGE, and delicious! The cinnamon rolls are the size of a dinner plate, and the fritters are perfect. This place is a decadent way to become fat and broke if you aren't careful. Pace yourself! The service is great! The ladies working the counter are friendly and fast. The ambience is fun, with humorous phrases and jokes scattered about. I'm in love with this place. The donuts and the bagels are off the charts. The customer service is excellent as well. Our visit was impromptu so we didn't look at the closing hours and ended up walking in after closing. Everyone was super friendly and we weren't treated like a burden. Instead the owner took care of us and provided us with info about the place and food. He also gave us two free donuts! The bagels are shipped in from the Bronx . Stopped in cause of the cute name and I'm glad I did! I've never been here or any of their other locations before but I will definitely be back when I'm in the area. I was greeted by a very friendly man (I think he was the owner not sure though) asked if I've ever been there before and I told him I had not, he guided me to all the good flavors and even gave me a glazed doughnut on the house to try! They have a drive-thru if you don't feel like getting out of your car which is nice. If you do decided to go in they have plenty of seating inside and outside. If you're not a big coffee drinker they have plenty of other options coke and hot! Like I said, will definitely be back because of the amazing doughnuts and super friendly staff! read more

This was my first order from the Dough-Joe, and the donuts are out of this world delicious!! It was my boss's birthday, so I got 2 dozen donuts, 6 cinnamon twists and 6 maple covered long johns (filled with white icing). Several people raved about how good the donuts were, including my boss! Customer service was great, and the order was already bagged up and ready to be picked up when I arrived. Came here in our way back to NY with my boyfriend as we were in the area. The DONUTS HERE ARE SUPERB! . I tried the chocolate donut and glazed. Both were delicious. We also had a sausage egg and cheese on a plain bagel. We took it to go and when I opened the foil to my sandwich, I was greeting by a beautiful RAINBOW BAGEL . It definitely put a smells on my face. There was one morning that they were busy, and I was going to pull out of the drive thru because I didn't want to be late for work. The owner or maybe manager, a really nice man, came out and asked if I was alright. I told him I just needed to go to work that I was running late and couldn't wait in line that day . I went on a Saturday around 10-11am and let's just say I wish I had listened to the fellow yelp reviewers. They aren't lying! So I went through the drive thru and I was excited to order a box of donuts . They were sold out of most and only things left were blueberry donuts and 2 cinnamon rolls. I was told by the lady that I could order ahead through Facebook messenger or call in the day before. I got an iced caramel coffee to wash it down with and the coffee was ok not too caffeinated. I wouldn't go back for iced coffee personally but would wake up early to order a dozen donuts with a variety of flavors and also for my roommates of course . Beaver's Dough-Joe is a great family owned donut shop in the Karns area of Knoxville. They have creative flavors, as well as classics. The inside is cozy and clean. Everyone behind the counter was friendly. My only complaint is that we showed up only 40 minutes after opening on a Saturday and most of their flavors were gone already. It was very slim pickings. We did try their Maple in both cake and flour, sour cream old fashioned and a strawberry cake one. And my son had a cake one with sprinkles on it. The donuts are fresh and satisfy any sweet cravings you are having. Next time hopefully I'll get their early enough to try some other flavors! read more

I found them to be sweet, but the donuts were soft and airy for a cake donut. I found it to be moist and easy to eat compare to other cake donuts that tend to be slightly dry. The school bus loaded with students, ride passes Beaver's Dough Joe each morning. My son, who rides the bus, says each morning he could smell fresh baked doughnuts coming from Beaver's Dough Joe. Dont want to be unfair, we only tried 2 types of doughnuts, and although they have good flavor they were very dry. Not to mention none of the doughnuts we wanted were available (probably our fault we went in on Wednesday 10am). I understand with the current pandemic there are precautions people have to take, but as first time visitors we had no clue what they had and we weren't allowed inside, only drive thru is open. With cars waiting behind you, you feel pressure to keep the line moving. The young lady must have misunderstood my order because she gave me 2 of everything I ordered, I was thinking it was expensive but after looking inside the bag, I realized why. Great Donuts, Their flagship item the "beaver tail" is delicious- although fair warning this several pound pastry is probably enough for 2-3 people. The new dough griddle is a masterpiece, a glazed donut sandwich with bacon or sausage and cheese. The regular selection of donuts (most of which I've tried at this point) are all fantastic- I think their chocolate iced glazed it my favorite.
