A much-needed coffee shop in this quickly growing area. A wide variety of offerings, with both hot and cold coffees, teas, smoothies (including protein-infused), and ice cream and locally-baked pastries. The inside is wonderful. A mixture of industrial and rustic. There are high ceilings with metal supports and modern lighting and plenty of wood touches that warm up the shop. A corner houses local merch and goods from a bunch of differing vendors and a wall contains announcements, posts, and events happening within the community. Love this! It is a large space with an abundance of seating-both larger tables, 2-seater tables, and a few sets of cushy couches and chairs. There is even a small room in the back that looks like a conference or quiet work space. Speaking of work, note that there only seem to be a few spots with wall outlets in case you need to plug in for some laptop juice. I have now been here a few times and have tried: Hot mocha: This was probably my favorite drink. Smooth, espresso still stood out, and just the right amount of sweetness. Somewhat of a bitter, dark chocolate taste that I was a fan of. Hot latte: This was good, but not the best I've had locally. Hot chocolate: My son loved this. They put whipped cream on the top and chocolate sauce. Note that it is a tad pricey for hot chocolate. Iced caramel macchiato: My husband's favorite. He has gone back several times for this drink, specifically. Nutella Croissant: This was okay.. fairly dried out, sadly. I like that they offer to heat it for you. I would try one of their savory options instead next time. Love the vibes at this shop and the prices are competitive with other local coffee spots. Came by for an espresso drink. They use Elmhurst oat milk, not my favorite AND charge an extra $2 (!!!) for any non dairy milk which is by far the highest upcharge I've ever seen anywhere even outside Tennessee. My drink came out okay, but by no means worth $7.54 that I paid. Service was excellent, but I would never go back there out of principle as they charge so much for non-dairy milk. This is my first visit to this place. So this is my First impression... This coffee shop gives me an industrial feel with a touch of country. The decor is a mixed of clean industrial look with some warm country ambiences. The country music being played at the shop adds the warm tone to the place. Finally H/H (hungry hubby) and I were able to stop by one of the newest coffee shops around us!! I am soooo impressed! I don't drink coffee so I wasn't sure what there would be got me. I didn't need to worry at all! They have coffee (of course) all kinds of tea, smoothies, and even milk shakes! Wonderful pastries, and sandwiches made by a local Cuban restaurant. HH loved his coffee (and bring military they honored us with as discount)! I had the ...CHOCOLATE MINT herb Tea!! Never heard of such a thing and it was yummy!!! We shared a Chocolate Croissant that was so flaky and enjoyable. We were so surprised to see they carried our local Mayfield ice cream for scooping or shakes. The shop also has local items for sale; earring (I bought a pair) , soaps, T-shirts etc. There are tables, couches & even a community room to have a small meeting. While we were there today there was 8-10 people doing a painting class even. The community board is a real great touch! Lastly, the STAFF!! Great ladies working today and so patient!! This location is just around the corner from my house and what a hidden gem from rest of Knoxville. I can't imagine anyone driving all the way across town to Harden Valley, but it would certainly be worth your drive. I love the cafe style seating with a great lounge area for a morning or afternoon meeting. The coffee selections are all the items you find at most coffee companies but certainly a few new favorites. I'm really big a on strong brew and bold taste and was pleasantly surprised there coffee didn't disappoint. My personal favorite are all of their pastry items. They have two items that is made by a local pastry chef that are absolutely buttery flaky mouthwatering delights! The spinach & cheese and the ham & cheese are soo good you might want to order 2 or more! While I use to be an avid morning Starbucks go'er this has been a nice take over and without the long waits I highly recommend! read more

Ok, let me first say I have been a long time supporter of Sunago since they opened. Well, no more. After many let downs, this one takes the cake. In the photo you will see my cup of cold brew with oat milk. Strike one: they charge $2 upcharge for non dairy milk EVEN THOUGH dairy is just as expensive but never an upcharge. Strike two: Even though I paid $2 for oat milk the barista once again didn't shake the carton so she just added oat water to my coffee. Strike 3: when I tried to resolve the issue privately by reaching out to the owner on Instagram to voice my concern and ask why this was happening, THEY BLOCKED ME, hahaha!! I would always hang out at coffee shops to study for hours so I thought it would be a great place for my kids to meet their friend and exchange christmas gifts. My daughter was showing her friend all the different types of cookies she baked for their family and the staff said we couldn't have outside food there but it was only a gift and not food we were eating..it was so uncomfortable being there with rude staff so we just left. I want to give this place a higher review but the service is not good like...at all. All the baristas who i've interacted with are very nice EXCEPT whoever works the register. They are so slow and inefficient when it comes to taking orders there's always a long line. For example if my fiance and I order 2 different pastries there is no need to put my name on my order and his name on his esp if we are paying together. They will forgot the orders easily and even when they put in the order it takes a long time. There's always a super long line and it's only because the person in charge of the register is just so soooo slow. The people who make the coffee are somewhat quick which makes up for it a little bit. The first few times I have been there I got their ice latte which is great! But this time I got the ice matcha latte and it was so bad - they use Tazo matcha flavoring so there's no matcha in the drink whatsoever (if you're looking for a good ice matcha latte I really recommend honeybee bc they use real matcha in their drinks). The pastries are really good! My favorite is the bagel and pastelitos! The gf muffin I would not recommend. The place itself it very cute, very spacious and a great place for studying with lots of desks! Overall, yes I will come back here just because it is very conveniently located to me, their coffee drinks (not the matcha drinks), and pastries are good. First, I had too high of expectation. Originally felt so excited that there's a new coffee shop opened in the Harding Valley area. Then we went, the interior looks pretty cute. Staffs talk nice but the drinks we ordered took really long. I got a Matcha Latte, which I often get from all different coffee shops. I waited long for it, and opened the lid. It looks like matcha milk, instead of matcha latte. For a latte you would generally expect frothed milk foam and a pattern. There's nothing like that in my cup. Then I had a sip, it tastes like diluted, sweetened green tea water mixed with a lot of milk. To me it looks like they had no idea of what a matcha latte is. It's not that hard. I paid $7 for my drink and had to dump the whole thing after 3 sips. My coworker's chai latte is also bad. Another coworker's dripped coffee is just so so. If you go for the environment, it's fine. But if you go for good drinks, think twice. read more

The workers and owners are amazing and kind people that have had to deal with more than their fair share of difficulties when running a small business. They make relationships with their customers and love their community. They support shopping small by providing space for local makers to sell their items and allowing them to keep 100% of the profits. Sunago coffee is a supper cute place to enjoy a few hours and get work done. The staff is supper nice and care about there customers. The Pasteur look and taste amazing. The coffee is smooth and rich. It is very good coffee. I don't know if any other customers experienced a leaky lid with her ice coffee but I definitely did. Sometimes it happens with lids and you clean it off and then close the lid again and it won't leak but this lid no matter what you did it always leak maybe I just had a bad lid.
