We didn't need to comb through reviews here and at Google, but we did need to establish criteria before my son cross-referenced what customers were saying about 24-hour taxis in order to make the best choice. Seriously, read a few from other taxi companies. When I learned that he'd chosen Metro Cab, had already contacted them through their online form with all of the information they needed, and that they'd sent a professional reply within 30 minutes, I started to relax. After my son thought to change the pick up time in case of unforeseen delays, they quickly texted back saying that they'd be waiting for him by the agreed upon arrival time. Then the day before my son's flight, Metro Cab touched base to say they were still available. So professional. Of course, my son confirmed that he'd still be flying out. What I liked most about Metro Cab was that they'll use the flight number you give them to monitor things on their end. This was super important because my son's flight was set to be delayed by an hour before they even took off from Bush. *eye roll emoji* My son's experience with Metro Cab was so seamless that he didn't bother taking the MAX Red back to the airport after his conference ended, even though it was broad daylight. It was Metro Cab or bust.* Thanks Metro Cab! *A true surprise to me since my son initially didn't see anything wrong with taking a gamble on the Red line in the eleventh hour, a natural side effect of being an NYC subway passenger.

They have plenty of space for a family and car seats if you request it. My most recent experience was during the snow storm of 2017. I needed to get to the airport for an early flight and the roads were covered in snow and ice. Another car service raised their rates almost 4x, over $200 for a single trip to the airport - price gouging people that don't have another option. USA Airport Shuttle had to put on chains but they were prepared and still arrived 15 minutes early and with a smile. Oday was one of the nicest and best drivers I've encountered. Their commitment to me has earned my commitment to them. After multiple trips and a lot of experience with different car services in different cities - I can honestly say that they are the top choice in PDX.

Lucked out with same day door to door service - We've been able to call on these guys a couple of…read moretimes in a hurry and pinch with very fast response and flexibility. Sometimes emergencies or rush situations happen and scheduling medical transport with wheelchair capability can be a serious hassle since most transport requires advanced scheduling and planning. COMPARISONS - Sadly many insurance don't cover non-emergency medical transport. Getting old isn't cheap and medical transport isn't either, compared to other similar services ANEMT rates are average to a little better. MetroWest transport is the most popular and great, but they are constantly booked at least 1-2 days out or 5-10 hours for same day. MetroWest also has stair capable wheelchairs and stretchers by request and door to door service. TriMet offers basic medical transport for fairly cheap via shuttle, but they don't offer door to door so you'll need someone to push if the chair isn't motorized and electric. Uber and Lyft have wheelchair capable vehicles, but again, no door to door service and requires advanced scheduling. Interestingly Kaiser Washington State insurance covers non-emergency transport, but not in Oregon. Above and beyond - Along with being able to respond quickly with door to door service, they helped with transferring inside the home to and from the wheelchair. Aways super nice and friendly guys. Easy pay via credit card through a tex message link or over the phone. Have questions, be sure to ask, they are very helpful and accommodating.
