This unique ice cream parlor has a large deck outside to sit and enjoy the tasty treats being served up inside. Once you're inside, you can peruse the many, many different flavors of ice cream. Every time I come here (maybe 5 or 6 times per summer) I purchase myself a delightful single scoop (which is more like 3 heaping scoops) waffle cone. Their waffle cones are stupendous! My favorite flavor has got to be the blueberry waffle cone. It's vanilla ice cream with blueberries and waffle cone pieces mixed in. Fantastic. I was at the Corner House on 6/1/13...still awesome. The staff are very friendly and patient...I simply cannot decide...that's why I always get the same thing. The last time I was there, I had the girl behind the counter mix me up a delicious vanilla and orange sherbet shake. I was amazed at how large it was. It tasted great as well. If you're up for the challenge, there's also the Pig's Platter. I have never attempted this, but the Pig's Platter consists of 2 bananas, 5 large scoops of ice cream and 5 toppings. Whipped cream and nuts are optional. If you take it all down, you get your name on the wall. Some have done it multiple times in a day. Remember: just cash or check at this establishment. But if you're in Gladwin, a lot of small businesses are usually limited to cash or check.

There is always a vast variety of ice cream flavours to please even the pickiest of frozen fare eaters, and the custard is truly to die for! Every time I end up back in Michigan, this place is on my must-go list, and this visit, I tried the chocolate chip almond coconut ice cream. I'm not even a huge fan of ice cream in the summer months, but this was AMAZING!! Just the right amount of everything, with little melt-in-your-mouth mini chocolate chips to offset the sweetness of the coconut. My husband had some sort of double Dutch chocolate concoction, which despite being a double scoop in a waffle cone -- and despite his skinny build -- was literally obliterated in seconds. Hot food is also served here, so we shared a platter of well-done french fries [we're into the crispy!] and hot dogs. I almost couldn't eat any ice cream, which was the whole reason we came in the first place, once we finished, but it's incredible how a girl's body can suddenly digest a little faster just so she can fit the sweet stuff in afterwards :P We ended up taking home almost 2 pints of ice cream with us, and they were naturally polished off before we left the state! The prices are incredibly reasonable, and cannot be replicated by any store-bought ice cream, no matter how expensive they are. What can I say, I'm spoiled! What I really appreciated was the courtesy of the employee who put on the first scoop and asked if I wanted the other 2 scoops, since it was for my child.
