We had heard great things about this place... we came to Beaverton Florist in hopes of scheduling an appointment to pick flowers for our fathers funeral. We wanted this to be a family decision, that we would do together and we're hopefully to schedule an appointment on a Monday. The women working the counter was very stand offish explaining how they didn't have any sales personnel on Mondays as it was a "catch up day" due to a high amount of flowers coming in to the store. She then proceeded to tell us just look on the computer at flowers and pick them out that day. When she asked how we planned on paying, granted, we hadn't even picked flowers out... we explained we were going to pay 5 ways... as in split it between siblings and our uncle. She stood back from the computer and expressed she didn't know how to do that and that we needed to pay as one bill and "figure out the rest ourselves" There were many others comments from 2 employees that ultimately lead to us leaving the business. Yes emotions were high as we had just lost our father and we're planning a funeral, but the customer service was very poor and we felt like a burden by our experience in a time we were grieving and had no sympathy for our loss. I did not want to write a review online as I did not want to post this to yelp AT ALL. I chose to call and ask to speak with the Owner regarding the manner. I was transferred to a voicemail and have yet to hear back on the manner after several work days. Overall very disappointed and took our business elsewhere and we were greeted by a fantastic staff and great customer service! read more

Could not be happier!!! A friend just bought a house and I was searching for a specific look of an Orchid and Beaverton Florist NAILED IT!!! I found what I was looking for on their website but called the store to see if it was possible to get it delivered same day - I feel horrible, but I forgot her name, but the person on the phone what so helpful! Wow!! This florist knows how to do things right!! We live in New York and wanted to send a little something to relatives living in Beaverton. We simply made an order online (althought we also could have called) and Beaverton Florists took command from there! I have been looking for a florist in the area but never had a need to investigate or visit any, until I was invited to attend a dinner and wasn't allowed to bring anything. The wife didn't drink and the husband was fully stocked. So after consulting my consigliere (Mom) I settled on flowers. Like any typical florist Beaverton Florists closes at 6pm and because I had 16 maybe 17 minutes to spare in Beaverton "traffic" I raced over and dove through the doors with minutes to spare. The customer service was tops! I was greeted by everyone and when I apologized for springing on them at the last minute I received a genuine "Its perfectly okay" in return. You may be questioning my rating based on my pleasant experience but to be honest one thing really struck me as odd. 1. I was constantly asked "How much are you willing to spend?" in several different ways. "What's your price range?" was another. The problem here is, though I understand it is important be more proactive and set the gauge for me. Provide a mental image of what you get for what price, which brings me to the second. 2. Price per value. I deal with florists often. Often in various cities, large cities, an in varying seasons. Off season I would not expect to pay prime season prices and receive a step above FTD quality arrangements. I was disappointed in the end result but understand my dismay could possibly be the result of my timing. I will continue to give them my business because I appreciated the warmth of service and hope building a rapport will help turn things around. read more

I know this is horribly cliche to say, but honestly, if I could give Beaverton Florists a negative amount of stars, I would! I went in this morning, to order an elegant/romantic arrangement for my wife for our 2 year anniversary. I picked a beautiful one out of the book that they had, and was told it would only be 15 minutes for them to make it. The receptionist brought the picture over to the florist to show her what I wanted, and instead of acknowledging her or myself, she said "I have to take this call," and started talking on the phone. I decided to just be patient and wait for her to finish, but little did I know that she would be on that damn phone for over fifteen minutes. (she was still on it when I chose to leave) After the receptionist could see that I was getting a little bit inpatient, she showed the other florist who was in the back what I wanted and made sure to tell her that I had been waiting for over 20 minutes now, and that my arrangement had not even been started. That florist then said to the receptionist "We don't have any roses. She will have to pick something else." Well, the thing is, I didn't want anything else. I came in with what I wanted in mind, and with the proper amount of money to pay for it. (a 75 dollar arrangement) Although I was pretty angry, I politely asked if they by any chance knew of another local florist that I could go to that would have roses. The receptionist turned to the florist and asked her, and she looked at me and gave me a horribly dirty look and said, "Um, NO!" It was extremely rude and unprofessional, and definitely not a way to treat a customer. I will be sure to tell ALL of my family and friends to steer clear of this florist due to their horrible customer service. read more

Beaverton florist came highly recommended to me by a few friends that had used them for their wedding. When we went in for our consultation the woman that took the notes and pictures of what I wanted was very nice and helpful. A few times she ran back to the lead designer to ask questions, always returning with my questions answered. Fast forward to my wedding day. The delivery guy shows up and was rather rude. He hands me my bouquet and then says "well, here is the rest." 2 larger arrangements. I asked if the designer was coming to set the rest of it up as there was to be a flower archway connected to the 2 larger arrangements. He said, "Nope. This is it. I guess you can call this number but probably won't get an answer as they're closed now..." s he hands me a card with the number. I called, left a message, never ever got a call back. My mother who is friends with someone that used to work there was able to get the owners # and called him. He was rude, condescending and not helpful at all. You would think that as a business that has been around for years, you would try and do SOMETHING to help fix your mess up. But no, nothing was done. Not even an apology. This was heartbreaking. The missing piece was the focal point of my flowers. What would have been absolutely stunning...was not. Along with that missing piece was also the cake flowers. My cake lady ended up having to cut flowers off my larger bouquets to use on my cake. After never receiving a response from the owner, I called 3 days later only to be told he was "to busy to talk on the phone. " Called again the next day and was told he would be given the message and call me back..never happened. I did receive a partial refund but not nearly enough. And again, was never even called and talked to. Very, very disappointed! read more

I usually browse online, but come in to the store to order what I've settled on wanting - I like to hand write my cards versus sending something online that might be typed, or if written not by me. Don't wanna chance it, I want the delivery to be personal. On a couple of occasions, I came in with minimal concepts only and they have come up with essentially custom arrangements with no problem. This is especially important as though I am willing to pay a pretty penny for quality flowers - and have, on several occasions. However, I don't always have those means so they come up with something that meets both my sentimental and financial needs. The quality is there, they've never messed up a delivery, their e-mail notifications are great, and you earn points with each purchase.
