I arrived at Laural Landing - Founder Community on May 2, 2025, to sign the contract for our Wallace home. At that time, we thought it would be a wonderful experience for my family and me, as this was a whole new journey for us. However, things took a turn for the worse. Prior to signing the contract, the salesperson, Mrs. Q, informed us that the tax rate was 2.7% and the HOA fee was $900. When I reviewed the contract, I discovered that the tax rate was actually 3.30% and the HOA fee was $950. When I brought this discrepancy to Mrs. Q's attention, she claimed she was unaware of the wording in the contract and that no one had previously brought it to their attention. I also called the lender's office, and they too stated they were not aware of the verbiage. Consequently, I submitted a cancellation letter to the salesperson, requesting to cancel my contract due to the lack of accurate information provided to me. When the regional salesperson contacted me, she reassured me that I didn't need to worry about my home being under a contingency plan and that earnest money wouldn't need to be paid immediately; both would need to be settled before my home was built. Trusting her word, I moved forward. However, on July 3, 2025, I received a text from Mrs. Q stating that I had to place my home on the market and pay my earnest money by July 24, 2025, in the amount of $6,132.00. I reminded her that Beniata had previously told me not to worry about the contingency and the earnest money. On July 5, 2025, I visited the office, and the salesperson informed me that the manager denied ever giving me that information. I am extremely frustrated with the lack of communication and honesty from the builder. What was supposed to be a wonderful experience has instead been filled with false promises, disappointments, and regrets. What I initially believed to be a reputable builder has shown me a troubling lack of communication, trust, and professionalism that needs to be addressed in the sales department. read more

My personal experience and recommendation is to STAY AWAY unless you want to deal with many issues and feel like a babysitter. Desiree, from the design studio, has poor customer service. We had multiple issues with the countertops I asked her to organize them. Her response was "I don't have time for that". Because of so many problems with the build a V-I-P stepped in and that was a joke. I was upset with how things were going; I was told if they wanted to they could cancel the contract. From cracked wood, scratched up bathtubs, oil spewed all over the driveway, uneven tile floors, bad paint job, living room wall looked horrible, hole in the roof, unsecured wiring through the attic, they forgot to install AC copper line, and had to cut the wall two stories up. Two days before closing we all stood inside doing the final walkthrough. How does one approve the sale of a below-standard home? It's unbelievable that the living room wall had a deformation, the lawn was torn up, the paint throughout the home was horrible, uneven tiles, and oil stains on the driveway from shady contractor vehicles parked. Yet, y'all are ok to call it a completed home? Needless to say, the closing was postponed as we demanded that the issues be addressed. Wouldn't this make you feel extremely upset, and disrespected? Perhaps new management is in order from the top of the Hill down to the bottom? Save yourself from the headaches and don't let my experience be yours. read more

I closed on my Beazer home Dec 2021. Not the best time, but wanted to get in by Christmas. Fast forward to March 2022 - grass / yard - so many gaps and so uneven -- was told to be patient and that it would grow in! It is now the end of July and you still cant walk on the grass without tripping. Do they care --- not so much. Other issues required constant back and forth until they finally fixed them (yard drainage - both sides, roof leak; several windows leaking; kitchen cabinets). They pretty much stop just short of calling you a "liar" when you report issues and they close issues without telling you. Quality of the workmanship is less than expected for the price that you pay - yes we the consumers are paying more; but the quality does not warrant the high price tag. Be very careful when buying a Beazer home in The Highlands of Porter, Texas. My girlfriend and I pulled our contract on a new home with Beazer 2 weeks before closing. We made this decision after viewing our home multiple times and noticing major flaws, poor materials being used, and lack of quality workmanship. The trim work around the windows was shorty, large gaps between doors and frames, a/c in the attic that tilted to one side etc...They are slapping these homes up as fast as they can without a care for quality. We were told everything would be fixed, but why not do the work properly the first time to avoid buyers' angst. There aren't that many homes being built by Beazer in this particular area, and the building manager obviously has no concern for quality control. We were told by him that $400k doesn't buy much of a home these days. I beg to differ because we ended up buying from another builder, and the home is quality built with superior products. Begrudgingly, we lost $4k in earnest money because our "excuse" for terminating the contract wasn't good enough. Hmmmm! read more

I bought a house in 2013 and had some issues, and called for the warranty and felt like that the things were just bandaged to get to the end of the warranty date, I even wrote a letter to upper Managment and still nothing was done. So now I am out of warranty and the things are broken that they bandaged and now I am out of warranty. I would not buy another house from them. read more

My husband and I purchased with Beazer. The whole experience was awesome!!! We were nervous and unsure, but Jason walked us through and was amazing. The purchase process was smooth, no issues with anything. Closing was great!! We had so much fun taking pics and being goofy teens. We were all smiles. They told us if we noticed any imperfections after moving in, give them a ring and they will have everything corrected. we did notice a few things after moving in and we called our contractor Craig, he came out right away and got the appropriate company on whatever the issue was. Everything has been awesome and we have no complaints as of yet. We are so thankful for our beautiful home!!!! read more

We just bought our first home with Beazer and we must say we are totally happy with our decision. We happened to stop by Churchill Farms one day not serious about buying a new home since we had just bought a brand new Plantation home less than 2 years ago. We met Ken Barrios of Beazer Homes who showed us the Beazer floor plans and took us to see a few still empty lots and a house that was being built. We fell in love with the floor plan and the lake view. Exactly 2 months from the day we made an offer for this house, on 1/19/14, we closed on this house today. Ken Barrios has delivered everything Beazer has promised us on the house. He's always professional, courteous, and reassuring. We would recommend a Beazer-built home to anyone gladly. read more
