After that someone else called me she made me feel uncomfortable weirded out because she was so pushy . Nothing Brandon told us was accurate and I doubt if we were was uninformed as he thought we were if we would have closed the house within the week as he stated. We actually sold the house within 6 days on the market for full asking price. Not the free fall value that Brandon claimed was happening and the ridiculous price he offered. Also, while in the house, he should have asked before starting to take pictures. The minor issues that he did take pictures of would have cost less than $1k to fix, not the 80k he said it would cost them. Do your homework. This investor/flipping company may be great for some people, but for the average person, I don't believe so. I received a call from someone from this company tonight, from an Oklahoma phone number, I left a message for them. I asked them not to call again. Further, the call tonight shows me how little research these people do, had they looked up the address of the house online, they would have seen that the house was sold and the selling price. read more

Very disappointed with Big State Home Buyers. They came out and made me a decent offer, which I accepted. After they sent the contract for me to sign, I asked several questions regarding mistakes in the contract. Instead of correcting them, they ended up rescinding their offer. What a waste of time. I guess they are not used to having customers thoroughly read through the entire contract to look for mistakes. I'd suggest contacting another company if you want to sell your house "as is" for cash. read more

Be aware that in spite of what their website says, you may NOT be selling to Big State. I made a deal to sell to them, then they assigned the sale to someone else to be the buyer. She had major communication issues, was not reliable and caused delays in getting me my money. Big State made a mistake with paperwork which delayed payments due to me. They could have admitted to this error faster. They did not so my money was delayed until I forced the issue. This all ended OK, but I should not have had to work so hard to get what was owed to me. Beware of the promises to close quickly (they forced a push back of my desired date) and painlessly. They have no control over the people they assign the purchase to. I don't think I would use them again. read more

I reached out to them to inquiry about selling my house. I talk to Eveyln and gave her all the info. she requested told me a that Corey would help me he was responsible for my area. I told her what time I be available and he would call. I rushed home to wait his call nothing. The next day at 9 when they open guess what he called. I talk to him he telling me he is a staright shooter blah blah and don't want to waste my time. Then he told me what he could do for me. Later that day I text to inquiry guess what they couldn't help me cause they couldn't make a boat load of money and screw me in the process. Then he says he can recommend a relator for me and I bet they work here also. Don't listen to theses guys all they want is money. read more

Let me start this review by stating I am NOT an easy person to please - I tend to be very distrustful of sales people in general and I was very skeptical about joining into a deal with a real-estate investor. Having said that - I am very pleased to say that Big State Home Buyer is an OUTSTANDING company to work with! I had the pleasure of working with Hunter Hill and he held my hand through the entire process! My 74 yo mother was ready to sell her home after 41 years. I had 4 investor companies come to the house and all four made an offer. We chose Big State because of their professional demeanor and the fact that they significantly outbid the other companies. From that point on it was a relatively painless process - much smoother and easier than I ever imagined. When it came time to sign the actual contract, Brian Spitz, (owner), took the time to explain every section of the contract to me by phone. Throughout this entire process Hunter understood my skepticism and also that this was an emotional journey for my mother. Even through my skepticism and at times my less than professional demeanor - Hunter persevered and went out of his way to answer all my questions and make this process as smooth as possible. All title problems were cleaned up and the out-of-state Seller paid back property taxes of $13,000 and an HOA lien.
