Unfortunately upon contacting the company I learned that George, who initially had helped us in a prior electrical emergency, is no longer with us. His son Kris was just as personable and easy to work with. He was the only electrician that replied over a long new years holiday. He's an older southern gentleman but he knows his stuff and was able to get the job done the next day when I called with what I thought was a panel problem with a tripped switch for a circuit breaker. It turned out to be a wiring issue in an electric outlet that was a smoldering problem waiting to happen. He was able to give me some helpful advice should which I will keep in mind. Alex came and reinstalled a ceiling fan for me. The very sleek fan I ordered wobbles when it was first installed. Lumens (wonderful customer service) sent me a new replacement. Alex was very polite, pleasant and professional. He clearly knows what he is doing. He tested the new fan a few times and after, proceeded to clean up those plastic bags and papers. He even disassembled the defective fan, packed them nicely back in the original box. My replacement fan doesn't wobble any more. I am glad I have Alex here to get the replacement fan installed. I was moving into a new home and needed to inspect behind the breaker box to make sure all of the wiring was up to code and secure. So the garbage disposal switch decided to work intermittently. (Not unlike me after I got a 0% raise due to the crap economy.) We'd have to hold the switch while we wanted the disposal to run, which was suboptimal, but easy enough. But when it stopped working completely (unless you pulled the switch up and out with pliers), it was time to get a professional in. Some said I could attempt this, but I have a rule about messing about with things that have wires, lest I blow someone or something up. Upon the recommendation of a fellow Yelper, I'd tried Scott Spinner, but he had a problem with his van en route, so he gave me the name and number of George Beazley, who turned out to be his former boss. George Beazley returned my call immediately, asked what color and kind of switch I had, and was at my place within two hours. On a Sunday. (Ok, he said it was a laid back kind of day, but still. I don't work Sundays, even during tax season, so I was impressed.) George put in a new switch in only a few minutes, which I attribute to the power of expertise and experience. He wiped up the dust from the plaster and paint that came off the wall in changing the switch, and I like that kind of touch. As a special bonus, George was kind enough to give me a discount off the normal $120 service call fee. (I totally get that a professional's time and expertise are worth $$$, so I didn't quibble.) Woke up on a Saturday morning to no electricity in part of my house. I flipped all the breakers and that didn't solve the problem so I called my electrician who was out of town. I got on Yelp and found Beazley Electric. I called; George answered and we discussed the problem. He said he could be at my house in 30 minutes but to call Georgia Power in the meantime as it could be something on their end. George arrived and ran tests on my breaker box, etc. and everything checked out okay so needed to wait on Georgia Power to assess. George waited with me for Georgia Power to arrive which took 3 hrs. I told him he didn't have to wait with me but he did - even taking calls from potential customers and telling them he couldn't get to them today because he was waiting with me. He charged me his hourly rate for one hour. I gave him a bit more as I was so appreciative of his responsiveness and time. read more

After purchasing our first home, my husband and I wanted to address several of the more pressing safety issues identified in the home inspection report. Kris and his assistant spent a good six hours replacing and updating everything I requested. He also provided a quote for further safety and aesthetic work down the road. I found George through yelp and I'm so glad I did. After talking briefly on the phone, George stopped by late one night to give estimates on hanging a chandelier, installing a bathroom fan, and installing recessed lighting. He definitely is a good ol boy, blue collar, honest man. During the estimate George actually convinced me NOT to install a few recessed lights. His words were, "If it were my home, I don't think I'd put them there. I mean it's less work and money for me, but I think your condo will look better this way." He was on time, brought his son and another coworker, and completed all the work within an hour. To top it off - he actually charged me LESS then his estimate for the work. I would 100% recommend George to anyone. The only knock on George is that he is not the best at answering email or text's (even though he asked that I contact him that way). I have had a problem with my electrical outlet in a breakfast nook. More and more outlets were not working. I called other electricians who just couldn't find the problem. after having no electricity in that area for the past 8 months I decided to look on Yelp and see who got the best ratings. sometimes I'm very leery that perhaps friends right through a few for the merchant. I called George at Beasley electric and took my chances. He had excellent reviews. He is truly amazing. He knows electric circuits and knew immediately what the problem was, we had a burnt out wire in the circuit breakers. No other electrician had found this problem because the circuit breaker didn't indicate that there was a problem. We have used George for both residential and business on multiple occasions. He is far and away the most professional and responsive electrician I have ever met. Once I called him to fix what I thought was a major problem that our breaker box was so hot it was almost not possible to touch it. Turned out to be nothing once he pulled out the breaker box, he did not even charge us. We will never use anyone else. There is a funny note anecdote. George is not the most technologically up to date person. If you ever need an electrician in the Atlanta area, George Beazley and his son Chris of Beazley Electric are your guys. Returned from out of town to a frozen toilet, broken security system, no internet, major electrical problems, a furnace that went out both Monday and Tuesday on the coldest nights we've ever seen here in GA, and a visit by the fire department for an electrical fire! Which, I should point out, they did not detect although the transformer in our security system had burned up. I smelt the most acrid fumes, which I knew were electrical, but THREE firemen walked all around my house and insisted they didn't smell anything! George Beazley offered to come out ASAP even though it was the end of the day, but because the fire dept made me think I was crazy I declined his offer. Finally found the culprit in the hall closet the next morning. Beazley Electric was supposed to come out later in the week to fix the corroding ground wire but it turned out to be more of an emergency situation than we initially thought. They moved their schedule around, were out here in an hour with 3 guys, spent 6 hours re-wiring and adding outlets to the attic and flood lights out back. They're the nicest guys, reasonably priced and local. I will be using them for any future electrical needs. Call Beazley Electric! read more

He tried to fix my problem for free over the phone, but when I still had issues he came out to my house and fixed the issue in about 15 minutes. He put up with my noisy barking bog and even tried to make friends with her. He only charged me $75.00 which was a lot less than two other contractors had quoted me. We needed 2 new fans put in on our 75 year old home, did not have electricity in a porch and an attic closet, and wanted floodlights (with motion sensors) installed outside. George calmly surveyed everything that needed to be done, gave a quote upfront, and answered all of my pesky questions patiently (and with good humor) when he was working. Best of all, in spite of choosing optimal components for our home, he came in under the original estimate. The whole experience was so amazing, that I wanted to give George 6 stars.
