Fun, loud, great food. The catfish is very good, very hot BUT, it is not USDA Farm raised in Mississippi. It is Chinese catfish. There is a huge difference it taste and price. I'm going again tonight to try the fried shrimp. Hopefully it will be USA Gulf shrimp, not the chinese, farm raised shrimp which has NO flavor compared to true Gulf shrimp. Stay tuned. Our first visit to Bebo's in Pilot Point felt less like lunch and more like a dirty scavenger hunt. The restaurant is packed with memorabilia, dollar bills taped everywhere, Elvis collectibles, old telephones, vintage car photos, a Christmas tree, and enough random décor to keep your eyes busy while waiting for your food. What may be intended as vintage charm felt more like an episode of flea market finds covered in years of dust. The menus. Everyone at our table received a different version, complete with conflicting prices, different hours, and spelling errors, including "SHRIP." Maybe they spin a wheel in the back to determine the price you pay? We asked for recommendations, everything is equal was the response. Service was nonexistent after she dropped the food on the table, drink refills were missed, and she asked twice if we wanted onions on the dish or on the side, we replied on the dish but they arrived on the side. The food tasted like bagged, frozen foods introduced to fryer oil that had already lived a full life. If you're looking for greasy, fried comfort food, you may enjoy it. If you're looking for fresh ingredients and quality home cooking, you may want to choose any other restaurant. The most memorable part of the experience came at checkout. The payment screen offered a 20%, 25%, or 30% tips option, with 25% already pre selected which could not be changed by the customer. The custom tip option was reportedly broken, as was the no tip option. When I explained I couldn't change it, she asked, "What do you want to change it to, no tip?" Nothing says hospitality quite like turning gratuity into a hostage negotiation. ‍ Finally, I visited the ladies' room before leaving. It is in desperate need of a deep cleaning, sticky grease laden doors, sticky soap dispenser, and no toilet paper in my stall, thank goodness I brought a friend that could bring TP from her stall. Between the confusing menus, inattentive service, lack of cleanliness, forgettable food, and the expectation of a 25% tip for pathetic service, even McDonald's is a better choice. read more

I want to give a fair observation before my review. This place is proud of having the current administration with flags hanging inside this place so I want to make sure you all know that. I ordered the catfish and because I feel like catfish can tell a lot about how the restaurant cooks their food overall. I gave this fish 10 out of 10. It was perfectly seasoned and it took me a little while to eat it because it remained so hot which is always a plus when it comes to catfish or any fried fish for that matter. I've been to Bebo's several times. Great food, great burgers, decor and service. I went last night and the waiter suggested as the top two favorites the Senior Saver (catfish) or the Chicken Fried Steak (CFS). I ordered the CFS and my brother ordered the Senior saver hoping to share. Well, that was my first mistake (trusting the waiter or trusting my brother to share?). When the food arrived my CFS was about half the size as what the waiter said but he assured me it would be thick. It was. Well the CFS arrived bathed in a creamy gravy with the sides I ordered. The presentation was a 10/10. The first bite was just about as bland as bland can be. No flavor. But the gravy was exceptional. Exceptionally mediocre. It tasted like hot flour and milk with some kind of thickening agent and was even more bland than the CFS. At least it was consistent. I explained to the waiter that "I was not a fan of the CFS "and why- it tasted bland. The waiter, being service oriented and good told the cook who promptly visited our table apologizing for the quality of the food. Believe it or not, he explained that he forgot to season the meat before frying it and thank you very much. I said that was OK. I found out this morning from our host that he was charged the full amount for the unsatisfactory food. So I called the manager and relayed this to her who thanked me and told me she would "discuss this with her team". No comp for one poor meal. No offer to recook the meal. No return visits to Bebos in the near future. The place has a unique and eclectic ambiance. The burgers are great, but my experience was embarrassingly poor. I expect the food to be great, as was the Senior dish. I expected the management to be attentive. As a paying patron I would have expected the manager to say "come back in and let us make this right!" Nah. My coworker suggested that this would be some of the best catfish I ever had, and there are no lies detected. We came in and didn't even need menus, our waitress suggested two kids platters of catfish and they were bigger than most adult portions you would normally get. The catfish was perfect, cornmeal battered, cooked through, but not tough at all. The hushpuppies may have been the star, with a bit of honey sweetness in the batter. I normally don't like coleslaw, but theirs was tasty, and the fries balanced everything out. And a great atmosphere, lots of hungry locals and local workers coming in, it was surprisingly quiet inside because everyone was just tucked into their food, which comes out very quickly. Well I would like to leave a review of our food but after waiting 45 minutes for our burgers, we left. We got there about 10:45 and was asked by the waitress who obviously didn't want to be there if we were having lunch or breakfast. Well, we didn't have a menu yet so I don't know. She says well, "we aren't serving lunch yet" even though the sign says breakfast is only served until 10:45 so I got a menu and started looking at breakfast. The other waitress came out to another table and said they were serving lunch. Ok, I change my menu to the lunch side. The husband and I both ordered a blue cheese burger. When you walk through the door it's an eye popping experience to look at all the decorations on the wall. The down home welcoming feeling and museum like atmosphere shows that we don't have to dine at the corporate controlled cold-light-blinding environments. We really enjoyed this place. So cluttered and so many fun things to look at while you wait. We were a large group so it took awhile. I had chicken strips and mashed potatoes. I'd give it 0 stars if I could. It is overpriced and bland. It's shocking how u could mess up a bacon cheeseburger with other fried foods on it but they pulled it off at Bebo's. The onion rings were just flat gross n obviously right out of a frozen bag. The catfish was decent. The waiter had a personality but when we asked him about onions on the burger he seemed annoyed. He reminded us the burgers had specific descriptions of what came on them. I've tried this place with my family for breakfast too. It is just blah at best. Kitchen Manager doesn't know how to manage order intake. Before our table's order was completely prepared, another table's order was started leaving some at our table without food. Additionally, the restaurant appeared understaffed for a busy Sunday morning. Very few wait staff seemed to be focused on serving guests needs with a sense of urgency. We ate here for the 1st time today. We ordered 2 omelet breakfast platters. I got the Spanish omelette and my honey had the Western Omelet Platter. Woweee! The breakfast was huge and delicious. Ordered the onion rings because I wanted a treat. Really disappointed in the way overcooked, extremely crispy dark brown rings that arrived. Let most on the plate. Hubbys rings were as bad as mine. He had the chicken fried steak sandwich which he said was "ok". I totally forgot to take a picture of the lackluster meal. Exterior yard art is interesting as well. This place is crazy eclectic with the best down home cooking you can find. To start out with; there is the crashed airplane on the side of the parking lot and the the Elvis Cadillac and the old dragsters on the roof! Then the inside is a wonderful collection of old, crazy, cool, and wild machines, cars, paint, and motifs. The food is delicious. Fast service with a smile and quick to take orders. We had fried dill pickle slices and fried green tomatoes for appetizers. Steaming hot and plenty of them. House specialties include big old wonderful Bebo Burgers to fit every taste and appetite. I had a Bacon and blue cheeseburger with real bleu cheese dressing and thick bacon slices on a big fresh grilled 1/2 pound burger. Another house specialty is fried Catfish which was popular at lots of other tables including ours. The senior special is five large pieces of deep fried fresh Catfish with bountiful fries, tots, or homemade onion rings. A small bowl of pintos and bacon and a small bowl of homemade coleslaw. They also throw in a couple of homemade hush puppies to top it all off. This is more than most folks can eat but larger portions are available on the menu. Another surprise was the 8 extra large tempura battered shrimp that came on an order and included all the sides too! We all got plenty and got a chance to thank the Boss Lady herself Miss Kathy. She say s the chicken fries are also out if this world and another house favorite. Live music on Friday nights. But no Cold beer! This place allows you to bring in your own whether it be your favorite Cild beverage or a bottle of your choosing and order the mixer from the bar. Crazy rule but seems to suit the customers just fine! I would highly recommend this fine establishment for its food, its atmosphere, and its service. Some of the best food around been a loyal customer for years several times a week. Unfortunately, the service & ordering experience for the past couple months has been an absolute nightmare. My last 3 trips here has been ordering over the phone for pick up and each time the orders has been wrong, I was overcharged each time and all the orders were incorrect. The food was ok. I like liver and onions and have eaten it in many restaurants. The liver was a nice size and tender. It was a bit well done around the edges but tasty. The onions were thickly sliced and undercooked. The gravy was odd; maybe it was from a mix. The mashed potatoes were good and the slaw was tasty. When I went to the ladies room and saw the Trump banner, I wanted to throw up. The waitress was efficient but not friendly. I won't be eating there again. read more

Stopped by here on our way home from fishing. Burger patties are a good size and the onion rings were yummy. One of us has pretty strict diet restrictions and they were also accommodating to that. Will definitely be stopping by here again next time we come through. read more

Not sure why this says Kathy's country kitchen because it's called Bebo's! The service is why I give it four stars. Very friendly knowledgeable staff. He spent a lot of time with us telling us about all the memorabilia, which is another reason I love this place. Lots of Elvis and other types of memorabilia. There was live music when we were there and that was a lot of fun. I had a burger that had onions, peppers and 1000 island and it was really good, flavorful and juicy. The fried green tomatoes had no flavor and that was a bummer, but the ranch was really good and I'm picky about ranch because most people can't do it well. Their fried pickles were really good and I'm not usually a fan of fried pickles so that says a lot! My son-in-law got a huge burger that had a grilled cheese sandwich on either side of it! Onion rings were good and Fry's were meh. The fries kind of tasted like they were frozen. Though the pie tasted from scratch. All in all I wouldn't say the food is the greatest, but it wasn't bad either. Everything else makes up for the food. I've never had fried catfish and I've never wanted to try it until I saw their famous fried catfish plates that everybody orders so I will let you know how that turns out and it looks like a great place to go for breakfast !
