So for what I was going to spend on a dozen cookies, I was able to get 3 times as much to send to me son for him & his co-workers. They delivered to his office & knowing I was in Ca she took a picture of my son receiving his baked goods & sent it to me! I called in an order around 5:45 and had fresh cupcakes and still warm from the oven cookies at my door by 8pm. Needless to say it made his day and I was more than impressed with everything. We ordered a sampler pack and had her pick out a variety for us. We ended up with some cinnamon things (yum!), apple supremes (husband's favorite so far), and several types of cupcakes as well as some warm chocolate chip cookies. My favorite is the chocolate cupcake. I've had cupcakes from some of the best bakeries and this one is right up there with them. It's moist, it's light, it's rich but not cloying, it's super chocolatey and it's just the right amount to satisfy that chocolate craving. I'll have to add more to my next order because my son claimed one and then wanted a bite of mine too! We still have a few more things to try but I expect they will all be just as good. We brought it up, and the staff apologized and made us an additional 12 ounce each to make up for the mistake. We were super pleased with their customer service, and even more so that we ended up with full tummies of 24 ounces of dessert! We had the Affogato and Twix, and the Affogato was our favorite. It's coffee, chocolate, and vanilla with brownie bits. We also loved that the staff came over to our table to check on us and chatted, which was sweet and personable. The ambience was quiet and clean inside too. Vampire Penguin is our absolute favorite, and they made our Mother's Day eating adventure very special.

The cake was good and had everything I could ever want in it, but it was a little dry. I think this also had to do with it being the end of the night. The ice cream complemented the flavor well.
