Had all 4 of my wisdom teeth extracted there, gotta admit it, it was more fun than painful.

We moved to TN from NY at the beginning of Covid and had not seen a dentist for several years now. Glasscock Dentistry on Nolensville Road is fantastic! They have a great location with front door parking. The office is welcoming and super clean! Every single staff member treated us like we had been coming there for years. Amy, our hygenist, was gentle and kind. She kept us informed each step of the way and my kids loved her. One of my kids has special needs so I worry a little more about her. Dr. Glasscock made her so comfortable and treated her with such compassion. My daughter isn't afraid to go back and that makes a big difference. A couple of my kids needed a referral and appointment with a surgeon to have wisdom teeth extracted. The wonderful young woman at the front desk made all of the calls for us and set everything up so all we had to do was show up. She went above and beyond to help us out and get us where we needed to be. If you are looking for a dentist, I suggest you make an appointment with Glasscock Dental and for goodness sakes, don't forget to floss!

I took oral sedation and woke up at home with just a few stitches -- smooth and stress-free recovery. It's been about six weeks, and the results look completely natural. Dr. Temlock and his team are professional, kind, and truly know what they're doing -- hands down the best periodontal clinic in Nashville!

There are not enough stars in the world to describe Dr. Temlock and Nashville Periodontal Group! I…read morewent to go see Dr. Temlock at Nashville Periodontal Group in his Nashville, TN office (they have a Brentwood, TN location too) after I went to another local periodontist that my general dentist referred me to. The experience with the other Periodontist felt rushed, uninspiring, and it felt like they just wanted my money and required a deposit to schedule my surgery after 15 minutes with the staff and maybe 5 minutes with the doctor. So, I wanted a second opinion, and I am so happy I did! First, I want to talk about Dr. Temlock. He spent an entire hour with me at my initial consultation, and he really took the time to explain everything to me in terms that I could understand. I've never seen a doctor or dentist spend that much time with me! His chair-side manner was a 10/10, and I felt totally educated about my periodontal issue. He was there to answer all my questions, and he helped guide me through the anticipated surgery so I could make the right decision for MYSELF! He was so kind, patient, and genuine. This was almost the exact opposite of what occurred at the first periodontist's office. Second, his staff was super nice, and they helped me out every step of the way regarding the logistics. They need to be mentioned here too because they were so awesome too! I was very anxious about my surgery, but Dr. Temlock's knowledge, skills, confidence, and experience really put me at ease. I chose to be sedated for my procedure (and this was the best money I ever spent throughout the whole situation!), and I do not remember anything! I needed a really bad/cracked tooth removed, a sinus lift, and bone graft so I could get a dental implant. Sounds scary, right!?! Not with Dr. Temlock and Nashville Periodontal Group's staff! Everything went just as he explained it at the consult. He even called me the next day to ask how I was doing and answer my questions. I've couldn't believe the doctor actually called me instead of the nurse! Dr. Temlock really does care about his patients, and he even gave me his phone number in case I had any more questions over the weekend. Lastly, I returned to the office for my follow-up appointment about 3 weeks after the surgery, and Dr. Temlock saw me, took time to personally evaluate the surgical area, and answered all my questions again. I thought I was only going to see the assistant/nurse from Nashville Periodontal Group that day, but Dr. Temlock was the one who entered the room. I couldn't believe it! Dr. Temlock reassured me that I was healing great and right on schedule, and Dr. Temlock explained that everything was on course which helped calm down my anxiety too. Overall, I cannot thank Dr. Temlock and the staff at Nashville Periodontal Group enough! Everyone is so professional and understanding. From the first time I met Dr. Temlock through the last goodbye, I cannot thank him enough. Now that everything major is complete, I am going to get my teeth cleaned with Dr. Temlock's hygienists and alternate between my dentist's office and Nashville Periodontal Group. The whole team at Nashville Periodontal Group are going to make sure they keep a close eye on all my teeth and gums into the future, so I know I am in good hands as Dr. Temlock and all the staff at Nashville Periodontal Group will continue to monitor the rest of my teeth and gums to hopefully minimize and prevent any serious issues in the future. After my experience with Dr. Temlock and Nashville Periodontal Group, I now know that my voice counts and my concerns will be addressed with professionalism, respect, empathy, and truly individualized to my specific needs. I cannot say thank you enough to Dr. Temlock and the staff at Nashville Periodontal Group, and my only advice is that anyone out there needing Periodontal or Dental Implant Surgery visit Dr. Temlock before making any decisions. I guarantee you will be astonished about how different the patient experience can be when compared to other providers!

Despite the name, if you find yourself in Nashville with a dental emergency, this is the last place…read moreyou should go to. This place is one star wonder. She is a modern day revamp of Payless except this is a pay more and expect significantly less. As someone who has loathed every single dentist I've ever been to for good reason, this place reaffirmed fundamental belief that sometimes you really should just trust your gut. I came in here in an absolute guttural pain after waiting far too long to seek treatment. Ultimately, I had developed an abscess and needed a root canal and crown, something I have had plenty a time in my life and was very familiar with. It was incredibly painful from start to finish. This is by far the most I have ever cried at a dentist in my life and I am grown. At the time, I credited the tears to the abscess and how bad it was but looking back, this could have been due to the lack of professionalism and training at this facility or some combination of both because it really does seem like amateur hour here. When I left, things seemed to be on the mend. I came back for my permanent and was shocked when I was told I owed them more money because this was not clearly outlined in my first appointment. The way it was presented was that I was paying for everything that day and I would come back, they would place the permanent on and that would be that. The red flags might as well have been billboards but when you are in crippling pain, it's very hard to see straight. I went about my business until 9 months later when the permanent crown fell out completely in tact. Never in my life has this happened. I called them to figure out what we should do next and they suggested I come in. The receptionist was extremely kind until I asked about price which is when she became extremely hostile. I was told I would have to pay a new patient exam which was confusing considering I was not a new patient. After some back and forth resulting in her forcefully canceling my appointment and hanging up on me, quite the professional she is, I was forced to seek care elsewhere. At a new dentist, I learned not only was the abscess still present but as suspected, the root canal and crown was not performed properly and in her words, the crown dislodging in under a year was certainly not normal. I then had to pay again for work I had already paid premium emergency prices for. At this point, I now needed a bone graft, a much more extensive and lengthy procedure. I requested my records be sent over to both myself and my new dentist and several months later, I've yet to receive them and neither has my dentist. This is a HIPPA violation if you were curious. This place is a joke. They will not take care of you, fail to do the work correctly, charge you an absolute premium and keep your personal medical information. So if that is what you're looking for, by all means, head right on in!

Our son went to see our dentist, Dr. Hunter (5 Star) for a teeth cleaning, and since he is 17 years old did a panoramic X-ray to check on his wisdom teeth. Yes, they need to come out. He referred us to two oral surgeons and for comfort we made an appointment with a third. First up, the referred Dr. West. Making an appointment was easy and timely. Now we know his wisdom teeth need to come out and have done and paid for the X-rays. Just want to get an estimate and meet the Doctor who will be taking out our sons wisdom teeth. Since this does require sedation, which is always a little scary, especially when being done for the first time and no one is sure how the child will respond, we want to feel confident in the oral surgeon doing the job. The day of the appointment arrives, we go to the office and sign the customary paperwork. No one has yet to mention that there would be a Consult fee to get the estimate. It is not identified in the Financial policy we signed. The X-ray paid for and sent via email to Dr. West is unavailable because their system is down that day. They decide they need to do another Panoramic X-ray because of this and charge us $106. Since, it is their fault, they make a huge production on how we should be so thankful for this and they will not charge us the extra fee for having the X-ray done AGAIN. A FREE DOSE OF EXTRA RADIATION for our son is what we are supposed to be thankful for. :( Oh, guess what, he needs his wisdom teeth removed. Fine, we are getting ready to leave, and the receptionist, says that will be a New Patient Exam and Panoramic X-Ray fee of $168. Now, we have to explain, we already paid for the X-ray with the dentist, which he emailed over, and your system being down could not retrieve. New Patient Exam fee of $62? Where was that written and disclosed? Blah, Blah, Blah, she precedes to argue with us. Being nickeled and dimed for a procedure that will cost quite a bit is never comfortable. Of course, the $62 means the world to the receptionist and the office. In trying to understand how we missed this, Jamie and Katie are very rude with my husband and I in trying to understand their billing practices. Apparently, this happens quite often. Needless to say, we went with another oral surgeon, Dr. Edmond Reed, also referred by Dr. Hunter, and he does not charge a consult or other fees $0 and has great reviews. Also, the third oral surgeon we went to did not charge any fees $0. If a professional charges consult fees, they need to clearly identify them up front when the appointment is being made. Not at the end or in a mailed billing statement.
