We purchased a leather couch, loveseat, and recliner from Furniture Mart, along with the extended warranty the salesperson recommended. The floor model looked perfect, and we were told our brand-new pieces would come directly from their warehouse. Delivery was on time, but when the furniture arrived we immediately noticed problems. The couch and loveseat had clear vertical stress marks where the leather was loose and wrinkled, and one piece had a crushed power box cord. The delivery driver bent the metal back into place, but the power box itself remained cracked. I called the same day and asked that the damaged pieces be picked up and replaced with new ones since we purchased brand-new furniture. Instead of replacing them, the store said the extended warranty would handle the issue and sent out a technician. The technician arrived with a large trash bag of pillows, cut one open, and began stuffing my brand-new furniture with pillow filling in an attempt to tighten the leather. The stress marks were still visible when he finished. When I pointed this out, he said that was the best they could do and that the marks "should go away." He did replace the power box. They did not go away. When I contacted Furniture Mart again, I was told there was nothing more they could do. We purchased new furniture and an extended warranty expecting quality and support if there was a problem. Instead, we received damaged pieces and a "repair" that involved stuffing pillow fill into brand-new furniture. Well it's time to buy a split king adjustable bed frame and mattress. Not sure where we will purchase it but it will not be at Furniture Mart or their affiliates. I am happy to update this review if Furniture Mart takes ownership and resolves the issue. read more

We stopped in based on the sales and were told that Becker is being bought out so they need to clear the sales floor. There were still a lot of nice items at good prices to view. The salesman was friendly and left us be to shop. We didn't make a purchase as they didn't have quite what we were looking for but it's worth stopping in for the sales! We have purchased many things from Becker. Multiple beds, couches, chairs and have absolutely loved everything until.... The new custom rocking/swivel chair we purchased. We love the fabric, but the chair itself is not great. We have barely used it and when we rock or move at all in it the wood cracks and it keeps making loud popping sounds as if the metal is hitting itself. We have had this chair less than 3 months. It is unfortunate that our 1st experience purchasing from Becker/this location was not the same experience. Upon my visit, Sales Debra listened and showed me what I was looking for. When asked, she stated desk chair would be assembled upon pickup. When I returned to purchase the desk chair, I even asked for her. She even sought to obtain confirmation of pickup date. After returning from vacation, I picked up our desk chair shrink wrapped and unassembled. I knew I should have walked directly back into the store immediately as I just could not believe it but I was tired from my plane ride. 2 weeks later as I attempted to assemble, removed shrink wrap to find no instructions. After discovering several sizes of screws, I attempted to call, phone # listed on invoice statement was disconnected. Googled number and no one answered the phone, leaving me with only option to go into store. So I ran my errands and stopped at the store.... Debra was not working and spoke to Manager Staci, resulting in my conveying my lack of satisfaction with what was communicated and what was reality. I shared I could have purchased from Amazon with knowledge of assembling self or even HOM furniture who has assembled purchases upon pickup. She acknowledged that if communication is provided then assembly would have taken place. Staci asked whether I wanted them to walk me through assembly, then offered return so they can assemble. I was initially taken back by her initial offering until she clarified and asked what I wanted. Yup I dropped off the groceries, loaded up the parts and headed back to Becker, waited for assembly. A follow up to my last review.... Worst customer service ever. Order delayed several months and they keep blaming COVID. Whenever we needed an update we had to reach out to get one. Our salesperson offers us white-glove service to bring up the couch into my home when the couch comes in. The couch arrives, there is only one delivery driver who says no white-glove service is mentioned on his delivery order. After telling him our situation he offers to carry it up to our living room with my wife's help (I just had surgery and can't do it). We had to set it up ourselves. I called the manager of the store we bought from and she specifically remembers my order and greenlighting the white glove service, she states that the salesperson Gary apparently did not update our order. She offered a $100 credit which definitely is short of sufficient. read more

I used to buy all my furniture from Becker the the last 20 years. Never again. The dining room table began flaking just after one year even after minimal use. The customer leather couch lost it's firmness almost immediately. I requested help from Becker and was told that the furniture is only warranted for 1 year but the could refer me to someone who I could pay to fix. It's been less than two years and spent near $15K to furnish the whole house. For Becker not to invest in what they sell is a disappointment. Buy from Macy's or Schniedermans - they have always understood the needs of their customers and followed through on what is needed to keep them. Buy from someone you can trust. read more

Before explaining why, I highly recommend others shop for furniture elsewhere. Becker is not only overpriced (because they are paying for their brick and mortar locations) but their customer service is poor. In January of 2021, I went to the Maple Grove location to order a new sectional and two accent chairs. The design lady, Sandra Moen, took my house floor plans and determined the "appropriate sized" sectional. I repeatedly told her that I believed the sectional was too small for the space, but she assured me it wasn't. She said she has 20+ years of experience and it would be just right. In March, the accent chairs arrived, damaged. I brought this to Sandra's attention, she said she would re-order. 2 months later, we were told we would not get the new chairs until July 2021 (6 months after ordering them). July came and I received a call from Sandra indicating I would not be getting replacement chairs until the end of November (11 months after they were ordered). In the alternative, I was offered a paltry 10% discount for the defective chairs. In April, our the sectional arrived and it was WAY too small. When I brought this to Sandra's attention, she put the blame on me, insisting that she was correct (the sectional was ridiculously sized for the space). Part of what was frustrating was how difficult it was from a customer service perspective. In sum, Becker made a mistake, then, rather than owning it, blamed it me and made it my problem. After talking to her "manager" and a bunch of hoopla, Becker reluctantly agreed to let us re-order the bigger sectional. I was told the sectional would be delivered mid-August (now 8 months after our original order). When I called them on August 9, 2021, for an update, I was told we would not be getting our sectional until the end of October (nearly 11 months after our original order was placed). I asked if I could just cancel my order and was told "no" because it's a custom order. I understand Becker does not control the supply chain. However, Becker controls their customer service, return policies, and whether they blame the customer for their mistake. With so many online furniture retailer's out there, I highly recommend taking your business to a company that values their customers. I ordered furniture 8 months ago and still am without it, and Becker continues to say "that's not something we control". This is not the kind of company I would like to do business with. We bought a dresser at Becker furniture world a handful of years ago. It was my favorite piece of furniture in our home! I still love it, except for one little problem . . . the top surface is wearing off in spots!!!! We run our central air in the summer so not sure why this happened, but I had a pair of those hospital socks with the little sticky circles on the bottom, and it's almost as if these, lying on the dresser, took the finish off in the shape of circles. Then another spot that keeps getting bigger and bigger. So, the dresser I USED to love now has to be covered because of the embarrassing surface. THEN a few years ago we bought a fairly large sectional. It is tearing in one part where the back cushion meets the back of the couch! My gosh, it's just my husband and me - this should definitely not happen for years, if at all. It's like it was not sewn well to begin with. One of the end tables we got with this sectional wobbles on the floor - legs are uneven. So unhappy with these three pieces, all purchased from Becker Furniture World. I'll start the review by saying I received great service at the store. The salesperson was friendly and helpful. About a month after I purchased a rocker recliner the spring broke in the base mechanism. I called the store and they provided me with the repair number. When I called the repair center they transferred me to another number. I was told a repair person would contact me to schedule an appointment to get the chair repaired. About a week later I received a call and scheduled a day to have it repaired. I took the day off of work and when he arrived he looked at the chair and said it was broken and he needed to order a part. It is now one month later and the part has arrived. I called to schedule the repair appointment and went through the phone process again. I left a message and they called back saying the repair person would call back 24 to 48 hours later. It's been four days. We are now looking to purchase a new loveseat, but, unfortunately, Becker will be far down the list of places to buy one. read more

I ordered a few different items from this store in March. I completely understood the delivery delays with covid, not a big deal. When I finally got my furniture in June I got a call that my chair didn't have the right legs. I had to submit a claim. I did immediately. No one ever contacted me. I called the claim company multiple times to follow up since I didn't want o be stuck with the chair as is- it looks bad. Eventually someone from the claim company told me that it was my responsibility to just keep following up and eventually they might get to it but that they were busy with orders and my item wasn't a priority. I contacted the store and immediately had a great interaction with the store manager.he told me I could expect my new chair legs in mid-September. I have followed up since and haven't heard back. This process has been such a hassle, it's not worth the headache. I wouldn't shop here again. I also ended up cancelling part of my order when a rug I ordered was delayed multiple times, the last being for another 3 months. Thankfully after a little back and forth, they were willing to refund me that portion of the purchase. Since I purchased the care plan through montage services (handling any claims), I'm regretting it. They are a huge pain. Great furniture, friendly staff, terrible customer service and organizational network. To start with the purchase process was very convoluted dealing with the furniture manufacturer and Becker sales. Once that was ironed out my purchase arrived on time and was delivered to my home. The "white glove" delivery was less than I expected with several staples and packing material left attached to the furniture. The furniture arrived damaged and after several attempts to get this repaired or corrected, I've given up. They never follow up or reply to my emails. I've had a similar experience with another furniture company, and within about a week after the purchase there was a service tech at my home and he fixed the problem within an hour. As mentioned in other reviews, sales staff seems friendly and product quality seems worth the money. However when we purchased our sofa in August we were told our estimated delivery was mid September. I never received a call in September to set up delivery so I called them. They said our delivery has been pushed back to mid November. Now I just received a call from them stating the new estimated delivery is beginning of January. Their explanation it's due to COVID and it could be worse because they have customers who have been waiting for their products 9+ months. My husband and I have bought furniture at Becker Furniture World before with good experiences. However, today we stopped in the Becker location and did not get any acknowledgement from the main desk associates and in the bedroom set area two sales people walked right by us. We finally had to go to the main desk to ask about the item we were looking for. It is amazing to me that the staff judges you when you walk in the door and based on appearance you either get assistance or ignored. Since we are building a home we will be looking for several pieces of furniture. We will look for other furniture businesses that treat everyone equally. read more

Very poor after purchase service. We have had issues with both a recliner and reclining sofa we purchased. The cooling mechanism and USB port has gone out on both (the second time for the recliner). Took over 3 months to get repaired the first time. Now less than a year later it is out again. Went in on Sunday to look for a very specific item. The sales rep, Jacob V, was glad to grab a tape measure and scour the store with us for the exact item we needed. We ended up buying a couch at the same time! Delivery was set up for the following Tuesday. However, due to human error both items were not delivered (honest mistake!). The deliver person was really nice and knowledgeable about getting the couch through an awkward space. Ended up having to go to the store to pick the other item up myself. Talked to Shane, one of the managers and was offered a refund on my delivery. Didn't even have to ask or push. Crystal, the POS rep worked diligently to get the refund processed even though the computer was giving her trouble and other customers were being pushy. Scheduled it and was advised that they could come late in the day. Now they are advising that they can't honor this. Spoke with a manager - Shane. Wouldn't help. 1. Offered up free shipping - which I should have received in the first place. 2. Advised they could leave it in the garage. (I can miraculously get the couch in my home?) I am now out 3 weeks. Took possession of a sectional with inadequate stuffing in the back cushions. I filed the required paperwork within 3 days. I learned today that they forwarded the request to the manufacturer 6 weeks later!! I had called over a doen times. I have e-mailed. I wrote a paper letter to the manager and to headquarters. It is impossible to get service. I have spoke to 2 "managers. " I have even been lied to about who is in the chain of command above a manager. Keep your money. I finally walked up to the desk after waiting to see if anyone was going to come acknowledge us because I had questions. They are very good on helping when you are wanting to purchase something. We bought 12 outdoor pieces and they were more than willing to help us in the selection and take our money. The problem was when we had an issue with some of the pieces that did not hold up to the weather. We asked them to send someone out to see about a repair which we were willing to pay for and the service ended and they were not at all helpful. For this reason, we will never buy there again. Shady company. Went to pay for our items...charged our debit card and then came back to say they undercharged us by giving us a discount we weren't supposed to get. Most companies would have said, your lucky day :). No instead we had to wait for them to figure out why it kept coming up cheaper in the system. I will not be using them again. Next time I would rather go to a place that appreciates their customers. I know it may not seem like a big deal to some but why shouldn't they just honor their initial price when it benefits the customer? It was less than a 10% on my overall bill. They could have started a customer for life...now I will tell everyone to not go their as they only care about their commission as it was the sales person who saw the discount. Ordered a new bedroom set with delivery and setup. After about two weeks the knobs on the dressers were loose and the screws to hold them on were stripped. We called Becker and they told US to call THEIR insurance company to file a claim. This is the worst customer service that I've ever experienced. We bought a very expensive power reclining sofa and loveseat and the set is crappy. The bonded leather (we were told it was real leather) separated and even though we had warranty (a scam DO NOT GET) would not replace or fix. We are four years into this set and are replacing with something from HOM. So disgusted that after spending over 4K on a set that we are already purchasing new. Becker wasn't interested in helping us with the warranty company. Becker Furniture used to be a good place to buy furniture before. Lately, I came back in market to buy lot of furniture, but was surprised to see poor quality product now coming out of becker. When I went back to maple grove store, where I bought it from, there was so much resistance in getting it back. I also bought serta mattress from maple grove store, the sales-lady (don't want to out names here), when she sold the mattress to me on phone, she said that I can return the mattress anytime within 30 days. We didn't like the mattress and went to the store,....she was not working that day, so I spoke to her manager about changing the mattress. Her Manager refused to change the mattress, saying that their policy is not to change the mattress in first 30 days of use...I can change it after using it for 30 days. 1) When it was sold to me, i clearly asked this multiple times, and was told, that I can return it anytime WITHIN 30 days...but manager said differently. Mattress was horrible, so we wanted to change it right away but was refused. 2) Then on the top of it manager commented that I didn't buy a pillow with mattress, so I cannot return the mattress now. I bought into the scam of buying mattress cover just because I wanted to get the warranty of returning the mattress from Becker per saleslady, but when I went there to change it,.....this new thing of pillow came up, which I was not told about at the time of buying. HOW HORRIBLE! Cheaters! 3) By the way, the other guy working at becker, maple grove selling mattresses that day was very very very rude in handling the situation. He was not ready to listen....we wanted to explore different mattresses that day, and he was insisting on having us buy one specific beautyrest mattress....it almost seemed he was getting more commission in selling that mattress. He literally shouted at me and said that I don't know what I am buying and I should listen to him since he has BS in Physiology. What a crap conversation! I told him, i will take his advise, but want to explore other mattresses, and he did not wanted to give me details of other mattresses. Guys, I have NEVER had such experience before. I returned bedroom furniture already, and still waiting for refund for last 2-3 weeks. THeir accounting is horrible, they have done mistakes twice. Customer service sucks! I purchased two bar stools for my new house. I picked them up back in August and when I got home, I discovered they were damage. I followed the process of contacting the Becker team that deals with damaged products, took the pictures, sent them to them. Two months later, I still do not have resolution. Becker will not return them because they are not a "safety" hazard. The manufacturer / vendor is not allowing them to be returned at this point. What type of vendor is Becker doing business with is my question. I sent a letter to Becker and addressed it to Joel Huseby at Becker and no response!!! I'm pleased to say that I had a good experience at Becker in Maple Grove. Went in with a couch in mind, told them what I wanted, asked when it would be in... and the dang thing was early. I had to move out delivery a couple of weeks since I hadn't even moved into the new home I had purchased the couch for. Plus - the delivery guys were AMAZING. Apparently I bought the "most returned" couch because it won't fit into people's doors or hallways for delivery - luckily I had measured 3 times before ordering - and the monster made it successfully into my living room in under 10 minutes. I opted for the 5 year warranty insurance on my purchase, after not using the insurance - I called to claim back my warrant ($139.99) after calling and speaking to multiple people for over 6 months - they told me there was nothing they could do, as no one had put a note in my customer order and it was after the time period even though I have been calling diligently for months. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY OR PURCHASE THE INSURANCE. They do not respect customers and made no effort to help make up for the mistake on their side. NEVER BUY ONLINE at Becker!!! I purchased bar stools online on 7.14.19 and received an email shortly after the purchasing stating ..."An associate will contact you shortly to confirm your order. If this is outside of our normal store hours, you will receive a call the next business day." After never receiving a call I reached out on 7.17 to speak with someone in their internet sales department, Kendra. Kendra told me the bar stools were no longer available but would see if we could special order them or find another bar stools for me. One week later she never got back to me so I reached out to her again. She explained that I could get the barstools I had purchased online but I wouldn't get them until November and the price of the barstool doubled. She said she was going to do some digging to see other options and never got back to me. I have five times and spoke to and left messages with different people to call me back and I have gotten nothing yet. So to summarize Becker Furniture has already taken my payment of $966.32 and can't get anyone to call me back to either give me my money back or purchase new bar stools. I really wish I would have paid attention to the poor reviews before purchasing items from Becker in Maple Grove. I bought 3 items for nearly $2500 on 6/9/19 to be delivered the week of 6/24. Now, every 2 weeks I get a call telling me that it it will be another 2 weeks before my items are available. No apologies, no explanations, no offer to deliver the pieces as they are available instead of waiting for the elusive dining table to be available, and no response to my request that someone please call or email me with any assistance or solution. It is now allegedly 7/28 that I can get my items, but I doubt that will be the case. read more

We were looking to buy a sectional, and after doing some research came in to Becker to check on out that they had. Walked around for a few minutes before any worker (probably half a dozen standing around on their phones) would help us. When we were able to ask some questions, they blew off our attempt to get them to price match and then told us to go buy it from the store that can give a better deal as I had to have a paper quote from the store to get a price match. Ordered a lovely console table and stools from Becker on Feb 1st was told they will be in on Feb 21st. Received a call from our sales person on Feb 20th - "Just want to let you know we are now expecting them on Feb 27th". I called Becker on Feb 28th and inquired about the table and stools - the table is in but we are waiting for the stools. They will send all packages together when they are all in. I had to ask for my table to be sent to MG location so I could pick it up . When I picked up the table on March 6th I was told the stools will be in next week (the 12th). Called today (the 12th) and guess what stools are still not in - I had to suggest to the store manager - Stacy, that she should reach out to the manufacturer and inquire about the delay - I can't believe this is not their standard weekly check list to do for every customer waiting for a product. It's now been 6 weeks waiting for a product that was suppose to take 3 weeks - come on Becker get it together!! read more

Don't shop here: I wish I didn't have to write this, but I will never shop at Becker again. My husband and I purchased a dining room set from here 3 years ago, within months of delivery, the solid wood table was split about a quarter of the way through. We did not think this would be a problem since it also happened within the first year of purchasing it and we also purchased the extra insurance. Over the following 2.5 years we battled to get this replaced. We tried working with the store directly, working with the Becker customer service line, and also the additional insurance company that we paid for. Each pointing fingers at who was responsible to fix this and saying someone would call us back. Recently we finally got the attention of the local store manager. We went in, upgraded to new custom furniture with a matching hutch and paid thousands more. The morning that the dining set was scheduled for delivery I got a call from the warehouse saying that 4 of the 10 dining chairs in the set were a different color than the others. After weeks of sending photos, bringing the chairs into the showroom, and we are told that the manufacturer will cover 2 of the 4 mismatching chairs to get replaced. To top everything off, we ordered a brown color for this set, however: the table, hutch, and 6 other chairs are stained red. And yes, we brought the sample home so that we could see it in our house before ordering. I'm done playing this game and it's been such a hassle.  Don't waste your time. I read the other review on here but I decided to go with Becker Furniture World because they had the favorite couch that I found in the area. I tend to fall on the trusting side and with only one review I took a chance. Plus, the couch was only going to be 3 weeks out which didn't bother me all that much. I stopped in to Becker a week before my delivery and purchased a TV stand that was in stock. I had them look up my order and they told me that one piece of my sectional was already in the warehouse. Well, my delivery week approached and I was not called so I decided to double check on the progress. At this time, they informed me that they did not have any of my order in the distribution center and it would be delayed to the first week in September! After making a few phone calls, I was referred to a store manager who said they would look into the issue. Well, I have called a couple times with some questions and I think Becker tries to pull a "power move" because both times they said they would check on something and get right back to me. Several hours later, they call back right before the end of their day. Maybe they hope you forget why you called in the first place. I do have to give them credit though; they tried to work with me by giving me a break on the delivery charge and a small credit to be applied towards another purchase. Because foolishly, I decided to buy some end tables to match my TV stand. Well, I get the bill for the end tables after making the transaction over the phone and there is no store credit. I call my salesperson for an explanation and I get the same thing. Towards the end of the day I get a call which I could not answer. They tried to tell me I was getting a better deal, but I think they forgot I had a quote worked out before and I can tell there isn't any price break as promised. Regardless, I am frustrated so I am just waiting for my delivery date. I call in because it is my promised delivery week and I have not heard anything. Once again, it has been delayed, this time until September 27th. I asked to speak to a manager but I was on hold for 10 minutes and I finally had to hang up. I purchased my couch in early July and I am not sure I will ever see this thing. I am so annoyed and I want to cancel my order but I'm afraid I am just going to wait somewhere else. Customer service representative was extremely rude. We (myself and two other adults) went in to purchase blu-tech mattresses. They are over $6,000 each. The woman behind the counter did not even acknowledge us or say hello as we were shopping. When we asked if any different styles were on display, she (with an annoyed look on her face) looked up from her computer, frowned and shook her head. Clearly this woman was not interested in earning our business so we left immediately. We took our business elsewhere and spent over $20,000 on new mattresses. read more

I am not surprised to see all the 1 and 2 start reviews after my experience. It all started out ok when we ordered our custom Bassett sofa spending $3500. It was even better when I was advised by our sales person that it had come in early. After that everything went downhill. Once unwrapped and placed the sofa in our living room we noticed a quality issue on each of the arms where the fabric was not stretched properly and there is a small area where you can see the stuffing. I thought that this was very poor that no one either at the plant or the Becker warehouse discovered this flaw before it was delivered. We also determined that it was ordered with the wrong fabric. I advised our sales person that I would keep the sofa in the wrong color as it did work with our place but that we needed to have the fabric hole issues fixed and that I would like a store credit of $1000 to compensate me for the issues. A $1000 store credit would cost Becker $500 as the markup on furniture is significant. I thought this was a fair deal as they did not need to re-order the sofa (due to the wrong color) deliver the new sofa and pick up the first sofa and then most likely sell in their outlet since we had used it while they ordered the new one. The store manager advised that she needed to get approval from corporate. I called and emailed and called every few days and after 3 weeks was very frustrated that no one from corporate had responded to my request. I was the one having to contact the store to find out status. They never connected with me to give me status updates... And on top of this contacting them is very difficult as there are certain days of the week where they do not answer their phone. Also there were many times that my sales person did not answer my emails. Finally after demanding an answer, they got back to me with either a 10% credit or $350 or a $500 store credit. This was not acceptable to me and I asked to speak with someone at corporate. Apparently the corporate people do not want to talk to the customers as the manager advised that this is not possible. Not sure how you can run a business and not talk to the customers.... Anyway at this point, I am so frustrated and would prefer to return the sofa for a full credit but they advised that I can't do this because it was custom...... #verydisappointed read more
