You walk in and don't realize how large the space is. You're greeted with so many fliers to amazing events (lots of LGBTQ) and it was fun to see. The pastry shelf was amazing and the barista told us what each one was. I enjoyed a delicious vanilla latte which was brought in a Tall mug. They had two (at least) areas with couches and sofa chairs and then many tables and benches to Enjoy. There was games and crayons for kids accessible as well. The environment was warm and if I lived there I'd probably go everyday.

I hate to leave an average review of this place I was so excited to check it out. The pros are that…read moreit's a great size with lots of different seating options and good WiFi, so great for remote work. There's all kinds of community supporting programs/events/initiatives which is amazing. Sadly, I was pretty let down by the food choices. As a vegetarian, finding a lunch option that isn't just a veggie sub (or pizza) is kind of hard, and I had looked at the Wander menu specifically and noticed their paninis/soups/salads/sandwiches that seemed really tasty, and that it was served till 2. Unfortunately when we came in around 1 we were told they couldn't make any of their paninis/sandwiches and didn't have a soup. This basically left us pastries (wasn't really feeling a sweet lunch). It made for a hungry and sad afternoon! If I was in the area I might try again, but I won't come back out of my way.

I went to The Starving Artist recently and honestly had a terrible time. I waited around 20 minutes…read morefor my food, and when it finally came out it was cold, like it had been sitting there forever. On top of that, I asked twice for my plain black iced coffee, and it didn't show up until after I finished eating, which kind of defeated the purpose of ordering it. It genuinely felt like the staff was more focused on chatting with each other than taking care of customers. The vibe from the employees was also not great. When I mentioned I was vegetarian, I got a reaction that felt really judgmental and dismissive, which made me uncomfortable. When I asked for the Wi-Fi, I got hit with a snarky, "Do you not see the sign?" while they pointed at something completely hidden. The whole thing came off as really passive-aggressive. Overall, the service felt rude and unwelcoming, the food was cold, and the drink situation was just annoying. I left feeling like I had spent money just to be treated poorly. I've actually given this place a few chances, because I do like the aesthetics, but the food and service are just not good. The food is bland, and I don't feel like paying $20 for something that tastes like cardboard. ALSO I ordered a kale salad and the kale wasn't even massaged. It was just straight up kale dressing and a few pumpkin seeds. This was $17 by the way.
