Jake said he would take care of everything. Well he didn't take care of the outstanding rent a car balance of $1,400 from Enterprise. I spoke to Jake a few weeks ago and he assured me that he would pay the bill. As of today my Enterprise account is still flagged so I can't rent from them until the balance is paid. Where is Jake's integrity? He didn't repair my Chevy Cruise in a timely manner either and when I came to pick it up, the front bumper was loose and was missing the driver side mirror so I refused to pick up my car. He reordered the two parts and a month later my car was finally completed. Jake never requested an extension from The State Of Utah Risk Management for another months rental car fee! Jake told me to keep the rental while he reordered the two parts. I have done business with Beckstrom prior when his parents owned the company. They were great! But Jake is not! I will never do business with Beckstrom again and would advise others beware! I have filed a complaint with the BBB. read more

First it took them 3 months of it being in the shop to get it fixed.... 3 months.... and then they told me they needed a part still but to take it. My review is for Beckstrom's on 2nd. Street. I just picked up my 2000 Ford Ranger today. My little truck sets outside baking in the sun constantly. The hood and the top of the cab had deteriorated terribly after all these years. I was embarrassed by its appearance. Took it in and spoke with Mason. He assured me they could turn it around to look like new. He was right! My paint was so bad, they had to take it down to bare metal before starting the painting process. My little truck looks, to me, fantastic! When I asked Mason how long he thought it would last, well the number he threw out means this paint job will be around when I'm not! Very piss poor work! Truck sat in shop for a whole week and did not work on it. Then towards the had to wait for bed bolts. Should have been ordered when unbolting the bed. Go to pick up my truck, and there was a dent still in the box. Told the girl about the dent. She got real ignorant , and said they fixed what was on the work order. Checked out the truck, license plate light inoperative. They charged me for 6 bolts, only 4 shiny bolts. Two bolts they removed that they didn't need to. Did not put the bolts back in,for my camper tie down. The camper tie downs are also bolted to the bed. While checking the right front brakes, seen some waves in the lower part of the right door. They did not contact me, I only found out a week later because I stopped by to see how its going. I picked it up last week and the windshield was cracked, Here it is a week later and my widshield is not fixed, This is not what I would call good service. read more

I was involved in an accident early November 2021. Beckstrom Body Shop was recommended by insurance and was convenient for myself as I live very close. I took my truck down for an estimate and was told they could take it the next day. Start working on it as soon as parts arrived. Parts had arrived within 5-7 days if I recall correctly. Front bumper needed to be replaced, rear bumper needed to be replaced, touch up paint and a couple minor issues. When I received my quote I was told by the estimator that the frame in the rear looked a "little kinked" and that they wouldn't know for sure until it was up on the lift. Understandable, I had just been rear ended. I dropped my truck off the next evening. Tomorrow will be 11/30/21. 78 days now. I have yet to get my truck back. Beckstroms communication is very poor. As I read through comments I noticed all the poor reviews have something very similar with my situation. I have been told now 4-5 times that my truck is going to be ready in the last 3 weeks. When that time comes, I can not get ahold of the estimator, he doesn't respond, I don't have a definite answer from anyone in the shop or they found another issue that needs to be fixed... Like when my truck was supposedly wrapped up and just putting a few minor things back together they noticed my frame is a "little kinked"...After they had done all front and rear work along with cosmetic and telling me about my "kinked frame" the day I received an estimate. Today 11/29/21 I was told my truck was done and completed. I was told insurance was going to cover my leaking power steering fluid weeks ago, I was told it had been completed and yet to find out it never did and will not be covered. At this point I just need my truck back and will take it to a shop that can handle the job. I showed up to pick my truck up, without getting 150 yards away I was notified my truck had 0 oil pressure. My truck is still at Beckstroms. This experience has been an absolute shit show. Excuse my language. Not only will this hurt Beckstrom from my own recommendations and this review but it has hurt my business as well. I am a owner of a construction company, my truck plays a huge roll in my everyday work life to be efficient, REALIABLE and complete my jobs. I am a very patient man and understanding but I have absolutely been taken advantage of by Beckstrom. Partly my fault for waiving past the many red flags. I don't usually go to this extent but I did in the hopes of saving potential customers the nightmare and the possibility of their livelihood being taken advantage of. read more

BEWARE!!!! They would get zero stars if the system allowed. This business is the worst I have ever dealt with in my 54 years. A couple of months ago I contacted Jake at Beckstrom Auto Body on Lincoln Ave. in Ogden to have my motorcycle painted, he said I could bring the parts in and that it was a great time to have them do it as they were slow and it wouldn't take long. I dropped the parts off and . I explained to him that this was my dream bike, a collectors item and that I wanted a nice job on the paint. After patiently waiting for several weeks, I contacted Jake to see when it would be finished and he told me that most of the parts were done, just waiting on a couple more to be done. 2 weeks later he said that the parts were all painted and getting a second coat of clear and that they would get them polished up that afternoon or the next morning and he would plan a pick up time for me to come get the parts. He would not return my calls for a couple days after that, so I drove down to the shop to talk to him in person and he assured me that the following day the parts would be ready! The next morning he calls me and said that the clear coat was bubbling because they did not use the right product when his guys applied the graphics prior to the clear coat!!! Several days later he said that they were able to remove the clear coat and use a different clear coat that would not react the way that the first one did. He said the clear coat process was done but he needed the parts to bake in the booth for 4 hours. Beyond frustrated, I told him I was going out of town for a few days for work and that I would touch base when I got back home and that I just wanted a quality job for my motorcycle. Upon returning home I called him and he said the parts were done and "looking really good" and that he would deliver them the next morning after 10:30am. After waiting until 3:00pm that next day, he never showed up to deliver the parts or bothered to call me. I then drove down to his shop again, to find that they were closed for Frontier Day's (holiday in Utah). He would not answer my calls to his cell phone either. The next morning he had the nerve to text me the ol "family illness" excuse for not getting the parts to me as promised. I drove down to the shop once again first thing in the morning and my parts were sitting on the floor of the shop in a pile unpainted!!!!!!!!!!!! No black gloss that he said was painted, no clear coats that he said were applied, nothing, just scuffed and sanded on the original paint scheme. I was dumbfounded, I've never heard so many lies and B.S. in my life. I cannot fathom that these people are even in business!!!! read more

My wife and I were involved in two separate minor "fender bender" accidents within the past year that we were deemed not at fault in. Our insurance company referred us to them first time and we brought our Chrysler first to the 2nd Street location. When I was involved in mine with my Honda a few weeks ago, I told my insurance company where I wanted go... right back to Beckstrom's. Marshall and the rest of the staff were true professionals and took care of everything. Even called a rental car company to come pick me up. With both repairs, they notified me with updates and also told me when the vehicles were ready for pickup. Upon review of their repair work in both jobs, their quality is exceptional and without peer! I could not be any happier! Friendly and helpful at estimating damage of my vehicle. The shop had a hard time getting communication from my insurance company so they held my car hostage and racked up fees daily that I was never informed of until I offered to pay the damage myself and got into a heated dispute over releasing my car. I was told the repairs cost the extra money but the three way call with our insurance the estimator claimed the car had been finished for a good time and was charging storage and admin fees to my insurance until they would "speak" to him. I did get my car back immediately after the call with my insurance but due to the huge lack of professionalism and customer care I will not use or recommend this shop to anyone in the future. read more

I have had several different incidents within the last six months where I needed Beckstrom's professional auto body work done on my car. With each of these incidents, the car came back looking like it did before the damage was done. In fact...the car looked better because they washed it really nice for me when I picked it up. This week I had to ask for more assistance as a dog jumped up to my passenger car door and put quite a few scratches on the door. I was sick about it. In talking to Jake Randall, an employee at Beckstrom Auto, he told me that he felt like he could buff it out without even charging me. My husband is also a standing customer of Beckstrom Auto with all the many mishaps that take place with his employees driving his company car. Today as those scratches were fixed, I felt that Jake was really going the extra mile. I was so pleased when I picked up my car and could hardly see any of the scratches. He did such an awesome job, and I certainly appreciated the favor! I know that they also appreciate our continued business. I've had the Beckstroms work on 2 of my vehicles. When a freak windstorm sent a trampoline into our (new) Mazda CX-9 they were able to fix the dent and paint back to "new" condition. This was the same side where we had a door ding that the Dealership had fixed with a can of red paint (no clear-coat) and charged us $150 bucks. The Beckstroms fixed the dent from the trampoline and the hack job from the Mazda dealership to perfection... I mean that literally... it was perfect. I also got some work on my 2002 Nissan Altima. My wife took out the side mirror backing out of the driveway. I have to admit, I think it's a little ridiculous how picky Shawn was about it... maybe I'm not a "car guy"... Shawn insisted on giving me a discount when he realized there was a scratch in the side-view mirror cover I provided; his paint guys had painted over the scratch instead of replacing. I told him I was driving a 12 year old car and I just needed a painted mirror, but it impressed me that he wasn't satisfied with the outcome of the job when I was happy. TL;DR They do quality work. My insurance company recommended this shop (Beckstrom on 2nd St) and we were excited for them to help us with our car -after being rear ended. They explained to us that no money was due until the work was finished and that we were satisfied with their work. The day after we left the car with them we got a call from our insurance company stating that the paperwork we signed authorized the insurance company to send payment directly to the body shop. I asked the insurance for a copy of that paperwork. The bodyshop had forged my signature on the paperwork so that they would get the payment directly. When I called and asked the bodyshop about this, I was told that if I get the money, then I might spend it and then not pay them for the work. AWFUL business practices!!! The two office ladies are very welcoming and guide you through the process. In addition to the above and equally as important is that they replaced my bumper, fixed a few others things in three days. I would like to post a more positive review, but I'm afraid I cannot. My 2019 Lexus SUV had no body damage, but a scrape from a parking lot incident. I chose Beckstrom because of their overwhelmingly positive reviews. Got an estimate & it seemed reasonable, so I booked an appointment for the following week to get my car repaired. I brought it in early on a Tuesday morning & was told it would take about 5 days. Not counting Saturday & Sunday, that should have been the following Monday. No call, no comunication. Called Tuesday afternoon & was told I would have an update call the next day. Wednesday - no call all day. I called at 4:30 - 1st excuse, paint shop was down 1/2 day at some point. I was told I would have my car by the weekend - and that I should call on Friday morning - I SHOULD CALL??!! Friday came - again NO CORRESPONDENCE, NO CALL. I called around noon & was told (2nd excuse) that one of their guys had been off for 2 weeks for health reasons, and again called in sick. I was also told that they just had to assemble my car (this was a lie) & that I MIGHT have it back by the end of the day, but it would probably be Monday. I then asked to speak to the owner or manager who proceeded to tell me that my car was only PRIMERED. 9 DAYS IN THE SHOP & IT HADN'T EVEN BEEN PAINTED YET?????? I was very upset. At which point, (person I spoke to) Jake told me that he would get me a rental car & pay for it. Rental car was good & they paid for it, as promised. Lo and behold, Monday morning I received a call from Jake saying they worked on it all weekend & that it should be ready later that day. In their defense, they made a fair attempt to rectify the situation with the rental car. And I noticed (when I picked up my car) that they had a new stack of forms on the counter for customers to fill out - about how they would like to receive communication (phone, email or text). I believe that they are making efforts to improve on their communication. But it should not have taken my situation in order to motivate them to do so. As far as the work on my vehicle, they did a very good job & I was happy with the outcome, just not the communication & the length of time it took to get the job done. read more

I am the owner of a new 2018 Hyundai. A few weeks ago I went to watch a Raptors game. Watching the foul balls fly over the stadium I sat there like everyone else hoping that there car was safe. Even tho I figured I was safely parked under a tree I was totally wrong. After leaving the game I immediately noticed that the tree wasn't a safe zone after all. The ball hadn't just put a ding in my hood but made a bullseye when it hit at the top of my windshield. Not only splitting the windshield but also shattering a beautiful glass just above it. I immediately thought Beckstroms to the rescue & called them the very next morning. I tell you what...they are the most informed ladies in that office. I didn't have to worry about anything. They called my insurance company, ordered the parts & set me up with an appointment. ( give them a raise) A few days later the parts arrived & my beautiful car was just like new again. We've used Beckstrom a few times over the years but this time has been especially frustrating. We had an insurance claim due to a minor accident on our 2009 Rabbit. The quality of the repair was quite good. However, we received an estimate for and approved some other work on the vehicle at our own expense. This wasn't completed. We also asked repeatedly for an estimate to replace the headliner in the car. Despite four phone calls and assurances that the estimate would be to us right away or that someone would call us back, we were completely ignored. Finally, there was wheel damage during the accident. As the car had a full size spare it was in the back of the car. When we picked it up the damaged wheel was still there unfixed. We pointed it out to the office, they profusely apologized and assured us we would have it in a couple of days. It's now 10 days later and we hope to have a spare for the vehicle later today. However, repeated promises have not been kept so I am not holding my breath. Overall, I feel ignored as a consumer and have had my time wasted repeatedly. We will not be using Beckstrom's again. read more

The same day of the accident I had an estimate done by John Chevalier Collision Centerz collision repair shop and it came out to be ~2400.00 dollars. I stopped by Beckstrom Body Shop to get an estimate for the work needed on my car, because it was what my insurance recommended. That day Jason Beckstrom promised me that all the work on the car would be done in five (5) days and that they would return it to me by Friday the 9th of February if I brought it in to the shop on Monday the 5th of February. The estimate Jason Beckstrom had given me was for 2539.59 and it included replacing some parts with new ones, like the hood, because they were beyond repair as Jason Beckstrom explained to me. I brought my car into the Beckstrom Shop on Sunday the 4th of February so that they would have it early Monday as they had instructed, so that I could have it back by that following Friday the 9th and reduce car rental costs On Thursday the 8th I called Jason Beckstrom and he informed me that they were not going to be able to give me my car because they did not receive the correct bumper. But he told me that I would be done on Monday at noon. I then asked him what was going to happen with my rental since I now had to keep my rental for longer than he had initially promised. He informed me that since I was going to get it back on Monday that he was willing to help me out and pay for the extended time that I would need the rental for. So we left it at that On the coming Monday I called back around noon and they told me that it was not done yet but that it would be done by 5:30. So I called at 5:30 and they said that it was not finished yet and that it would be sure finished on Tuesday at noon. So I called back Tuesday at noon and they once again said that I had to wait until 5:30 to pick it up. When I called at 5:30 on Tuesday to pick it up they said that they had received the wrong part and that it would not be until Wednesday at noon. So Wednesday at noon I called back to check on the status of my vehicle that was now in the shop for twice the time that they had promised me and they said that I was being finished up and that it would be done by 5 that evening. When I called later that evening at 5 they told me that the car was not done but that it was drivable. When I got to the shop the car's left headlight did not work but I had to take my car because I could not keep paying for this rental just because the shop could not get the parts right. After all of this lying and misinforming on the Body shop's part, I went home to take a look at the work they had done. This is where I found out that there were parts missing that were there when it went into the shop on the side of the vehicle that was not involved in the accident, I also found broken parts on the accident side that had not been replaced and I also found out that they had not gone with a new hood like they had told me but rather tried to fix it without informing me and of course failed to leave it in the good condition anyone would expect. Two body shop technicians met me at a parking lot the next day, away from the body shop, to try and fix the headlight because Jason Beckstrom said he did not want me in his shop any more. Once again after failing to fix the headlight the technicians told me that when they had ordered a 1500.00 dollar wiring harness, they did not actually install the entire new part (in order to save time and labor) but instead cut the section out that they thought was the bad part and replaced only that section. Turns out this did not fix the issue and Jason Beckstrom said that he does not want to continue fixing the car but rather that I take it to another shop in town and let them deal with it. So twelve (12) days later, I still don't have my car in fully operational condition and I've had to pay for my rental double what I was supposed to when this was going to be a five (5) day job as they had promised. read more

I'm extremely disappointed. Before taking my F150 for paint peeling/fading repair, I checked into all the reviews and also had a recommendation from a trusted friend. I brought it in for an estimate, then decided, based on my research, to have Beckstrom do the work. At the time of the estimate, no mention of rust was mentioned. During the second week, I was called to say there was an extra charge for a part of the roof that was not included on the estimate but needed to be done. I agreed. Again, there was no mention of rust damage. After bringing it home, I noticed that the roof had "bumpy" spots, a crack and fading along the sides above the passenger door (I think this area is what the extra charge was for), along with dried pooling paint in the recessed areas. I returned for an explanation. I was told that I had not told them to repair the rust damage. I was made to feel it was my fault. Really! I am no expert in this profession, that's why I relied on their expertise to assess the damage and let me know what it would cost to fix. After all I did get a call during the process to tell me an extra charge was needed for the one excluded part, but still no mention of any other damage. When I brought it back to show the poor quality of the work, I was told that just the clear coat was sanded down and the rust painted over. I didn't expect this from a reputable business. An offer for $500 to repaint the roof and repair the rust was made. This supposedly is a great deal. Well, I'm not sure I trust them anymore. read more

We went to Beckstroms after our 2010 Jetta Sportwagen was rear ended at a roundabout. They got our car in when promised and they finished with our car when promised. Very refreshing. While having the rear bumper replaced/painted, I also had them take out a ding in the front fender. Quality of the work all around was excellent. No complaints. I'll continue to use Beckstroms for our auto body work needs in the future (which hopefully will not be often!). read more

I just wanted to take a second and wright a review for Beckstroms. They are the best body shop around. I used to rebuild cars for fun and that has made me very good at picking out cars that have been worked on. I had Beckstroms paint my new jeep Rubicon that was orange metallic one of the hardest colors to match and you could not tell it had ever been damaged. They are the only ones i will have paint my cars. As for the last review, i do feel that i would be concerned if a body shop doesn't drive a vehicle after a wreck to make sure all is well. read more

I had a mishap with my truck and dented to side of the bed. I was surprised when they said that they could fix it without replacing the entire side. There work was excellent and I have had no problems with the repair. The color match of the paint had to be hard as the truck has spent most of its life outside and the paint had faded.You cant tell it had been repaired and repainted. I would recommend them for any body repairs. read more
