He even received a discount when he went in to pay. I had a situation where my husband hit the side of our mailbox and garage, and we needed to have repairs done. My son dropped it off, and the bid was for two separate services. He was told that if we had both repairs done at the same time, it would cost less. The phrase was "a little wiggle room on price." Today, I went to pick up the car and the cost was full amount even though there were two bids. On top of that, there was a 3% fee for using a credit card.
