It's nice and convenient that it's right near the bike trail. They could do a lot more to cater to those people - to make it a stopping point for a healthy snack or drink - But they don't have apple samples on weekdays; they won't let you buy single apples; the staff are snippy and don't know what's going on, and it REEKS of the artificial, phthalate-ridden candles and air fresheners they sell here. Also, the apples are way in the back past all the smelly stuff and touristy garbage - like they're just an afterthought. That's sad. read more

Nice visit as always. We drive here from Dayton, Ohio to get one of their Apple Pies made with apples straight from their Orchard. They also bake really good cookies and serve hot or cold apple cider. Always pick up a couple bags of apples and browse their shop with food, kitchen gadgets and linens, and holiday decorations. Went here for some fall exploring today it was a lot of fun. Warning do not go into their bakery while hungry or you might leave with something like 7 pies because man does it smell good. It has way more in their store than the average orchard store. Really did enjoy our stop today read more

I was in town visiting and decided to order a few pies for Thanksgiving. We got cherry, Dutch apple, and pumpkin. All three were delicious. I also for a few bags of apples to make applesauce, and the flavor of the apples was perfect. read more

For an idyllic fall afternoon, I'd recommend a hike in the bike & hike on the towpath, then stop nearby at Beckwith Orchards to pick up some fresh apples, cider and homemade jams or pastries, then stop in Riverside Wines near Kent for a glass of wine on the way home. Beckwith has a really cute, unique selection of little gifts and foods. We browsed around the shop and picked up some apple cider, a few bags of apples from the orchard, apple pie mix, blackberry butter and (randomly) the best jarred queso I've ever had. I only wish there were more encouraged outdoor things to do - like pick apples yourself in the orchard or walk in the pumpkin patch. read more

This is one of the cutest little apple orchards I've ever been to! I absolutely​ love fall, it's my favorite season, and of course I have to stop here every year to buy all the fall things my heart needs. There's a barn/house where you can buy all kinds of locally made foods like popcorn, jam, candy, etc. They also sell a ton of varieties of apples, which you can taste, and vegetables. I love all the different country-themed​ decorations​, especially​ the Christmas ones, so cute! They also have a bakery in which they sell heavenly homemade pies and desserts, my favorite is the berry pie get it with whipped cream! Outside there is a beautiful flower garden that's great for pictures, although the whole place is definitely​ photogenic and aesthetically​ pleasing. They have a huge apple orchard, but you can't pick the apples, unfortunately​. There's also a big corn field and some cute little hay barrels and photo ops that kids love. If you're looking to get into the fall spirit, Beckwith Orchards is definitely​ the place to go! read more

Small, little perfect little orchard. With little crowds, but great apple selection and goofy nick-knacks. I really debated about trying this because I was such a mark out to Patterson's. We get it, Patterson's makes the best cider, but their orchard experience is a headache. Take all the cons from a Patterson review and this place is the opposite. Too busy? Patterson's is a nightmare, but Beckwith's is easy to navigate even on the busiest day of the season. Patterson's has the guido's from Mayfield Heights and soccer moms from the Great Geauga county, here you get some normal people and the granola wannabe KSU student that couldn't get in to CU Boulder. What makes this place shine is their samples. Let's be honest we're yuppies, I don't know what a Mutso apple is, but here you can sample a whole one. They don't mess around, they don't give you a cheap slice, they give you the whole apple, and because of that I just bought two bags at $7 each. Our children loved the corn maze. I was impressed, it was real corn, not a fence with a small corn stalk stapled to it. Only negative, they ran out of cider and expected fresh cider a half hour later. Early to bed and early to rise next visit if I want cider. read more

Our daughter had the amazing opportunity to meet Mr Beckwith himself as we were walking the orchard 3 years ago. We didn't know who he was initially until he introduced himself towards the end of the conversation and after teaching our daughters how to truly cut a peach...an amazing way that we all still use today and pass this piece of knowledge to friends and family! This in my opinion is one of he best orchards in the area. The bakery is particularly noteworthy. Pies cakes cookies fritters. You name it. No donuts. Bummer. They give you free samples of virtually any apple you want and they have this lathe type of machine which will cut it for you. That's a great business practice. There's a little barn area that is worth seeing, Their gift shop has a lot of little knicknacks. The cider and the pies are the reason to come here. Best in the area. There is plenty of free parking and the staff is super helpful. They take credit cards too. Being from southeastern Michigan this is the best in the area. No donuts so bummer there. read more

Bechwith's is family owned and operated. My family has been buying apples there since I was a child. Now I take my children there. Each family member or employee who works at the orchard is friendly and helpful. They often have a corn maze and there are various activities on the weekends. The apples and pies are reasons enough to visit, though. If you park your car in Kent, Beckwith's is a great destination for a 5 mile round trip hike or bike ride. Remember to take a backpack to stash your apples or cider. I also carry a plastic bag in case I want to travel with a pie dangling from my handle bars on my way home. read more

Always friendly, always have top notch produce. I have never walked out of this place disappointed. Even when the weather hasn't cooperated for growing (such as the year I am writing this review), Beckwith's ALWAYS has the best produce, hands down. Prices are incredibly reasonable. They also have a neat little store for knickknacks and home decor (usually seasonal) and it's a real treat to just wander through and look at all the stuff. I love this place, I have gone several times with my Mom group. It is a fun place for all ages. The staff really takes pride in their work. Love going on the weekends because of their baked goods. My family does a lot of bike riding, and with it just off the bike path it is a nice stop on a warm day. Love the tour, and the sampling of the different types of apples. read more

I came here with my boyfriend because Patterson's was done with apple picking for the season. I'm so glad they were, because this little gem of an orchard was so cute! The drive there was beautiful with all the fall foliage, and the area has a few lakes that looked postcard-worthy. The orchard itself is not super large and very family friendly. They have a bakery with freshly baked pies and apple dumplings and cookies. We had a lunch consisting of slices of apple and pecan pie and hot apple cider. Both pies were really good, not the best I've had, but very scrumptious. We walked around the apple trees and part of the wooded areas. They also have a great shop with a ton of fresh homemade jams and butters and apple cider. We picked up a huge sack of Jonagold apples which were delicious fresh and in a pie I made that evening. Very friendly people and overall just a happy experience. I'll be back! read more

Beckwith is a treasure. We drive to Kent often from Euclid, OH and always stop to get a pie. I thought nothing could top their peach pies until I tasted the caramel apple pie. The crust is amazing - not greasy. The people who wait on you make you feel so special. Plus the variety of apples is so over-the-top. While you are there, drive a short distance to downtown Kent and visit some of the new, outstanding restaurants and shops. It is a whole new destination. read more
