Didn't want to leave a bad review but after attempting to contact the owner of this company I felt people should know what to expect and maybe the owner will see what I wanted to talk to him about. I had a 12 - 2 hour time frame and he got here at 5:20pm. Michael did a good job on my carpet but they were left very wet. Took almost 24 hours to dry and I had fans on the carpet. I had him clean my ottoman because I spilled some water on it and it left a water stain. He did tell me that it might not come up. That water stain came up but he left other water stains and black marks all over my ottoman. When I texted him about the black spots shortly after he left he responded w a rude defensive answer telling me that he didn't leave the black marks and told me it was a stained ottoman to start with. I told him it was not a stained ottoman. Since then no one will respond to my texts or messages. Horrible customer service and expect a late arrival as others have mentioned. If someone just got back to me and fixed my ottoman this review would not be here. read more

Awesome. I saw the deal on Groupon, and like all smart Groupon-aholics, I checked Yelp first (hint, hint for anyone who does not do that first because you should NOT be sucked into a great deal unless you read the reviews first) and saw all of the great reviews. I was moving and needed to get the carpets cleaned, so I bought the deal and called. They were very nice, especially when I said "yes, I'd love to have it done on the 31st, like everyone else!". I added a flight of stairs for $49 as well. Received a call the day before (yesterday) giving me a two-hour window, and today, the nice guy (whose name I don't remember, sorry) called to ask if he could come a bit early? EARLY? Um, sure. Quickly got everything into a couple of rooms without carpet, gave the dog some toys, and the three rooms AND the stairs were cleaned in no time. Really, I couldn't believe it when he said he was finished, and the carpets looked GREAT. My goal is to not have carpet in the future, but if I do, I would definitely call these guys again, Groupon or not. Tips for good Yelpers: vacuum first (they are there to clean the carpets, not vacuum them for you), give your nice cleaner some water on the way out and a tip. And a "thank you". GROUPON BUYERS BEWARE - like every other post for this business, I fell for the amazing deal at Groupon but you will experience a very painful and impossible process to contact the merchant....Once you contact the merchant, they will "schedule" a week out (long enough for you to not be able to get your money back from Groupon)....then they will tell you that they will call you the day before the appointment to confirm the time and they just never call you...then they don't show up to your appointment and blame it on a "scheduling glitch"...they did that to me twice...and then they just don't pick up your calls, nor return voicemails and emails are just a waste of your time and hard earned money. Beyond frustrating experience. I scheduled an appointment and planned my day off and appointments around this. I am a single person, my time is valuable and it's important for me to make the most of my time off. The night before at 8:30pm, I received a voicemail stating a different time frame. Which couldn't work for me as I had already planned my day on the original agreed upon time. 3 unreturned calls and text messages later I receive a text saying the appointment had been moved to my original time and that the tech would call on the way. That being said the technician was 30 minutes late, didn't bother to call to say he would be late and no apology. He was unclear as to what he was supposed to be cleaning. I was only a little frustrated because I was given a 2 hour window and they were about 30 minutes after the time frame- but I know how things go. Best i have ever used. My couches had alot of deep dirt. I had 2 other steam cleaning companies come in over the last 4 years. They together got out 15%, of the dirt at best. Beckwith hit my couches hard and got out about 90%. I was shocked how good it was and all for $170. I was prepared to spend more or buy new couches. They look fantastic. read more

The scheduling process was very easy. They honored my price from groupon so it skipped a step of going through another vendor. They had a conflict with my original appointment time and asked me to move my appointment earlier so they can make sure they are on time for their next client which I did not mind at all. I appreciated the honesty and the good communication. The gentleman cleaning the carpets came earlier than we were scheduled for. He went through all the options I had to clean for a new empty home. I had two very small closets inside the bedrooms which he helped me clean as well and I was so appreciative of it. They were so professional, quick and did not need me to assist them with anything. He gave me tips of what to do after he leaves, warned me about walking on the carpet and hardwood floor after may be slippery etc. The one guy that cleaned my home (2 bedrooms with closets, hall way, and stairs) finished within half an hour. My new home smelled so nice after they cleaned it. I was very happy I went with Bechwith Pro Clean. Customer service is always important to me and this company was very good with their service. My husband and I had rented a Rug Doctor a few times since moving to our first home 2 years ago and found ourselves frustrated with the bulk of moving the Rug Doctor up 3 flights of steps and around. You have to get one of the "wide" ones otherwise it takes forever. But where Rug Doctor really gets you is the cleaner, the foam reducer, and the spot cleaner PLUS the rental of the unit (which has to be returned in one day) and the stain booster. By the end of all this you can easily spend upwards of $150 or more if you have 3 pets as we do. And still stains are left behind and you have soggy carpets that take forever to dry. The results are temporary. We've kept our eyes out for a Groupon or BuyWithMe deal for the last few months to see if we could find something comparable in cost or even slightly more since it would save us considerable labor and hassle and might net better results. We've seen many companies advertising their services, but none would consider our 3rd floor triple decker condo with finished attic. We had all given up when we saw a deal with Eversave and Beckwith, and I gave them a call. Lo and behold--they do do higher floors! We asked them to come pronto and they had a slot about 2 weeks away, which I immediately accepted. Brian was slightly late (but called to let us know in advance so we weren't hanging/wondering and we needed the extra minutes to get things moved anyway) and extremely professional when he arrived. He got right down to business. He told us what we were doing wrong with our Resolve, Woolite, Nature's Miracle habit and what we ought to be doing (white vinegar and water) on stains to be more effective and healthier for our pets and toddler daughter. The results were a million times better than we had ever seen because we bought the house with stained carpets to begin with (and I think the previous owners/renters were pet owners as well). A few stains didn't come out, but they look MUCH better and weren't the issue with the process--but rather we had neglected our carpets and treating stains since our daughter's arrival had been put on the backburner. Based upon the deal and the fact that they were so easy to work with, I'd definitely go to them for cleaning again, and I will certainly consider them when re-carpeting our finished attic. We dealt with Beckwith Carpet two times... The first time was when they came and installed our carpets to our house. They installed a three rooms of carpet. This "so called" three rooms of carpet deal didn't work for us, of course, because our rooms were "too big". So, we went with them anyway. They put in two bedrooms and a very large playroom in our basement. When they came to install it. The carpet they brought was cut wrong and they had to go back and get a whole new carpet. The 'owner' measured the carpet wrong and they had to go back and re-cut a whole new carpet for our upstairs bedroom. Now on to the basement playroom...They put down the carpet in the basement WITH a padding. They sealed it in two different spots. They make you sign all these papers stating you need to clean your carpets, etc, at least once a year and if you don't your warrenty is voided. Well, (we called them about 11 months later) out to clean our carpets and our furniture. Including carpets they didn't even install. I also spoke to the OWNER and told him that the seals on the carpet were coming apart..He said he would have the cleaner take a look at them. THEY WERE NO WHERE NEAR THE TINY BIT OF WATER THAT CAME IN..THEY WERE ACROSS THE ROOM! After he cleaned all the other carpets and damaged my brand new bedroom furniture (from dragging his hose all along the bed and bureaus) and tore my gorgeous boston interiors 2,500.00 couch after cleaning it. We then asked what is the plan in the playroom with the seals coming apart and the small water leak. He said when he gets back to the shop HE WILL TELL HIS BOSS ABOUT THE SEALS they WILL GET FIXED!!! Then...he went on about how I need to tear up the carpet and let it all dry out and when they installed the carpet in the basement that Beckwith should NOT have charged me for a pad in the basement! Pads shouldn't go in basements! That they should just have put in the carpet and they just put in the pad becasue they wanted to just make money off of me...Pretty interesting...AH? Well..it gets more interesting...I called the next day and asked when are they coming to fix my seals and I got the run around! I called them for weeks. He didn't even have the common courtesy to give me a call back..I will never ever use them again.And now warranty ran out and it's too late....perfect, ah?. If I was you..I'd run from BECKWITH! They now have some sort of coupon running right now with one of the coupon people...I'd run as fast as you can unless you want your furniture destroyed...You were warned.... read more

I bought a deal off of LivingSocial for carpet cleaning for 3 rooms. Scheduling a time block was really easy--I called and spoke to someone, told them we were moving and needed the carpets cleaned within the next 5 days, and he gave me a 4 hour window on the exact day I wanted. They call you the day before your appointment to confirm that someone will be home and also to give you a more precise 2-hour window of arrival. The day of the appointment I received a call from Brian, the cleaning technician, who let me know that he was on his way and should be there by 10am because of traffic (our appointment arrival window was 9am-11am). He actually got there around 9:45am. Brian was very friendly, knowledgeable, and made sure that I knew exactly what the LivingSocial deal covered and what extras it didn't cover. The whole appointment, from setup to cleaning to break-down, took about 1 hour. Our carpets looked the best they'd ever looked since we moved in 4 years prior. I would highly recommend Beckwith Pro Clean to anyone looking for reliable, friendly, and effective carpet cleaning. The map on Yelp makes it look like they only serve areas south of Boston, but we live in Somerville and were well within their service area. read more

I saw a groupon, but only had 2 rooms (about 700 sq ft), so I called. The original quote was 129, until I mentioned the deal. Dropped down to 69 then 20 for a pretreatment. Good Deal. Scheduling was out 2 weeks and when I told them I'd be away their available time, they fit me in just 2 days in advance. Which was great. The bad: they were about 40 minutes past the 2 hour window - an earlier job turned into an all-day thing (things happen, you've got to be understanding) HOWEVER, Even after a long day, Brian showed up -dressed professionally and apologetic. I walk him through the job and he quickly and efficiently goes to work. Carpets came out looking GREAT, of course you can still see some traffic, but it's a white carpet and I'm not crazy. To top it off, as he's wrapping up, my neighbor comes over to see the carpet and Brian fit him in right there and did his 6 rooms + 2 stair cases in just 2 hours. THE WORST EXPERIENCE WITH A VENDOR IN MY LIFE! On December 24, 2020, 2 men from Beckwith picked up an area rug from my home. Mike and his fellow worker told me that although they were moving their Weymouth facility, I would get my rug cleaned and returned in a couple of days. As of this post, April 8, 2021, my rug has not been returned to me. I paid in full by check on the day they picked up. The check was written out for Cash in the amount of $150. I have made many phone calls over the last 4 MONTHS to get an answer as to why it has taken such a ridiculously long time to clean a 9x12 rug!!! Mike called me on March 26 to say that they had a fire and that my rug was in some sort of storage container and they were going to get it and deliver it back within 2 days. I never heard from them. I left a message yesterday, April 7 and alerted them that I would be calling the Better Business Bureau to report their delinquency and appalling customer treatment. Still haven't heard from them. I had Beckwith come out and clean my kitchen floor Tile & Grout. The kitchen is the main entrance into my house, and the tile/grout are white (well, they were white back when they were installed). You can imagine how dirty they got, and no matter how hard I tried to clean it, it just didn't come out. Beckwith did an amazing job! The tile & grout are back to being white again! I scheduled my cleaning a week out and on the day of the gentleman calls me to say he is running a little early and can be there in 20 minutes. I informed him it was going to take me 40 minutes or so to get to the house which was not a problem for him at all. I arrived and gave a call and 5 minutes later Mike was there ready to work. Really cool guy that detailed what he was doing and why. He also gave me some pointers about keeping a couch clean and what not to do when trying to clean it myself. Wouldn't reccomend. Had these guys come out for carpet cleaning and stain removal which is extra. Rug looked great during and after the clean but once it was dry the stain was still there. I had an appointment for my carpets to be cleaned and nobody showed for the appointment. I called first thing that morning to confirm and spoke with someone who said they'd be there between 1-3, however, they did not show up and I haven't heard from anyone since. Prior to making the appointment, I left 4 phone voicemails and 3 emails, very poor customer service, I finally got through when someone answered the phone. This was a Groupon or else I wouldn't have made such an effort otherwise. Groupon was great, I made them aware and they issued a full refund without delay. read more

With having dogs, I've personally never been a big fan of carpets (well except for winter when it feels great on your feet =). I'm a bit of a neat freak. First we tried to rent a steam cleaner on our own but weren't pleased with the result. Next we decided to try a professional solution and went with Beckwith based on their reviews and being a local small business. The carpets came out amazing. The difference was night and day and I only regret wasting the money trying to do it myself before going to a professional. While I imagine there a lot of options for carpet cleaning Beckwith was professional, on time, and exceeded our expectations and will use them again when the need arises (most likely after we get our next puppy :) read more

I brought an upholstered chair in to be cleaned. I was told next week it would be ready. After many messages and phone calls, I even stopped in once a week to try and pick my chair up. (No one is there during posted business hours). 1 month later Brian called me and told me I could come pick it up. I was shocked when I saw my chair, it looked like it had been cleaned in rust water. It had wavy streaks and it was completely faded in color. Brian agreed something had gone wrong I told him I had no use for the chair and he could keep it. I told him I would like 1/2 my money refunded $20. which I thought was beyond fair. He said he'd give me full refund $40. that was 3 weeks ago... I have left a messages reminding him of his promise. Once again not even the courtesy of a return call. Needless to say I'm beyond disappointed and would not recommend anyone use this company for any purpose, Brian is not honorable or true to his word. I have a small business - 700 sq.ft of easier -than-a-home-cleaning layout, with direct access from the sidewalk parking. We have very little foot traffic on the original carpet since we use area rugs over them. I purchased the $69 groupon deal for 3rooms (of under 900sq.ft) and called Beckwith. Ofcourse their business quote right away jumped up to $150 MINIMUM base price although on all accounts I explained that the space is easier to clean than a home (floors are free of furniture, very little foot traffic on carpet, smaller overall area). So I gather their groupon deal is just an ad gimmick... almost no one will get by without ad-ons. I've updated from a 1star rating, but hope that they would improve the service to match. read more

The rugs look amazing especially the beige rug in the second bedroom. It looks brand new. I definitely will call them again. I found Beckwith on Yelp and given the mostly positive reviews, I gave them a call. They allowed me to use the discount, which was helpful. I had a basement wall to wall carpet cleaned as well as a large sectional couch. The gentleman I dealt with on the phone (Brian, I believe) was courteous and helpful. We had a few back and forth phone calls regarding scheduling (due to changes on my end) and he always got back to me right away. The 2 men who came to do the service were prompt, friendly and efficient. They were careful with the equipment and did a quick but thorough job. Had a great experience with Beckwith. Got a really good deal on Groupon, had them come in to do a simple steam clean of the two carpeted bedrooms at our apartment complex. Brian Barrett called and informed us that he couldn't make the time window they initially gave us, but it was no problem for us at all. He was able to bring the van up nice and close through the back so that we wouldn't have to pay for additional setup charges, and finished the job in an efficient and speedy manner. We had a Groupon for 3 rooms to be cleaned and added an area rug and a set of stairs. Brian was prompt on arriving and did a great job. I appreciated that he introduced himself to both myself and my husband. He did a great job cleaning the carpets. He also suggested what to use on spots rather than commercial cleaning products. He told me up front how long the cleaning would take and how long it would take to dry. I have always used another, bigger carpet cleaner. This was our first time using Beckwith Pro-Clean. The company was recommended to us, the price was reasonable and had overall good reviews. As others mention, they were easy to work with when scheduling the appointment and the Brian the technician was on-time and a hard worker. The problem is the amount of water used and a leaking hose connection which caused a significant amount of water to pool on our hard wood floor damaging the flooring (This was not just over spray). The amount of water was significant enough I needed to provided and use multiple bath towels to soak up the water. The technician was trying to soak up the water with the equipment but even that was more than a challenge. On 6/10/17, day of service I called the company and left a message to discuss the situation with the expectation they will return my call, evaluate the damage and provide a remedy. Yes, they do a good job cleaning rugs but as far as their customer service goes, there is none. I had rugs cleaned last year and thought it odd that I was not given a pick up date, and when I called I was told 'they should be ready', seemed like I was imposing with my inquiry as to the readiness of my rugs. But I gave them another shot this year and sure enough the same thing. I wanted my rug back for a graduation, again I was not given pick up date. I called a couple of times, each time getting an answering machine. I didn't leave a message planning to call back. Finally I did leave a message but did not get a return call. I finally spoke to someone that acknowledged hearing my message but he told me they do not make calls. In the end, as he would be in and out all day and could not even give me a time that I could pick up the rug (except right at the time we were talking), I did not have my rug for the graduation. I told the gentleman at the time of the call that I felt he had a poor customer service attitude, so if he reads this review he should not be surprised to see this. As I live within 5 miles of this establishment, it was very convenient to do business with them, but the convenience is not worth the way this business treats its customers. read more

On July 24,2014 I used their services to clean 3 rooms. a couch, a chair and steps for a ending price of 244.00. It started out @ 129 via Groupon. After the addition for the cleaning of the chair steps and for additional work on high traffic areas that is where the 244 price came in. No complaints with Mark who did the work. read more

I hired Beckwith Pro Clean using a deal from Angie's List of 3 rooms of carpet cleaning for $99. I ended up paying $179 when they charged me an extra $79 to do the stairs instead of a 3rd room. Other than that, they did a great job just wish they were more willing to work with me on the stairs. read more
