Oprah would ask "what do you know for sure?" and I would reply "Kansas City has some of the finest florist around and Beco Flowers in one of the reasons why!". Ok ok, I hope I would have a better answer if the Big O ever personally asked me that question, but for the sake of this review, that is my answer. I have seen several of their arrangements sent to friends or co-workers in the past and have always been in awe of the style and beauty of their work. I find it extremely important to utilize the talent of some of our best florists in town when sending an arrangement to a loved one. There is artistic skill and quality of work (and product) that stands above the average tele-floral or supermarket florist that I think is worth the price that you pay. I have also walked by Beco's storefront on many a First Fridays and have always loved looking through the windows into their lovely showroom floor. When the occasion called for me to order an arrangement recently, I was happy to give them a try. I was thrilled to walk through the doors to find two big hairy lovers walking the floor and greeting me. No, not the sales associate but two big o dogs, I'm a sucker for dogs in the work place so that was a big bonus for me. The showroom floor isn't packed with much retail merchandise, but is just a nice visual display room that doubles as a small art gallery. Really nice touch since they are in the Crossroads. They pulled my arrangement up to the counter and it was beautiful, appropriate and worth every penny. They did all the flowers as well as organizing all the tents and tables, etc. so I didn't have to worry about a thing. Much to my surprise, the woman at Beco said that would be no problem, so I gave her my budget and she went off to work her magic. Beco flowers (Becky) did my flowers for my wedding three weeks ago. She did an AMAZING job and everyone loved them! We had three different types of arrangements and Becky knew exactly what I wanted and came up with phenomenal suggestions. The only reason why I'm giving 4 stars and not five is because there was some miscommunication between my mom and the clean-up crew from Beco... somehow all of our remaining flowers got taken back to their shop instead of being left for my family to take home (since we paid for them)! Becky ended up delivering them to our house the next day since we clearly wanted to keep them. We also were a little disappointed in the mothers and grandmothers corsages (just not the colors we expected). We got a refund for the corsages, which remedied the situation. All in all we had a great experience and will be using Beco again. read more

Becky and her crew from BECO did both of my daughter's weddings this past year. My first daughter was married Dec 4, 2015. I still remember seeing the venue for the first time the day of the wedding. I couldn't stop walking around the chapel and the reception site. The details were amazing and there were so many added touches that we had not even asked for. There were flowers, candles, greenery and gorgeous wreaths in every perfect spot, including the bar, photo booth area, etc. It was amazing and so much more than we had expected!! This Dec 30th, 2016. when my second daughter was married, there was no doubt which florist we would choose. Again, we were blown away. I could not believe the beautiful details. This was a smaller event, but it was obvious Becky wanted to make sure it was just as beautiful. As we were getting our hair and makeup done in the dressing room, we could already smell the fresh greenery and flowers. After we were all ready, we spent time just sitting in front of the area where they were to be married to take everything in.!! What a gift this group of women were to our family. Beco Flowers has some of the most beautiful arrangements I've ever seen. I am a busy carpenter, and it is such a relief that they can usually fit in a single bouquet in their busy order schedule. Being a busy carpenter didn't afford me the time to clean up when i needed flowers in the middle of the afternoon, so I was still in work clothes when I stopped by to pick them up. When I got there, one of their delivery drivers was standing around waiting to pick up an order, and looked me up and down. He then proceeded to ask me, "you getting flowers?" to which I said "yes." "you know they're real expensive here, don't ya?" I could not believe this guy was judging me. I said, "Oh yeah, don't worry i'm alright." and he finally said, "okay, just making sure you know that." My daughter was married in June 2011. The venue she used notified us they were not able to get her linen color three days before her wedding. Everything had been perfectly matched to the linen color.
