I ordered two sheet sets for same day delivery (actually next day because it was after the cut-off time), cost $270. I received the notice that the order had been delivered, but there was no picture of the item by the door, which is standard practice for delivery services. When I checked, the package was not there, or anywhere else I looked. I called the delivery service to contact the driver to see if he left it somewhere I did not think to look. They said efforts to call him were going straight to voice mail and I should contact Bed, Bath and Beyond about a refund or replacement. I contacted them by phone and was told someone would get in touch with me to reschedule the delivery. Six days later someone did call and set up another delivery. I received the notice that the driver was on his way, but shortly afterward I got a text saying the delivery had been modified or cancelled by the sender. When I called to check on the situation, they told me Bed, Bath and Beyond had changed the order to require a signature and it would be delivered later. Two days later I have still not heard anything further. These sheets were supposed to be a birthday present. I gave up on Bed, Bath and Beyond, went to Macy's, bought sheets there and mailed them off so they would arrive in time for the birthday. I now have no use for the sheets, even if they do deliver them someday. I will never do business with Bed, Bath and Beyond again! read more

Oh My god. I love this store but I will travel to the Addison location to avoid the cashiers/managers at this location. The department workers are wonderful. It's when it's time to check out that you get to these trolls. I don't know if they hate their jobs/pay or hell maybe both. But these people are the worse. It's like their job is to show you how much they hate their job. There's this flamboyant black man that just likes to rain on your parade. A friend and I were returning some unused items and the lady taking care of this transaction was cold and spoke to us as if she was talking to a wall. The manager there is impotent. Instead of wrapping up any transaction with simple human kindness, they make you feel like you are in their way of them standing around and interrupting their gabbing. They need a new manager, because that man doesn't give a shit because his attitude is the same as theirs. Too bad for leaving a lasting impression that would make Me want to come back and spend. My husband and I were there to buy the remaining items off our registry. I'm pregnant and needed to sit down for a second and the only place I could find were the mock beds. While sitting there, I was reviewing our registry to see what we wanted to get. A man walked up and asked if we needed anything. We said no. He asked us again if we needed help finding anything and we said we were reviewing our registry. He very loudly told me to not sit on the bed then. There were multiple customers around and they all looked at us. I've worked in retail and have had to ask people to stop doing something that was against policy before. I never made them feel not welcomed in my store nor was I loudly rude to them while doing so. I don't mind him asking us to stand up; I mind how he asked. Completely unacceptable. read more

I love this company. I love how neat and organized they keep everything. I love how employees will actually SAY HELLO as you pass them on the sales floor. Sometimes they even ask "can I help you find something!" I mean, where can you shop today where people are friendly and consistently helpful ? The cashier today (named CAROL) was friendly and chatty. The store was packed with people and great products. It's also clean. However, the cashiers are zoned out. They aren't mentally present. Their niceties aren't genuine. They are empty. I love that this location has a bath & beauty product section AND a whole aisle full of travel sized toiletries. As a beauty enthusiast, BB&B is one of the only places to find certain limited edition items & newly released collections. On our last trip, we purchased a sonicare kit with 2 toothbrushes (with a mail in rebate + 20% off coupon!). We also happened to come across an awesome humidifier. The products are also pretty easy to compare with ratings if you scan the bar codes through the Amazon app - the most expensive products aren't necessarily the best quality. The only con I have for this place is it's not the most convenient regarding the location, getting in & out of the store & parking lot + amount of people (and unsupervised kids). read more

75% of the employes I've dealt with at this store are rude, dismissive, ignore you, won't make eye contact with customers, or are not informed enough of the products to be helpful. Now, I have had about 4 employees since I've been coming here (at least 3 yrs now) who are very kind, well-informed, and who know how to provide great customer service, but this does not seem to be the norm. This store is in serious need of an "improving customer service re-haul." If it were not due to the location near my house and coupons, I would not shop here. As it is, I try to avoid it by going to other stores when I can. Just bought a $300 vacuum today and while I was standing in line waiting for them to go get it (I had it on hold), the guy behind the customer service desk was shouting at myself and other customers like we were cattle that needed to be herded with "hey lady in the orange shirt, are you ready?!" And when she seemed confused of whether or not he was talking to her, he said again with attitude, "Well? Are you ready?!" He shouted at me that I could go to another line to get helped and I told him someone was already helping me. He then shouted again with attitude, "go ahead and go to the other line, they do exactly the same thing that we do!" I again firmly told him I was being helped. Before my fiance and I got engaged, we knew that when we did, we would be coming to this BBB location for our wedding registry. Why? Because of Dave, who works in the pots and pans (and knives) department. Just look for the man with a flat top hair cut and a mustache and you have found your man. Never have we met someone that knows so much about their products. We originally met Dave when we had issues with out pots and pans and brought them in. He gladly exchanged them for us and then helped us pick out a new set. When we finally registered, he walked around the store showing us all of his "must haves"--this will sound dramatic but I felt like Oprah was showing me her must have's. He is just so knowledgeable, explains you the history of the company, why a certain knife cuts they way it does, why a knife is too necessarily sharp, why a specific attachment is necessary--I could go on and on. My fiance loved the whole process because he actually felt like he was learning something as we shopped. We went to BBB, C&B, and Pottery Barn for wedding registry purposes. The BBB website is by far easiest to use. We liked using their app better to scan things rather than the "scanner". We love their return policy and that they will take expired paper coupons. Also if you email customer service, they will send you a list of who has gotten you what on your registry, this is very helpful when it comes to thank you notes. I am an avid BB&B shopper. I love everything about this chain and I have for years. However, I recently experienced the absolute rudest, disrespectful cashier that I have ever experienced- ANYWHERE. I finished shopping and went to the front with all of my purchases. When I got to the front, the coupon that they had emailed to me would not load. I explained this the the cashier and she told me that it was not her problem. She then proceeded to throw several 20% off coupons in the trash. I asked her if she could just scan one of those and she said "uh, NO, these belong to other customers." She then turned to another cashier and said under her breath "I don't know who she thinks she is." I had been nothing but nice to this woman. What an awful human being. Hey, it's BB&B, and we've all pretty much been to at least one in our lifetime. I'm not sure what has happened to BB&B. I used to love going and just browsing for items. However, I think their focus is changing more to the "Beyond" part of their name. This location is HUGE, yet somehow, they are constantly cramped. It is impossible to navigate the store with a cart, so I'm not sure what the point is there - do you not want me to load up on stuff? Because your'e seriously discouraging me here. In fact, it's practically impossible to navigate this store unless you are the only person shopping in it. That being said, the staff is friendly and usually helpful and try to stay out of your way when navigating the crazily-stuffed store. And they have stock of everything, as far as I've seen. It's a give-and-take. And you had better bring your 20% coupon, because everything in the store really is marked up 20% (or more) from what other retailers offer as standard prices. I refuse to shop here without the coupon. Come to think on it, maybe I should reconsider shopping there at all, then. read more

This is a solid Bed Bath & Beyond location. Actually, it has more products than any BBB I have ever seen, besides the enormous one in my neighborhood on the Upper West Side in Manhattan. The staff here are happy to help out and are fairly knowledgable about their store. It's clean, easy to find parking, and not far from other shopping areas, which makes it convenient. We have been twice in the last week for different needs and were able to find everything we needed. I selfishly wish they had a better Christmas clearance section, but I guess we can't win at everything! read more

Please understand, I am a BBB fan. I shop here often and purchase most of my kitchen products from them. I have been shopping and researching air fryers for several weeks now. I had decides to purchase the NuWave brand because of the reviews in Consumer Reports. I wanted the 3 qt size because I have a small kitchen. I went into BBB about 3 weeks ago because they had it in sale for $79.99 instead of $99.99. I picked up what I thought was the 3 qt size and proceeded to the checkout. When I checkout to my dismay it was the 6 qt size for $149.99. They were out of the 3 qt. I left and came back tonight and was pleased to find that they were in stock and the price was $79.99 still. I checked out and gave them my latest coupon but also had a $10.00's off coupon. The lady who checked me out suggested that I use my 20% off coupon as it would be more that just $10.00. It pleases me when I have sales clerks help me to get my best buy and that's one reason I shop at BBB because this often happens. I paid with my card and left. Once I got home I reviewed my ticket because I remembered she said that would be 80 something dollars and it just didn't register in the store. Sure enough, they had charged me $99.99 and used the 20% coupon which reduced the price to $79.99. So I called the Store and a manger, Misty, told me it was miss makes and that was the price. I said, but we always get the additional coupon reduction on most sale items. If the sale price and the coupon couldn't be used at the same time then why didn't she just charge me the sale price and give me back my coupon. At that point she became very insistant that it was not on sale, that it was missed priced and would even listen to my point. I was getting upset because she was talking over me and treating me like I was just someone trying to get something over on the store. I said thank you, I will be in the next day so I can make sure I know who I'm talking to. I doubt it was Misty. I understand that they might not take both reductions but to insist that I was wrong and I didn't see a sale sign or that it was there by mistake says that I'm an idiot customer In her mind. I hope I get a better explanation tomorrow but irrespective of the explanation, customer care should not be a combat situation and the "Mistys" of the world should not be dealing with the public. Be assured, I still believe in BBB and have enjoyed shopping there for years but I feel that I could have been dealt with in a better way. I do hope that Misty is not a real manager but someone working there shouldn't be allowed to talk with customers. read more

This is in regards to Barbara at your customer service desk, I received a keurig carousel for pods as a gift from a neighbor but there was no receipt or gift receipt. I didn't keep the keurig that I bought myself so I went to return the carousel for what I knew would be store credit. I went to a young lady's line and I guess she was new so she asked this Barbara woman about what to do.. according to Barbara I must have stolen it or something. First she said they couldn't return it without any receipt and I explained what had happened and I knew it would be store credit and that was fine. She proceeds to say very loudly in front of other customers 'well this carousel was part of a gift with purchase item but I can't prove it' ... ummm excuse me? I went to the manager and told them I don't appreciate being accused of dishonesty and because I'm dressed kinda grubby because it's my DAY OFF doesn't mean I don't deserve the same respect any other of the bougie looking people that go in there. The floor personnel were very helpful but the cashier was rude. He frowned and looked at me in an annoyed way after the customer in front of me walked away. He used a rude tone to talk to me and when I tried to swipe my card he snapped that it didn't work and to swipe another one. He claimed it didn't work either and thinking about it later I wonder if he was doing something since his attitude was so hateful. I tried a card as a debit and it instantly went through. I could see it on the machine I used but I could not see what he was looking at when he said the others did not go through. Checked cards there is nothing wrong with them. There was no reason for them to be declined. If I have sudden charges on my cards I know who I will suspect first! Will not be going back to this location if this is the type of customer service they have when checking out. I would say checker was college age and apparently had not been taught manners.
