I've gone to this store's location for years, and I recently placed 2 online orders for pickup - about 2 weeks apart. First time - they had my order, but there was an issue with processing it, so they couldn't give me a receipt. I chalked it up to bad luck. Second time - I recognized the same guy who brought out my pickup order, so I asked him about my order. As he's looking it up, the store apparently opened up another register, and he says: "while you're talking to me, the guy at the register over there is waving you over." I had 2 other items to buy, so I shrugged it off. Although he seemed abrupt, I went to the other register and figured that guy would get me me my pickup order. Well, while talking to the new guy, the first guy brings over my order. I look in the bag - one of the boxes was cut by a box opener and the other box had been opened and the product was coming out of it. I knew where the stock was on the shelves, so I went to get replacements. Surprise - The remaining stock was pristine. Strange that whoever filled my order picked missed that! When I'm finally ringing up other items, and trying to use my coupons, the same rude guys says that they won't work on one of the items - it didn't qualify. I said, "well, let's just try it." Well - he's rude again. He barks out "phone number." As I start to rattle it off, he says, "no, you need to enter it over there," and points to the credit card machine. He barks out the total, and I ask, "did both items get the discount?" Then and only then did he say that they did. I've been to this store's location many times over the years, but now I will avoid it. If I need to shop or do a pickup order, I'll go elsewhere. Pity that some of the salespeople (or he might even be a manager) have such a bad attitude. read more

I went here for everything I needed after a bathroom I had remodeled and I had well over 250.00 in merchandise but I forgot my 20% off 1 item at home. I asked the cashier about it and she said you would have to ask the manager who is right over there pointing to her and there she was with what looked like maybe regional managers and they were talking. I told her i left my coupon for 1 item at home and she said she could do nothing. I said well if you cant do that here is this whole basket of stuff you and your managers can put back in stock. No wonder they are having problems and getting ready to go out of business. Her and those other managers will be in the unemployment line soon. read more

I like the store and the people are very helpful. I bought 4 chairs today and after I paid noticed some rust on them. I'm not very picky and just loaded them on my car and took off. Tonight I'm looking at them and for $50.00 per chair I'm thinking I should have returned them. Rust at every bolt and weld connection. O well read more

We have been trying to change our shipment address for 2 days now. First time my wife spent an hour waiting on the phone and when connected the agent said no problem and assured her it was done. Today we checked and it had not been done I. Then waited for two hours to connect again being told it would be done only to again have it not done. Now we are waiting on a text which originally said the wait time would be one hour 50 minutes. After one hour and fifty minutes the next text said the would be 2 hours and 5 minutes. I have never experienced such poor customer service. I will never shop online with Bed Bath and Beyond again. What a disaster. I get it it's Covid but how do you not prepare for a surge in online sales. Now have been on hold for 2 hours when they said it would be 30 min. Been on text since 3pm. It's now 941pm. They just cut me off after having waited 2 hours. It gets worse. After being on hold for 2 hours the line dropped out!! Literally the worst store, outside of Eatontown Lowe's in NJ. Coffee urn basically caught fire, returned it 12/23 and they refused to use the 20% coupon I used to buy it, so wanted full price for a new one but they were sold out. Refused to give $ back, only store credit because my wife bought it on her card which is linked to mine, but still not good. Store credit for a chain that's going out of business is never a good thing. Customer service is awful, who can blame them though, probably looking for a new job. read more

I have not been to one of these stores in a long time but I had a gift card. I actually don't remember this place being so good. They have a lot of cool stuff. And a good amount of kitchen appliances and some cool kitchen gadgets. The selection is better then target and Walmart. The prices are OK about the same as other stores around. read more

I'm not a frequent customer at this Eatontown Bed Bath and Beyond and it's unlikely I will ever be back. Without exception, each visit, including today, has been soiled by a very obvious case of poor management and understaffing. Having no staff available to consult with is a common retail shopping fault but the worst offense is the unreasonable checkout time due to only one register open for about twenty customers. The associate operating the only open checkout lane spent an excessive amount of time sharing his personal life story while the number of waiting customers continued to increase. Finally a second register opened after a twenty minute wait. With the growing competition to retailers from internet sales, ruining the in-store experience is not a smart strategy. read more

My sister went here just today and tried to use a 30% coupon for friends of members only, given to her by another associate in her hometown but since she was visiting her boyfriend, she had to go to Eatontown store and what a mistake that was. The associate Cecilla with purple hair might I add , questioned my sister 3 times where she received this coupon because she did not believe her and said she can't use it since the associate who gave this to her is not with her. Then she refused to give it back. The interaction was quite disappointing because Cecilla's reason to look at my sister in such a light goes beyond the coupon, it was her skin color. What makes this worse is another Caucasian lady customer decided to put her nose in a situation that does not belong and yelled "she said she can't give you the coupon, what don't you understand." At this point, my sister said "have nice day" and left without a fight. If I could give this place -100 stars I would. Please be careful going in, you might be shopping for appliances but leave with a touch of racism. read more

May I just say I had a totally unpleasant experience at the Bed Bath & Beyond in Eatontown and I can promise you I will never return again. Horrible customer service is an understatement. I had purchased an item from this store Friday late afternoon and had forgotten my 20% off coupon at home. I saw signs for signing up for the text message coupons so I did and it said I would receive confirmation. I was coming home from work Saturday afternoon and decided to stop by on my way home since its on the way. I hadn't received a confirmation yet so I looked up on my phone bed bath and beyond coupons. I walked into the store and got nastily called over by a woman to the register. I told her what happened and she rudely said "these aren't our coupons", I looked at her and told her how I signed up for the text and she got smart with me asking why I didn't get the confirmation then. She then called over Miriam who I'm guessing was the manager and she couldn't have been less accommodating and friendly. I asked her if she remembered me from the day before and she recalled. I continued to tell her about my situation and she responded by barking "no, no, no!" in my face. She was no help at all. I also explained how it was for a gift and how much of an inconvenience it would be to drive all the way back to my home. She didn't care while she stood next to the trash cans of coupons behind the register. For someone who has worked in retail and basically every other jobs I can guarantee how Miriam handled her customer with a nasty tone and raising her voice no business would be happy to hear about this. I honestly almost left the store crying I was so shaken up. I can promise you I will never be returning to this store again. read more
