This time was no exception and I received exactly the personalized service I've come to expect from this store. This is a seemingly small store that is larger than anticipated because it extends far beyond what can be seen from the parking lot. Most importantly, it has the best customer service of any home improvement store I've ever experienced. I have been given great guidance in the past with paint and cabinet pulls. This time I was in need of wire to keep a wooden fence closed shut, as the gate would frequently open due to weather conditions or kids having fun. My concern was keeping the fence gate closed so we could let our dog out in the yard without concerns about her escaping from an open gate. Andrew listened to me carefully and helped me through the whole process of selecting wire and a lock to ensure my dog would be safe. I really appreciated that he was professional, practical and helpful. Thank you Andrew! I truly love this store and find the customer service far superior to what you would encounter at one of the major big box home improvement stores. I have also found their prices to be fair. Highly recommend!!

Recently stopped in after they took over and shopped several items I was interested in - 1/4" plastic compression valve was $14.99, almost double price at Homies. spark plugs I used to get for $2.79 are now $4.89, 6" Crescent adjustable wrench $24.99 - usually $15 or less anywhere else. Even a simple foam gardening kneeling pad was nearly 20 bucks for something that looks like it would be sold at a dollar store! Local hardware stores have always been a treasure, in my opinion, but these huge prices hikes make it much harder to shop here - unless it's an emergency or something small like a random nut or bolt.

Took a snowblower and a blower in there for service and tune up. I was called about my blower and…read morewas told it is over 10 years old they just pulled the cord once and said they did not open it because it was not worth fixing. I understand that, but I paid $35.00 for the blower and $35.00 for the snowblower to just get checked out for a total of $70.00 for the pair. So when I went to pick up the snowblower I told them since the blower was junk and they really did not do any diagnosis to it they should credit the $35.00 for the blower to the cost of the snowblower. They refused to do it and said they still consider it has a diagnosis even thought they did not do anything except pull the cord once. So Fred Pro Hardware just lost a loyal customer... over $35.00.

The salesman was very helpful in choosing the right floor and I was told when an upcoming sale…read morewould be. The flooring arrived in sooner than quoted. I was concerned about the installer based on reviews but I guess they switched contractors recently. The one I had completed the house in a day, came at 8 am as promised, and worked all day hardly taking a break. They cleaned up well after themselves, was careful moving furniture, and made sure I was happy with it before leaving. The flooring looks great and the house is completely different now, in a good way!
