I'm going to miss this BB&B. It use to be my go to when I lived in STL. Hell, I'm going to miss BB&B period. I've moved to the IL side of the river and the closest one to me is going to be in Fairview Heights. I may just have to make the drive. Any way, I was over in the city and since I had a pocket full of BB&B coupons, I thought I'd swing by and pick up a few things for the new house. Toilet brushes are one thing that I have always tossed and start with a new one in a new home. Having two bathrooms, with different finishes, I grabbed a chrome and nickel finished brushes. I donated my old two slice toaster to my work, so I was in need of a new toaster for home. I upgraded myself to a four slicer with setting for bagels, toast, english muffins, waffles and pastry. Look out Pop-Tarts you've got your own setting on my toaster. I may live alone, but I figure with family near by, I'll be entertaining for breakfast and brunch in the near future. The associates here are always friendly and check on you regularly as you shop. They want to make sure you are finding everything you need and perhaps really do need, but want. I also, always have to give a thumbs up to the cashiers who make sure you've got your "coupon". Will I return? - I like them so much, I'll be making the drive. WOW! What an amazing thing! We arrived at closing becuz we thought it was an hour later. Walked in and immediately walked out. Upon our departure we were intercepted! What were you ladies looking for?!? We had come for a certain product and were welcomed back in the store-At closing time! We don't visit this store often but came by over the weekend looking for an umbrella. Joe dropped what he was doing to help us and he even took us to his computer in the office to compare what was available online with what was in store. We ordered it online with him from the office and it's being delivered free to our home. Joe went above and beyond what most retail people would do nowadays; unbelievably good service Joe! I haven't been a BB&B customer, but I am after today. My aunt bought me a Keekaroo (read: expensive) high chair from BB&B for my baby shower 7 months ago--but my baby girl came almost a month early, so let's just say checking to make sure I received the right color high chair before she could even use one was the last thing on my mind. Until she needed a high chair! I began to unpackage it until I realized it was the wrong color (a color I CAN'T STAND on wood). I tried calling BB&B, only to get the run-around by people I could barely understand. They tried telling me that, despite being a new mother, I should have done something about their mistake sooner... despite it being *their* mistake. So I marched into the Sunset Hills BB&B feeling pretty indignant and ready to put up a fight. But Joe's friendly and kind demeanor was disarming. He empathized with my situation, and had everything ironed out and the correct high chair ordered within 10 minutes. I couldn't believe it!! I spent 40+ minutes on the phone the day before with people who said they couldn't do anything and couldn't have cared less. I'm in a really stressful season of life, and the fact that he made that part of my day so easy meant a lot. And just like that, BB&B is now on my radar for places to shop. read more

I love Bed Bath and Beyond. This store is the TERVIS Mecca store. Tervis items galore. Coupon's...here is the deal. Bed Bath and Beyond takes expired coupons, like really expired, they will honor coupons from years ago. They also let you use more than one when checking out. Bring a whole stack of coupons and use one on each item. Looking for something not on the shelf? A BB&B sales associate can order it online with free shipping if you are in the store. They waive the shipping fee if the item is not in stock on the shelf. BB&B sets the mark for customer service if you ask me. Easy, no questions asked returns. Sales associates in every department Buying a Shower or Wedding Gift? The sales team will help you with the registry. After you check out stop by the self-serve gift wrap counter and get the boxes, wrapping paper, bags you need. I recognize that BB&B is not the place to go for low prices. One of the reasons for that is the level of service I can get there. I recently bought a coffee table on line and, in the process, fouled up. I bought a flat sided table by mistake. So I returned it at theSunset Hills store. Got the refund quickly & the young lady asked me if I would like to reorder there at the store. A lady named Abbey helped me. The order was correctly placed in 5 minutes! Bed Bath and Beyond is a great store for all your home needs. From kitchen equipment to bed room supplies to finding some decorative pieces to spruce up your home with, you cannot go wrong here. My only main complaint is the fact that this particular location seems to be a little too claustrophobic for my taste. I understand, most of them tend to be that way but it might be the arrangement or where items are located at that makes this location worst. The employees are certainly helpful but don't come in during the weekend if you can help it. There will be massive craziness! I am fortunate enough not to have to come in during the weekend but on my most recent visit, I had to. I have been looking online for curtain rods for the large windows in the new home and BB&B have the best options and prices. Not to mention, this place is probably around 2 minutes from the house. I successfully picked out 2 different sizes of double rods but they did not have the end pieces in the matching color in stock at the store. That was unfortunate but the wonderful sales associate looked it up to find they have some in Brentwood. She also offered to order it online but that, I can do just as easily and in the comfort of my own home. Their items are reasonably priced and who can refuse a 20% off coupon that you randomly get in the mail? I love a good bargain and this place has some awesome sales as well. Now I know what you're thinking, Bed Bath & Beyond is not the 1st place you think of when one needs a car phone charger. Well, I on the other hand saw a chance to save some money and decided this was the spot for me. Wrong Wrong!!!!... Ok I copped the phone charger and it lasted about a week. The store let me exchange for another one but this one didn't even charge the phone. I mean I had the right voltage and everything. I don't know what it is with this store and their electric products. My fiancé and I recently visited this BB&B in order to register for gifts for our upcoming wedding. We had an appointment on a bustling Saturday afternoon with Joe. We know nothing of fine china or what the difference between stainless steel and triply is or hell, what placemats matched with what plates. Joe guided us through everything. He was very patient, friendly, and knowledgeable. We spent our first hour and a half sifting through pages and pages of fine china, flatware, and glassware. He explained to us what we needed, differences between kinds, and helped us pare down to what we liked. This was especially helpful because we really needed the guidance in this department. I felt a little indecisive, but he was patient throughout the whole process. His approach to guiding us was really helpful and made it easier to decide too! Then was the fun part...we took the scan gun and walked the store. Joe accompanied us. I saw mixed reviews about BB&B with pushy salespeople and what not. Joe did not pressure us or tell us to register for any specific thing. He did explain differences, offered his opinion, and suggestions, but never pressured or anything. He let us roam areas by ourselves it we preferred, but we liked having his expertise and guidance. I bumped BB&B to 4 stars because they don't have the physical fine china at this location. You have to go to the store in Brentwood or Ballwin. We set up another appointment to see the china in person there, though again it would be convenient if it was all at one (or if I knew it advance so I could visit the other location in the first place). Also, their registry area is pretty small and basic. It would be nice if it were a bit more spacious with some ambiance. All in all, we had a wonderful experience! We did Macy's & Crate & Barrel, but certainly neither came close to the amount of guidance and support as BB&B. Only reason I gave 5 stars is they honored the price on a sticker. I got a Kitchen Aid mixer shield for $1.99 the price on the sticker. The other boxes said $19.99. They do have just about anything you could want for your bed or your bath. They just need To spread things out a bit...... And I agree with other reviews, take your 20% off coupon! Because my friend worked at BBB for years, and was treated HORRIBLY and basically demeaned and verbally abused, I stopped shopping there. I decided to go back on Sunday for one item. I took the usual 20% off coupon, but the manager wouldn't accept it because it was expired. I know for a fact that they CAN and often do honor them. I went here to get a Wusthoff knife that was on sale. They were out at the Brentwood location. When I called the lady was super nice about checking to make sure they actually had it. She put it on hold for me. I got there and it was a little busy at the customer service desk. I found it odds items on hold are not at the desk but instead in another room somewhere. I returned at item to the store (with the receipt) that I'd purchased online and didn't like when I received it. I'd paid 50.00 for the item, using a $10 gift card toward it, and paid the balance of 40.00 with paypal. But my Sunset Hills store credited the full 50.00 to my paypal instead of giving me another gift card as credit I'd need to spend at BB&B. I did not expect that, and it was very nice. I've had other good customer service experiences there, esp. by the manager. I don't know his name. Tall nice looking man, very friendly. This place is a cheaper version of the Container Store & a slightly higher end version of Wal-Mart. This place will give you great ideas on organizing your stuff. The one thing I wasn't happy about was not having a coconut grater. You know the one where it looks like mixer beaters clamped down onto a board. Yeah, not there. There are good ideas to be found here. Just not great designs. Case in point, a $25 under the sink organizer. Looks good, but once you put it together & expand it to the desired length there isn't enough of the supplied shelves. Bad bad bad design. Return. Very helpful employees. I still prefer the Container Store, but will settle for this place that is closer to home. read more

BBB is seemingly a necessarily evil. It has lots of neat stuff for your house, but if you are anything that resembles a budget, it will generally shatter it to pieces. Just went to this location to do a return. Waited in line for the service desk. I was next up when they sent me to the regular line. That lady, although she was super nice, couldn't figure out how to do the return. I then waited for the original lady to come help her. She couldn't help, sent me to ANOTHER line to wait in. (3rd line). This lady, also super nice, couldn't help either. Had to call a manager (Chris I think). He was super annoyed to be pulled out to help. Very rude to me, told me I was outa luck and to call the manufacturer. THIRTY MINUTES I spent to try to return a coffee pot that was leaking water all over my counter. I showed the manager the many many one star reviews on bed bath and beyonds web site of customers with the exact same issue. He wouldn't even look. The lady who's line I was in felt so bad. She apologized many many times. This store needs to realize that customer service is the only thing keeping many people shopping there over amazon.
