Could not locate my salesperson (said he was there) and no one else could simply look up the order for me. I wasn't sure of my salesperson's name so I wanted to provide her with some additional context. She said he would call me back and hung up on me. Now I wait for a phone call back.... Growing tired of pathetic customer service and lack of staffing.

I ordered a couch from Ashley Furniture and paid to have it delivered. NOT ONCE did they say they only go up to floor three in an apartment or if it doesn't fit in the elevator, they would return the furniture. A piece of the couch did not fit in the elevator, so the guys tried to take my entire couch back rather than using the stairwell. I called the Ashley Furniture store we bought the couch from and they offered to pay the driver extra money to take the longer piece up the stairs. The driver refused, and proceeded to say he won't take their taxed money, only take cash from customers. I had to kick the guy out of my building because I felt so uncomfortable. I then received a call from Ashley Furniture/Furniture Mart customer care and the lady promised me reimbursement on the delivery and to find a crew to take it up the five flights at no extra cost to me. She told me she would call the next day to reschedule and I missed the call. I call back the customer care team and get an AWFUL dude on the phone telling me I don't get any of my money back, I have to pay for the extra flights of stairs, and I should go buy a smaller couch. I asked to speak to a manager and he REFUSED. His exact words were, "There's nothing a manager can do that I can't do." I hung up on that idiot and called back later to speak with someone else. The lady was very apologetic and promised a Director of the company would call me by end of day tomorrow. NO ONE CALLED. So I then call again and get another sweet lady who is also so sorry this all happened and sent me to a lead. The lead could do absolutely nothing for me so again, I asked for a Manager to call me by the next day. The next day comes and I FINALLY ended up speaking to the director and was still told I had to pay THREE HUNDRED DOLLARS to get my couch up five flights, or buy a smaller couch. THIS COMPANY HAS THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE AND PROMISE YOU THINGS THEY WON'T KEEP!

This store is not on my return list due to them not having any, I repeat ANY, cashiers open. I abhor self checkout for some simple reasons. Primarily putting someone out of work as the self checkouts as they are are only the beginning. Next is that am doing the company's work for them and not getting any tangible benefits. Know am in the minority here but, when an option, ALWAYS spend few extra minutes in long cashier line. BOO ON THIS HOME DEPOT, BOO!

The inventory it keeps is ridiculously low and only the items it can sell at retail price point to rip you off. speciality Items ordered online and delivered to the store is the only way to go, else you are better off going to Menards for anything else you need. Do not bother to "special order" any large quantities of construction materials either, because despite what the "Professionals" desk tells you, items unused cannot be returned to the store even if they are in brand new unused,unopened condition. Total scummy operations this store trys to pull to make profits, shame on you Austin Kramer and the guise that you provide little cards with orders with candy attached to try to show you appreciate business, I as a customer have never felt that way by the "rules" this store operates under, I have never had as horrible an experience working with home depot as I have with this location. Even attempting today to pickup online order from the storefront pickup boxes was met with a power trip employee trying to block me from coming in the store 5 minutes early. Despite allowing all the contractors enter to get shopping I was being blocked from walking 5 ft into the man-trap to just pickup a package via locker and leave, when I asked if I could do that and I had no intention of entering the store I was accused of "Getting pissy" - all I did was ask if I could simply retrieve my package from the locker and leave. I should of just walked off and let the item sit to receive a refund, kinda ridiculous only way I could of gotten what I needed from the store at a fair price was to order it online for delivery anyways. Some Ego employee on a power trip decided it was their priority to provide trash customer service by giving me a rough time with a very reasonable request considering the doors where already open. Just stay away from this place its not worth visiting.. unless of course you need paint. Praise the paint department.
