The only thing worth buying at this home depot is Paint. The older gentleman in the paint department is phenomenal and very knowledgeable. Otherwise this location is horrible. The inventory it keeps is ridiculously low and only the items it can sell at retail price point to rip you off. speciality Items ordered online and delivered to the store is the only way to go, else you are better off going to Menards for anything else you need. Do not bother to "special order" any large quantities of construction materials either, because despite what the "Professionals" desk tells you, items unused cannot be returned to the store even if they are in brand new unused,unopened condition. Total scummy operations this store trys to pull to make profits, shame on you Austin Kramer and the guise that you provide little cards with orders with candy attached to try to show you appreciate business, I as a customer have never felt that way by the "rules" this store operates under, I have never had as horrible an experience working with home depot as I have with this location. Even attempting today to pickup online order from the storefront pickup boxes was met with a power trip employee trying to block me from coming in the store 5 minutes early. Despite allowing all the contractors enter to get shopping I was being blocked from walking 5 ft into the man-trap to just pickup a package via locker and leave, when I asked if I could do that and I had no intention of entering the store I was accused of "Getting pissy" - all I did was ask if I could simply retrieve my package from the locker and leave. I should of just walked off and let the item sit to receive a refund, kinda ridiculous only way I could of gotten what I needed from the store at a fair price was to order it online for delivery anyways. Some Ego employee on a power trip decided it was their priority to provide trash customer service by giving me a rough time with a very reasonable request considering the doors where already open. They have an indoor lumbar yard. Large selection of tools, flooring, garden center and any home improvement items. Prices are average. I am here about once a month. Home Depot is a great company and this store met almost all my expectations. Would've rated this store worse than this if it wasn't due to corporation being great. This store is not on my return list due to them not having any, I repeat ANY, cashiers open. I abhor self checkout for some simple reasons. Primarily putting someone out of work as the self checkouts as they are are only the beginning. Next is that am doing the company's work for them and not getting any tangible benefits. I was also extremely impressed with the customer service of "Luis N." as he was extremely tentative and thorough, and his customer service was impeccable. Last summer my wife and I began looking for a granite contractor to complete an upgrade on our kitchen. I designed and drew out our new island and measured all of our counters. We look at multiple contractor and decided to go with Home Depot in part because of the great deal and secondly because of the backing of Home Depot. This was during the beginning of the pandemic and we knew there would be delays. We ordered the cupboards and I installed them after the 12 week wait. From there, we waited another two month to get the vendor to our house for templating. After templating, we waited another 12 weeks to schedule the install after having zero communication. I had to hound both Home Depot and the vendor to get anything done. We were told after the install that the vendor would call us to schedule measuring for the full backsplash. 5 months later and many, many calls from me to anyone that would listen, the vendor came and measured for the backsplash. Now Home Depot is trying to change the contract and charge me an additional $1,000 and hold my project ransom. My advice is to never use Home Depot for a 3rd party project. They take forever and lack communication and in the end the 'good deal' becomes not so good with surprise add-ons that they don't even communicate. read more

On 4/18/21 my girlfriend and I were paying for our items at the self-checkout counter, when an older woman who worked there began hovering extremely close to us, meticulously checking every item we scanned. When the receipt printed out, she snatched it out of my girlfriend's hand to check over every purchase that was listed. I don't usually toss the word racism around lightly but the man before us in line was white and she didn't do that to him. My girlfriend and I are POC and felt totally disrespected. After the encounter, she didn't even say "Thank you." Also, she wasn't socially distancing. Terrible encounter that left us feeling disheartened. read more

Seems like a multi million dollar company should have a handle on customer service, or maybe that's the issue. I've been trying to get flooring installed for 5 weeks. When you set it up at the store all is well but then they turn it over to a contractor who calls you for installation date. Everything is delivered 3 days prior. No problem. But then there's an issue when they arrive. Long story short. My flooring is still not complete and I'm wondering why I tried to save a few bucks with a company who could care less. If all goes as planned it may have not been an issue but Home Depot is far too busy selling more flooring to the next person and would rather not deal with issues after you pay them. read more

Purchased a bathtub online and picked up at store. They brought it out to my truck and helped load. I should have double checked the numbers. Drove it 2hr to the house we are remodeling to find out they gave me the wrong tub base. I called the store and without me even having to ask, they offered to send a driver with the correct base up the next morning for free. A bad situation was completely rectified by them providing great customer service. Definitely a fan of the Sioux Falls Home Depot now and will be back. I had to give a one as you can't go lower than that. This is not aimed at any particular store but more at the Credit Services which lists it's address as Sioux Falls, SD. DO NOT take advantage of any "No Interest Financing" or any financing for that matter. I have spent THOUSANDS of dollars at Home Depot on flooring in particular but on other things as well. If there were a way to give a negative rating, I would definitely give them a "-5." I wanted to install floor carpets through them and scheduled a measurement taking appointment. Upon receiving a calendar event reminder, I've noticed that they have made a mistake with one of the digits in my phone number. First, I attempted to explain their mistake over the phone, and even made them read the correct phone number several times back to me. I had a gut feeling that the person with who I spoke on the phone had not corrected the phone number on the file. I've printed the appointment reminder and highlighted the wrong phone number on it, and wrote the correct one. Then I paid a visit to the store, and presented the printout to the customer service rep asking to have the number corrected on the file. I've explicitly asked them if the measuring department was going to have the correct phone number. They assured me that the measuring department had access to their system and that they would have the correct phone number. On the day of the appointment, nobody showed up because THEY CALLED THE WRONG NUMBER. After communicating with two managers, the measure taking was re-scheduled for the next day. On the next day, the measurer called and told me that she was not going to come and do the job. She just REFUSED to do the job claiming that the scheduled appointment conflicted with her personal plans. Then again, measure taking was re-scheduled for today, and I just received another phone call from the measurement department saying that they were not going to do the job tonight. Any further comments would be completely redundant. read more
