Ernie has been there for more than a decade, and takes pride in helping his customers find the right match. He was able to work with another couple that came in shopping the same time as I did, diligently going back and forth between us making sure we both were being helped and treated well. Answered countless questions and details before settling on a bed. Ernie was never pushy to close a sale, and spent a good deal of time with me before deciding on a bed. Once I did make a final selection and scheduled delivery, the team with John and Corey was a breeze. They showed up on time, removed my old bed, and set up the new one without haste. The guys made sure everything was set up properly and took away all the packing materials. Will be buying any future needs of a bed here, and would definitely recommend this location to anyone in the market for a new bed!

    BOTTOM LNE:: Apparently, in THIS economy, decision makers for this retailer think lackluster…read moreattention to customers and awkward store access is a good idea. We wondered how they came to that conclusion as we walked out of Mattress Gallery and took our checkbook to visit their competitors. I'm more inclined to ignore the one star worthy vendor rather than invest the time to write a review. But when something is bad enough that I feel compelled to give other Yeeps a "heads up", it becomes worth the time to do the review. So here goes. HERE'S THE WAY TO ALIENATE POTENTIAL BUYERS IF YOU'RE RUNNING A MATTRESS STORE: Just follow the Mattress Gallery's step by step example: 1. Toss a couple of box springs on the pavement outside the store and stand a mattress crumpled on it's side between a bike rack and the building. This will set the customers' first impression and make them wonder how the rest of the inventory gets treated. 2. Make sure there are so many reclining chairs right inside the front door as to present an obstacle course, both physically and visually, to customers coming in. 3. Follow that up by having the mattress inventory so tightly spaced that it creates a sense of "stay away" rather than "come try me out". 4. Make sure the single sales person doesn't acknowledge arriving customers with "Thanks for coming in - I'll be with you in a moment", but simply ignores them while he places a couple of phone calls. 5. Make sure you do not have names of mattress styles or features easily labeled for customers to look at so they can sort out for themselves what might be in their interest category as they wander about waiting on the single sales person. 6. When the sales person eventually "catches up" with the buying customers, be sure he is overly familiar "Hi kids! Whatareya lookin' for?" 7. When another customer arrives, make sure the sales person simply walks away from the potential buyers. No "excuse me a moment,..." but simply walks away and then engages in an extended conversation about a mattress the other guy's wife looked at last week. Leaving the previous customers "stranded". 8. When the "stranded" customers say to each other "We're done here" and head for the exit, send the sales person right behind them to ask "So how'd it go? See anything that would work for ya?" (Seriously.) Then you'll be sure to have your potential customers spend their money with your competitors, at places like Mattress Factory and Bed Mart where they'll get good quality customer care from well informed sales staff as well as easy access to well organized and maintained showrooms.

The last time I was in there Crystal the saleswoman at Wilson's, got up from the table when we were talking and said I have a customer, I have to go. My advice to you do not buy here.

    My freezer unexpectedly died. We decided to replace it rather than have it repaired since it was…read morefull of frozen food that was still frozen. Mark at Johnson Brothers was wonderful. He had the new freezer, a Frigidaire, delivered the very next day so that we wouldn't suffer a food loss. Several days later I wanted ice cubes and found that the freezer had heated up to 66 degrees! All of the food had spoiled. A process then started in order to ascertain the problem and replace the freezer. Mark and Johnson Brothers were again great. A technician arrived the next day and said the freezer couldn't be fixed. Frigidaire in comparison, gave me a day they would sent a technician, who never came, evidently the repair company had closed...wait for it...8 months previously. They wouldn't replace the freezer until a technician they sent said it couldn't be repaired. Frigidaire wanted to fix the freezer rather than replace it. Another day. When the technician came he said the freezer couldn't be fixed. Mark was even able cover the food loss. The entire time Mark was very supportive. I feel the value of a company is truly felt when there is a problem and am very grateful for the service I received.

    A full year ago, we 'kept it local' and bought a Bosch dishwasher and paid for the install. They…read moresent out two kids (clearly not licensed plumbers which is requirement for any appliance install involving water and electricity). Three weeks later we noticed the floors buckled in the kitchen. They didn't even bother to get the hose fitting tight! I called and they sent out some company that put a fan with some painters tape around the area and left! Short story: They refused to report the issue to their insurance. Blew me off for DAYS! I'd call back into the office and ask for a manager and never was able to speak with one. Poor sap management makes deal with these situations said, "I've talked with 'them' and they aren't going to report it to our insurance.'" Talk to enough people and they have gone through the same ordeal with Johnson Brothers. That's why they wouldn't report it to their insurance. We had no choice but to file a claim with our insurance and the same day had Sierra James out here. Kitchen and laundry room DESTROYED! We had to move out of our house for 8 months. Took two weeks to find a furnished house for rent. Complete nightmare putting our house back together. Try dealing with insurance these days.....even when it's not your fault. That alone took years off my life. Took a couple months to get them to refund the dishwasher and had to FIGHT to get the install charge refunded. "The installation is not refundable." Seriously, you can't make this stuff up. Not a single apology throughout. Not until I asked for an apology did I get the 'I already did, you just aren't listening'. Worst company and people I've ever dealt with......and that's saying a lot these days. One year later, we are finally done with all this crap. Our insurance subjugated the claim against JBs insurance and won. Our deductible is finally coming back to us. Do yourself a favor and go to Lowe's. The founder died. His son took over and died. Now, the grandkids took over and have nothing but a fancy website with empty slogans and values and promises of commitment and integrity. It's total bullshit.
