The first phase: a full gut of our house built in 1900. Removing walls, adding/moving bathrooms, leveling floors, replacement windows throughout, and rebuilding the staircase. Our home is now a modern wonder and we love it. The second phase was to restore the front porch to look similar to its original look, re-side the whole house, and add corbels to the roof-line. It looks beautiful and is a definite statement and conversation starter for our neighborhood! The final phase was removing the lead paint on a built-in cabinet so we could refinish it. Not only was it sanded down to the beautiful wood but they were able to find the hardware had amazing details in them! TJO kept on schedule, stayed in constant communication, and came in on budget. The job entailed adding walls, siding, insulation, drywall, electrical, split unit installation, installing windows, and finish wood work. From the beginning, I was very happy with Scott and his team. I received the requested, itemized estimate within the time frame he gave me. We communicated mostly through email and the questions i had about the estimate and throughout the process were answered right away. During construction, when an existing wall was removed and wood rot was found, Scott talked us through the problem and laid out our options being very clear that the additional work, should we choose that route, would require additional cost. He was upfront about the additional costs (that are often unavoidable) and I felt that he always had the best interest of the project in mind. He wasn't looking for ways to increase cost but was honest when it was unavoidable. The project was completed in a timely manner and though construction brings its own sort of mess, the guys kept my yard and the area as neat and clean as possIble. The project was also completely in a reasonable time frame. If and when a delay occurred (weather, materials, etc) I was notified of it.
