It's not about the teachers even though they make it appear that way - sorry but daycare educators want more vacation time, a better schedule (because you have to work a 9 hour shift with an unpaid paid hour lunch break) and proper raises and bonuses (without having to move up (suck up) to management) if you are a Teacher and just want to do your job - good luck with that! Educators don't want pizza and cupcakes or staff events they want real paid time off, seniority respect, and increased vacation every year of service. When they opened their school they wanted to treat the educators well but REFUSED to look into burnout. Instead they decided to host tons of events (some being on Saturdays) and enroll children without enough staff. They also used to be opened 6:30-630 - kids never left because the tuition is so damn expensive. Kids never went home sick or missed a day because tuition is so expensive. Burnout is real and when you work long hours into the day and get few paid holidays it's really gets to you. Kiss your summer goodbye because the time off is so low that once summer comes you used up all your PTO in the winter cus you got sick or had a few things going on... 5 days that's it! Also if you're there for many years, you get the same time off package as new people. The standards are so high that you can't enjoy the children because your constantly checking off boxes, on the iPad, or dealing with " Primrose fluff" it's very hard for one human to adhere to Primrose standards. Don't even get me into the curriculum (not NAEYC) either. It's not fun if you're a free thinker or free spirit. There's no respect for seniority either. One summer I witnessed 25 staff members leave the company. It's what the owners feel is important, they want you to fit into their little box. Use your judgement if thinking about working here or enrolling your child. If your wealthy Montessori is the way to go/ private nannying/ small church preschools! Less stressed out teachers, more focus on the children for sure. Oh, and you have to wear dress pants and flats (that smell and fall off running after the kids) but at least you "look good" to the parents (Lol) and you have to purchase your own primrose shirts for uniform.

The school is super clean. Everything gets washed and sanitized each day. We love getting detailed daily reports and pictures throughout the day. Prior to enrolling into Primrose we toured every single day care in the neighborhood and none of them really compared to Primrose. Once you walk into the building you just instantly know that the school is very well managed and operated.

During that time, we trusted the school's guidance, paid thousands of dollars in tuition, and believed he was making academic progress. Only after seeking outside evaluations did we discover that he was significantly behind in reading and writing. In my opinion, this school is not properly equipped to support children who need additional academic help or who have speech and communication delays. Rather than providing meaningful support and intervention, it often felt as though children with extra needs were viewed as a burden. What disappointed me most was the lack of urgency and concern regarding my child's learning progress. As parents, we expected honest communication, early intervention, and a clear plan to help him succeed. Unfortunately, that was not our experience. Parents should carefully monitor their child's academic development and ask questions early and often. Do not assume everything is on track simply because your child is being promoted to the next grade. Every child deserves educators who are genuinely committed to their success and willing to provide the support they need to thrive.

We feel that our children are safe, loved and being taught the values that represent our family's core values. The corner stone, of course, is that the education is great - my children are equipped with life skills and a solid educational foundation for a bright future. I have three kids: one who went to the toddler program, preschool, pre-K and is now in the elementary school; another is in pre-K; the last will begin preschool when she's 2.9 years old. One thing that continues to impress me is that every single year, we get an awesome group of teachers to instruct and partner with us to raise our kids. most of the classes are pretty small but have consistent and ample staffing to provide a stable and engaging environment. They are accredited by EEC & have a fun but challenging curriculum for each age/grade. Through early Covid, the school reacted and engaged with the students at a very high level online. In fall 2020, they opened back up for in person learning. Our family did not partake in that school year but we missed a lot of things about it and tried to stay informed. The only thing that has made me sad is when families move to public school for elementary and the little friendships and parent relationships fall off. I am encouraged that there is talk of expanding the school to include middle school in the near future and I hope this has an impact on more kids staying. Either way, we know Mount Hope is the right place for us! The facilities are well-kept and have recently been renovated (all of the bathrooms are new and updated and the playground equipment has been recently changed). There is a hot lunch program, which is prepared on site and catered by Burlington famous pizza. There is also for school and after school care options available. It's definitely an investment to get great childcare and education, but it's an investment well worth it! Our kids are our now and our future!

Received phone call from director ambushing me with how the center was unable to "settle" my just…read moreturned 2 year old. His first time in a daycare program, attending 2x per week. Sent pictures in app of him happy and playing only to be told during this call he is never settled and never plays. When questioned the owner Urvi said "admittedly teachers are very selective about capturing the child's happier moments" eluding that it wasnt the real situation with our child just an illusion. How does a child acclimate within just 5/6 visits to a new school? When we would ask the teachers how he was doing we would get "he's having better days, pockets here and there but better". This phone call was refuting these images and all we were told by the teacher reason being not to upset us as parents. Pretty much lied to us up until this phone call all to keep the peace. How does a parent support a teacher or program if they aren't being given the truth? Oh that's right you call and ambush them with how your child cries all day long and they don't know what to do or how to handle them. When we mentioned that we feel the 2x per week probably wasn't helping him get used to the program and that he would benefit from consistency in days it was silence on their end. I brought up initial sign on conversation with owner Urvi about waitlisting and that she mentioned by the end of this calendar year beginning of next a 3 day a week spot should open. I was immediately put on hold. When the director came back on the line she said "What Urvi meant was there would be a spot if we opened another classroom and well we are having trouble finding staff , so that won't be happening anytime soon." Another colorful story sold to us! When I questioned as to why I was just hearing about all this struggle today she said that "maybe I made the mistake of telling your husband." I am sorry what, now you're inferring that 1) my husband and I don't communicate about our children and 2)that he is a liar. I responded with no we talk ritualistically every afternoon when he gets in the car at pickup and when they arrive home about how his day went. I never expected my child to seamlessly take to school, however to be told you're child is unmanageable when there is no substance behind said claims is bizarre. These claims become even crazier when fictitious conversations come into play and what you're seeing in black and white via images on the app are in fact manipulated to create a facade. What should also be noted here is my child has a provisional diagnosis of autism which the school was not only made aware of but supported by me sending in early intervention services. I tell you this because during this phone call the director picked apart my child's behavior almost mocking him to be honest. In the conversation about him not playing "He walks around the playground hanging on to the ball." Well if you're any sort of "educator" you would know a trait of autism is special interests and this is not an uncommon behavior. BUT thank you for condescendingly pointing out how inept you truly are to handle a child that is not neurotypical. Do not take anything about this school at face value. The stories and faces are many and it's not pretty when they show their true self. Glad I got my child out of there before he was permanently traumatized. Please see picture attached for how "never ever settled, cries all the time" my son is. It's all just for the parents at the cost of the kids-when you add marker it makes it sting less.

Our preschool teacher does my daughters hair every day and calls her "sweet girl" on her way out. Urvi, the owner took the time to add post-it note to a backpack of a classmate my daughter wanted to connect with outside of the school. They also provide balanced snacks and lunches. Overall, it just feels like my daughter is in safe hands, thriving and learning a lot!

I met with Karen, the director, after a girlfriend of mine recommended them. We walked throughout the entire school, not just the infant room- which is what we needed. The do in house field trips! They go all the way up to kindergarten, and while touring, I could tell all the staff and kids were happy. This is important to me, as I want the best for my child. They have a chef! They introduce nutritional meals and plant a seed of understanding food groups at a young age, to instill healthy food choices as they grow. I LOVE THIS! I was talking to a neighbor mom who couldn't understand why they would have a chef, and to ME, it's important. Because cooking, prepping, rationing out snacks and meals, is tough sometimes. I run a business and manage an office, and my husband works starting his days at 630 at a glass contracting facility, so we are BUSY! Knowing my daughter can get the proper attention and great food, makes me feel VERY confident that I'm providing her with the best school. They have monitors and video cameras, which helps me feel the kids are safe. There's monitors in the front lobby. Everything was clean, everything was labeled, and it felt like they're managed very well. From sign language, to educational groups, to the hands on staff- I just feel this is the best center in town. I literally cried in the parking lot! My only complaint is the price. It's nearly double what other daycares nearby offer! Their full-time rate is 500$. I certainly was extra stressed with the process of getting twins acclimated to the daycare environment at 15 months (they were at home with a nanny before this), but everyone from the the teachers and staff and director helped make the process work. They girls have their primary teacher, but are constantly interacting with different groups of kids and teachers and staff. This has been wonderful in getting them accustomed to new people outside of the school environment. They used to be very shy about meeting new people but its a comfortable process being in new places now. The school also helps me as a first time mom with many questions I'll have about different things the kids experience. An added bonus that extends beyond the school environemnt!

I don't doubt that some parents experience good things from Artisan. From what I hear their infant…read morecare is excellent and we loved the addition of music in the curriculum. But in speaking to other parents of kids my daughter's age, they were/are having similar issues with staff and management that we had before we left. I would recommend against transferring into Artisan at least after toddler stages. We immediately looked to Artisan for a preschool program because we had toured there when she was an infant and loved the presentation from that time. My daughter began her experience with daycare at a small in-home facility in Burlington and did very well there, but eventually grew out of that format and needed more structure with children her age. We didn't look anywhere else, and were excited to move her into a preschool classroom shortly after turning three last year (May 2018). Over the summer, we were presented with mixed reports of behavior issues (completely uncharacteristic of what we had seen to that point) and other reports of her doing well. We were not sure what the problem would be other than maybe a transitional issue. After a teacher change in the fall, we discussed the plan created with the previous teachers over the summer at the outset with the new staff. We began to notice however that they didn't seem to be following it. We again kept getting mixed reports from different teachers as to her progress. To be honest, her teachers' quality seemed to go down with the new staff. Also new was Director Julie, who eventually presented us with an ultimatum in November 2018 that we enroll her in public funded special needs evaluations or be removed from Artisan because they had no answers. This pressure was confusing and didn't sit well with us and we found their expertise to be lacking, so we didn't trust their insistence on there being a special need issue. I come from a family full of educators at all levels and their inability to creatively find and enact a plan didn't seem right with anyone. We pulled her from Artisan before Christmas 2018 and found a spot for her at Primrose in Burlington for even more money that Artisan was charging, but the cost difference was well worth it. Any behavioral issues were quickly dealt with and now, at 4.5 years old in a pre-k program she is excelling in all areas and working on first grade material. We're given glowing praise from her new teacher frequently. We purposely waited to see how she fared at her new school before posting any reviews, but her success only further shows me Artisan staff did not have the training or creative capacity to solve what amounted to be a simple problem. My wife and I experienced a lot of stress over her inconsistent care and Julie's ultimatum. Now we sleep very well knowing our daughter is in good hands at Primrose.

Lori is very involved with all the students and their circumstances and does an amazing job making sure they are happy, healthy and safe. Magic offers enrichment almost everyday whether it's gymnastics, sports, music, yoga, swimming, Spanish or outdoor explorations! They work hard for my son and have helped me get him extra help with our towns preschool for OT and PT. I love this school so much and will be so sad when he graduates in 2023. He will be prepared and then some for transitioning into kindergarten and I couldn't be happier with the team he has on his side.

Magic Garden is by far our favorite. My daughter loves it here, and I love sending her here. The teachers at Magic Garden have been fabulous. My daughter has been in the Starburst room - her teachers are very experienced, enthusiastic, fun, and encouraging. The kids spend time doing meaningful play-based activities while learning social skills, learning about the world around them, and gaining reading, writing, and math skills that will prepare them well for kindergarten. They do art projects every day and have ample time to run around outside in one of several beautiful playgrounds. One of the things I like best about Magic Garden is the enrichment activities that are offered. The children have Spanish once per week. In the fall they do gymnastics once per week. In the winter and summer they have swimming (at the BSC in Waltham or the local Lincoln pool), and in the spring the kids walk to the Decordova museum for art classes. They also do creative movement and fitness. As a working mom with limited time to drive the kids to activities, this is a huge benefit for me. Magic Garden's extended day program and year-round schedule also make it a great place for families with two working parents. We can't be happier with our choice to send our daughter to Magic Garden. It is a great community and a special place!
