Was having lunch across the street and thought I would walk over before heading back to the car. Crossing Washington Ave at noon on a week day, not a great idea. Not a fan of comic books but love to look at all the other items in comic book stores. Tons of cool stuff here. Action figures of every sort, t- shirts, posters, books...the list goes on and on. Great store with cool people.

A solid selection of comics. The trade paperbacks are average price. A amazing selection of toys. So many gundam model kits.

Ask the Community - Bedrock City Comic

Can i sell my comics here?

We do buy comics at all of our locations. You are welcome to bring them by or email us a list and we will be happy to take a look and let you know if we can use them.

Do you guys buy Funko pops? I have a collection along with plushies and a statue if you guys are interested?

We do buy collections of Pops. It will just depend on what is in it and our current inventory. That will determine what we will make an offer on. Plushies are not something that we would buy in a collection though.

Can i sell my comic books and manga to you guys?

We do buy comic books from customers. You are welcome to bring them by any store and we will take a look and see if we can use them.

Review Highlights - Bedrock City Comic

I'd say they have quite a large manga section, but an even larger comic book selection ranging from DC to Marvel comics.

Let's go to Popgun I call Shotgun…read moreYou think that you're an active shooter Really? And with what gun? Last night I got into your place and I got gun Went to the river and right into it I dropped gun So go see if it's in its hiding place, you'll find there's not gun And here's to when the only guns in USA are Popguns. One of the best collectibles stores we've ever been to. But let's talk about guns in general. If we want, we should fill our lives with as many fake guns, play guns, toy guns, anime guns, and fun guns as we need, as we want, as we can handle. And all the crappy Van Damme action movies we can get, shooting ranges too if you want, AirSoft, LaserQuest, Paintball, you name it. All of it. Bring it on. What we shouldn't do is have actual guns, at all, anywhere. I come from a place where there aren't any actual guns, basically, and nobody gets shot. Shootings just aren't a thing. Sure we stab each other, we're a violent bunch. Fist fights, yep. Broken bottles in the face, ew. Welcome to the UK. Bunch of hooligans. But what we don't do, is shoot each other. Guaranteed, if there was an abundance of guns legally for sale, we all would. No doubt. It's not an American thing. It's a gun thing. Get rid of the guns, wait a decade or so, you'll notice an eerie lack of shootings in the US. Already happened in Australia. It's blatantly obvious, not sure why it would even be a debate. Hard to debate in this country because people are just... so... d.... do me a favour and let's talk about the store now. Couldn't believe it when this place opened up in a lovely neighbourhood not far from where we live. Right off 59. It's so great for kids and collectors and those who are into this stuff. They have normal business hours but they're often working late and at all kinds of hours, because the place is a real labour of love. Easily one of the best collectibles stores I've ever seen. Really adds to the heart and soul of Montrose and West U and Upper Kirby. If you're into this kind of thing you really have to check it out. And if you need something popped, whatever that may be, I have a gun you can use. It's experienced, it's popped many things before. It used to treat them like collectibles, like notches on bedposts and such, but not anymore. I can't even remember how many pops anymore, but what I can say is, once you pop, you can't stop.

It smells like hell in there (sweaty and musty) and it's literally just a bunch of funko pops.read more

I'd never been to this new location and while it's a little different it still feels the same to me. I move that they offer free game playing. They've got video games, arcade games, and so on. From the outside, it's a little more polished--not exactly the scrappy dive bar exterior we grew up with--but don't let that fool you. Step inside, and it's like nothing ever changed (in the best possible way). The vibe is still unapologetically nerdy and nostalgic: old video games, comic books everywhere, tournament setups, and three custom arcade cabinets that are worth the trip alone. No pingpong room though... Even the bathrooms are keeping the tradition alive--patrons have already started tagging them up, just like the OG location. It's that kind of beautiful chaos that makes Neil's special. The crowd? Same eclectic, welcoming, slightly-chaotic energy. Whether you're there for a trivia night, a game tournament, or just to grab a drink and button-mash for a while, it still feels like the right place to be.

I picked up the latest issue of Dragon Ball Super and also got a Dragon Ball Energy drink, that tasted really good, as well as a Flashpoint comic book. My only complaint is that it seems that items there are sold for the price that is on the back of the book, which means you can probably find the same items cheaper on Amazon for instance. They do have a clearance/on sale section but I didn't really browse it. Overall, if you are looking for any comics, this place is the place for you.
