I waited about three months before I actually did a review here because I wanted to finish the vitamins I had already been taking and then start taking the ones that I had gotten here at Peter Gillham's. And now I can write a legitimate review based on my experience of not just the vitamins that I have been taking but also my experience inside this store. The first thing I noticed was the "Mom and Pop" feel which I love - it was personable. The friendly lady at the front helped me immediately as soon as I asked for help. Now, I bought the bag of multiple vitamins in packets (and some additional supplements) and they turned out to not only give me the best price - I actually got quality vitamins here - I take these daily and I can totally see the difference in my skin and well-being. I see that they have been in business for decades. It's no surprise why - they want to help people be healthy without cleaning out your pocket book. It has been very hard to find daily packets of multivits at any local nutritional store. As a teenager I was usually very deficient in iron, folic acid, etc however I became health conscious in 1984 when I was offered a job in the juice bar at Peter Gillham's and after taking the mulitvits I noticed that my nails became long and strong and I was generally healthier. I used to prepare Mr. Gillham's favorite drink called "Bohemian Protein Drink" with pineapple coconut juice and delivered it to his office upstairs on the corner of Catalina and Fountain. I have become very inspired by Mr. Gillham's knowledge of health and nutrition that I'm educating my boyfriend on nutrition and I plan on cleaning out his cupboard of cheap bottles of generic vitamins and replacing them with Peter Gillham's multivitamins. I would like to continue to be supportive of this store even after 38 years. PS,, I am also kind of relieved that the store attendant that worked there in 2015 has moved on and is no longer smoking cigarettes near the entrance of this store .

It was definitely a piquant flavor but cost me a pretty penny at $13.46 for a 3.5 oz bag. I think it's also cool that you can buy nut sacks from them and put your own text on it such as "Deez Nutz." A slice costs $10, and the Franky costs $70, which is $10 more than just getting six individual slices. It was convenient, but preparing it involves more labor, and I'm glad to support small and local businesses. They were all delicious, and our favorites were the Banoffee, Strawberry Guava Lime, and Ube Blueberry. The crust on all the pies was delicious! I enjoyed the banana slices in the Banoffee. The lime's tanginess complimented the sweetness of the strawberry and guava. The Ube Blueberry had such an excellent ube flavor. Jashmine was awesome.
