He is truly a gentleman and a pleasure to deal with. We've paid cash or credit card and never encountered Square problems. The honey is of very good quality and we would recommend it. Must admit, however, that with the proliferation of local honey choices at similar prices, we would not navigate to Hodges Rd to buy it if our roadside vender is displaced.

I was the first customer of the day at the mobile location on Hodges Boulevard by JTB. I received a friendly greeting and let him know I was a first time customer. He offered me a taste and it was delicious. The honey sells itself. One sign stated one jar for $30 or two jars for $50, the other sign said cash and card accepted. He used his cell phone with Foursquare to take my card payment. He wanted to hand me his phone but instead I hit the button for no tip, picked out two jars of honey and was on my way. I ran a few more errands, came home and checked my bank account. I purchased two jars for $50 and was charged $55. I found the phone number for the business and called to inquire why I was charged an extra $5. I was advised there was a 10% card service fee which I acknowledged when the salesman handed me the phone. I didn't hold the phone, I hit no tip on the screen. Maybe the disclosure was on that page as the only other page I saw was a receipt was being emailed. The sun was shining on the phone so yes I could have missed the 10% fee notice, but I did not hit a button acknowledging it. I'm disappointed that a 10% card fee (very high) would not be verbally disclosed by the seller. I felt I was taken advantage of and I do not appreciate that:( I would have gone to the bank and made a free withdraw to avoid the extra $5. I want to support local businesses so I will find another local honey distributor for my needs in the future.

Alvarez Farms is one of the most popular vendors which I have seen every week. They sell local produce plus many other items one of which has become a favorite, smoked salmon. I've also purchased tomatoes, red potatoes, red pepper, cucumbers and sweet potatoes. I bought the most deliscious asiago sourdough bagelsand an apple strudel type of pastry from Rudin although I'm not sure of his business's name. But he has been there every week so I'm sure he will not be hard to find. Danielski Homemade Doggie Treats when above and beyond and made some grain-free treats for my dogs upcoming 10th birthday. Thank you;)) I also have to stop by the Pico Princess tent and pick up bean dip, guacamole and pico. All homemade and delicious! On my last trip I purchased some Japanese milk bread with mango that was sweet, soft and yummy! I can't wait to go back this weekend and explore more local businesses!

Are people sitting side saddle? My daughter is small but put her legs down. Our friend pushed out away from the table. Otherwise, they have long tables-great for groups, high top tables for 2-inside/outside, rockets, cushy lawn chairs by fire pits. So relaxing. Service So friendly, attentive Menu What I love is the changing seasonal menu. If you had the broccoli corn bread-you will love the maycaw cornbread-C and P farm is the largest producer of maycaws in the world-fun fact! It is sweet, dense, corny taste-yum! Served with sweet fresh butter that is air light! We had the lamb sandwich served with a side. I wondered at first glance at the lamb-kind of a lam loaf-not like a gyro, served with mint and something else on the most AMAZING wheat bun!! The sauce-not typical tziziki but really delish. I chose the squash which was sautéed with dill-not my fav but the squash was cooked perfectly. We also had the shrimp and grits-a Jax fav that consistently pleases. Our friend had the chicken with heat sandwich-toasted bun, house pickles/many, slivers of onion, battered chicken breast, with a douse of hot sauce. If you like the heat-this is your sandwich-served with medium sliced fries. Very tasty. There is a separate dessert menu but we were full-satisfied. Re: drinks-house beers, ciders, iced tea-no lemonade, aske for 2 carafes of water as the glasses are on the small size. Note Walk the farm-see the animals, landscape-great walk after or before a meal. Think about wedding or special occasion spot. Summary This is our fav go to place to est esp when headed to the airport-very chill vibe, outstanding food, great service. Love this place!

I saw some photos of their…read moregrazing picnic boxes in some of the foodie groups that I'm in and made a commitment that the next time I want to have a real self-care weekend I'd order some boxes. The picnic boxes come with 2 cured meats, 2 cheeses, 1 dip, a cracker assortment, seasonal fruits and veggies, a pickled item, dried fruits, premium chocolates, and a flower garnish. They look absolutely gorgeous! It says on the website that it can feed up to 4 people but that entire box is mine alone. Order was super easy through their website as mentioned before. I had forgotten to add a timeframe in the order so Angela emailed me thanking me for the order and asked about it. I asked if it was ok to deliver the boxes between 3 and 4 pm to which she replied absolutely. I was excited. It was delivered right on time by I believe Angela herself in a mask and gloves. She thanked me and I thanked her back. The boxes were kinda heavy and I immediately placed them in the fridge for later on. My babe and I set up a picnic area in our living room with water (since we're currently curbing our alcohol intake) and he opened up a box and started in on it. Maaaan, a 4 person serving was right. There was so much food! What looked like a third of brie, slices of white cheddar, grapes, raspberries, blueberries, strawberries, honey, 2 types of salami I believe, dried apricots, Godiva chocolates, kalamata olives, cucumber quarters and hummus, crackers then decorated with pink carnations. How lovely! We loved everything in it and very glad we got 2 boxes to relive the moment all over again the following day. I highly suggest this business to all you Grazers.

I'm a sucker for a pretty charcuterie board, and lo and behold this is a charcuterie board in a box! Order one as a gift or as a date night snack! It's seriously genius. In my very first interaction with this business I was actually going out on a limb to 'nominate' my husbands fire station for a pay-it-forward promotion they were doing where they planned to deliver boxes to local first responders and heroes. Y'all know I'm a sucker for businesses that support these folks, especially JFRD! Much to my surprise, they accepted my nomination! A week or so later I had a friend that had a baby and decided to order a box for their family. The ordering process was straight forward - you fill out a form on the site describing what you want and the business sends back an invoice. They offer free delivery within the Jacksonville area, so that's a wonderful perk as well! I am proud to support this business, and plan to order several more boxes as gifts in the coming months.
