I called with a mid-afternoon request to have a flower arrangement created as a gift for my sister's birthday the same day. I usually plan ahead but being away a few days prior to her birthday threw me off a bit. I wanted to try a new (to me-well anything is really new because I am new around here) local florist and I was pleasantly surprised. was told that some flowers they typically had (per the website) were not available but that she could start an arrangement and I could meet her at the shop to explain what I could like in the arrangement from the flowers they had in the case. When I got there I was greeted warmly and the women working were so personable and took my requests to heart. The delivery driver who stopped on to pick up arrangements to deliver out was extremely nice as well. I can tell this florist cares about delivering a quality and aesthetically pleasing product. I was provided with a beautiful assortment of a variety of flowers and colors with added height accents for visual interest. I will continue to use them again and again. Bee Ridge Florist saved the DAY! and saved Mother's Day!!! Let me tell you about it... I live in NY and my Mum lives in Florida... Like many people, I ordered my usual arrangement through 1800 Flowers on May 5th, for delivery on May 7th.. with 2 days to spare before Mother's Day. Like so many patrons have complained of, 1800 Flowers did NOT deliver the order and promised that it would be delivered on Sat. May 8th. They failed and I was left angry and helpless at 8:30 pm - the night before Mother's Day. What florist would be able to add a delivery on Mother's Day at nearly 9 pm the night before? Impossible... Every search yielded deliveries for May 11, May 12, May 14th...far after Mother's Day. I took a chance after frantically searching through local florists and placed an order with Bee Ridge - for a delivery on Monday 5/10 - as their shop listed closed on Sunday's. I accepted that this would be the best that I could get given the circumstances. My son then spoke with his Nana on Mother's Day - and she tells him - "The flowers are gorgeous!".. I thought that 1800 Flowers came through with their delayed delivery - so I emailed Bee Ridge and asked them to cancel my order for Monday 5/10. I then received a call and email on Monday 5/10 from Bee Ridge that informed me -- it was their flowers! They didn't want the day ruined and they got this delivery out to my Mum on Mother's Day. I don't know how they did it! I will be forever grateful to Bee Ridge Florist's team for going above and beyond. This kind of dedication is truly hard to find. I was a little hesitant since I was ordering on the phone from Miami and wasn't sure what kind of arrangement they would end up delivering. After a short chat with the man from Bee Ridge he said he got an idea of what to send my mom and we hung up. I explained I wanted something really nice since she use to own a flower shop a few years ago and that she loves purple. Well they managed to get my mom her flowers less than 24 hours later and she loved them. Not only that, but they were also very beautiful...much prettier than I had hoped! The staff was incredibly unfriendly. A huge downer all the attitude. On top of that: *They lost our initial payment, only to realize a week later that it was their mistake. All the staff was rude about this issue. *They quoted three type of flowers for the bride's bouquet but only included two. * They decided to change the size of the requested floral arrangements without any notice. Overall they seem to be interested in finding items to charge and / or overcharge more than providing a decent service. Please do yourself a favor and look elsewere for any type of event. read more

I have been unable to visit my Mother in her assisted living apartment, so I have started sending her bouquets from Bee Ridge Florist every couple weeks. Each one has been gorgeous! My mom is an artist and really appreciates the colorful and fragrant bouquets. I keep waiting for her to tell me to stop....but she hasn't yet! My husband sent me a "special" bouquet for our 1st anniversary. He called and ordered a special arrangement, wanting it to look impressive for $325.00 The flowers consisted of carnations, roses and Lillie's. It looked like nothing more than a couple of $10.00 bouquets from the grocery store. When I complained the owner became saying " what do you want? Exotic or quantity? I first learned of them when I received a vase of flowers as a gift. WOW! is all I can say. I have been calling around to get info for wedding flower arrangements. I had no idea they were the same company. I set up an appointment with All Event Rental & Design to see what they had to offer. I then called Bee Ridge Florist (Two different phone numbers) to see what they had to offer. When they transferred me to speak with an agent it was the same one as from All Events. It is a shame i didn't get her name but WOW!!! How unprofessional and rude. The treatment I received was appalling. She told me that I was unprofessional for shopping around for a florist. That it was unprofessional to waste their time getting a quote and that you should only work with one person. News flash rude lady!!!! People shop around to get quotes. Don't think you are the best around there may be others better than you!! We hired these people for our wedding. Bee Ridge did not show us our flower arrangements until the day before the wedding. They were.. not what we were expecting, at all. The colors were all wrong. They decided it would be appropriate to make things look Christmas-like, because our wedding was on Dec. 19th. It caused my fiance just a terrible amount of stress, the day before the wedding. We called around and ended up buying another $500 worth of flowers from a competing florist to fix the problem. Bee Ridge painted some of the flowers they had and we redid all of the arrangements at the last minute. One of our bridesmaids had to micro-manage the arrangements. Furthermore, Bee Ridge refused to reimburse us for any of the money we had to spend to fix these issues. Pictures are worth a thousand words. We came from Indiana to have a wedding in Siesta Key. After doing some research I chose Bee Ridge to be our florist. There were some emails and phone calls exchanged and all seemed well. When we arrived before the wedding we had discovered there were a few miscommunications. Although we had these Barbara was able to finish all of the flowers for my brides wedding in a record time and they were ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!!!! I suggest anyone to use them. I went in for the 25 roses for $10 special. The woman who waited on me was very helpful in assisting me in selecting 3 colors as I wanted 70 roses for a birthday gift, and she even went to the trouble of getting some additional colors out of the back room refrigerator. This is an unbelievably good price for what was a very impressive bouquet for my friend. She was thrilled. The only thing one should be aware of is that due to the low price, these roses are sold "as-is", which means that some stems may be broken - 3 were unusable in my 3 bouquets - certainly acceptable, but just be aware of this in case you need an exact amount of usable stems. Also, if you want them to be unpackaged and put in a clear piece of plastic, the cost changes to $5.98 per dozen ($5.88 for my order), and, understandably at this low price, greens and baby breath are extra as well.
