Also, repaired small holes in clothing, altered shirts, and made dresses from scratch for me! Recently I brought in 3 pairs of pants that had small holes in them (yes, I make a mess of my clothes). She repaired them all for a grand total for $6.50. Crazy cheap, right? I was a bridesmaid in a wedding a few years ago. The bride provided the fabric (silk with little lines in it - hard to work with because of the lines). The bride gave us the pattern and we had to get it made. I brought it to Anna. She made the dress with alterations (I wanted the neckline much lower than she originally made it). Dress made with multiple alterations all for about $100. CHEAP. the other bridesmaids (who were from all over the country) said the cheapest they found was $200. Why 4/5 stars? Because I asked her to fix a sweater, but she can't do woven stuff (it's a knit sweater.) 12/2011 Update: She has a new location: She's NOT easy to find the first time. There are two sets of 1970s looking two story buildings off of 59 north just north of Sugar Creek. She is in the one farther from 59. The buildings are just next to Berry Hill Tamales when you are heading down the feeder. She's on the 1st floor on the front of the building (facing toward the freeway). Tip: Ask the price before you leave your stuff. She does take cash and checks. I don't think she takes credit cards (She's a one woman business). Also, don't start chatting with her about you, life, etc... because when you get her started she won't let you leave. If you keep it all business, so will she.

Spent $325 to alter 6 dresses and 1 skirt to smaller sizes. Expensive but thought it was worth it…read moreto be able to wear some of my favorite pieces again. Unfortunately I had to come back twice as two items were incorrect at time of pick up. One dress failed to be shorten and another was still too big. When I returned a week later to pick up the two dresses, one was cutting into my armpit so tightly and had gaps on the chest. The only way it fit comfortably is if my arms are all the way behind my back. Otherwise it digs so deeply into the armpit that it hurts. I was told that due to how large the dress was originally, there was nothing that could be done about the ill fit in the armpit/chest area and just pull it down more. Gave no solution to fix. As experts in the alteration field, they should be clear on what can and can't be done with certain garments. I obviously would not have paid to alter a garment if I'd known it wouldn't fit properly. Unfortunately it is completely unwearable with the chest gaps and extremely tight armpit. Essentially I threw away $46 on that.
