My wife and I built a home with B&D and moved in about 5 months ago. We had an excellent experience through the design and building process. A lot of the design options were great and they were super accommodating to help find the right finishes for us. All of our communication through the process was good- Bob and Kristina were especially punctual with responses and were outstanding to work with. They have even helped with a few things since we've closed. We built our home in Palos park and have several friends who have struggled with the village on permits. B&D handled everything with the village and we closed on schedule, despite the typical delays that may arise with a new home. Love the house, fast and easy process, good people behind this company. I purchased a home in The Enclaves, Lemont and have a had numerous, major, issues, after I closed. The final grade took FIVE attempts before it met village code. The driveway also had to be removed twice because of improper grade. The garage floor was also at improper grade. The sod was installed THREE months after close. The closing was TWO months late. The dishwasher was installed improperly. Each delay had excuses to go with it, at my inconvenience. It's never their fault. Each time I tried to get the above issues resolved it was after weeks of attempts to Beechen Dill. Thank goodness for the Village of Lemont. I relied more on them, than Beechen Dill, for satisfaction. Beechen Dill showed a blatant arrogance and contempt for my concerns until the Village intervened. I was the customer, they had my money, so why deliver satisfaction, after the sale. Now, I have a documented, $15,000, defective hardwood floor that I brought to their attention SIX months ago. I got the standard Beechen Dill excuses. These guys are well practiced in delivering excuses. It's never their responsibility. Like insurance companies, their policy is to stall and deny responsibility until the homeowner gets discouraged. read more

Beechen & Dill is too unethical to be called a reputable builder. Their 1 year warranty is a joke! They offer a warranty that is determined, by them, as to what will or won't get fixed. The craftsmanship completed by their contractors is deplorable! They get your money, but the product they give you in return is appalling! My husband and I closed on our home in May 2018 and have already had NUMEROUS issues, including: a fully sodded yard that was guaranteed by contract, and only after complaining for a year, was just recently completed. When I spoke to the landscape contractor, he was impatient, rude, and dismissive towards me. Seigle's Cabinets supplied the cabinets which have gaps, cracks, exposed seams, and globs of paint on them. We questioned the quality before we moved in and were told that the cabinets would get fixed at our one year service after the wood had settled. They didn't get fixed, and we have been told they are "deemed tolerable" and will not get fixed. Seigle's was exceptionally disrespectful and used a threatening tone towards me when I spoke to their general manager on the phone. We had concrete steps that the village of Lemont said were not up to code before we closed on our home that just got fixed a few weeks ago. We have hardwood floors that creak, despite constant adjustments made to our humidifier to lessen the creaking. They use cheap flooring which has been an issue with other homes in the subdivision. Masonry work was sloppy. Beechen & Dill does NOT want to resolve these issues, and therefore, will pawn you off onto the contractors who also do not want to deal with you or these problems. This company hires contractors that are consistently arrogant, demeaning, and threatening toward women. On NUMEROUS occasions I was not only spoken to by Beechen & Dill's contractors like I was a young, dumb millennial, but I was also threatened. One gentleman told me to "never call him again or there will be problems". I am a strong competent woman that worked hard to get where I am. I should be respected by Beechen & Dill and their contractors! This company is chauvinism at its worse! Do NOT expect this attitude to improve. It only gets worse after they have your money! read more

Beechen and Dill was ok to deal with while building our home however after the after and with any issues that came up after we were in our home, not so much. Our subdivision is nearly done now and there are currently over 30 homes with roof issues. Two homeowners have already replaced their roofs entirely. And Beechen and Dill talks about how they stand behind their work and takes pride in their product but they don't. They are offering a cheap "fix" (a band-aid - not an actual cure for the issue.) I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. read more

I have lived in my Beechen and Dill home in Romeoville for three years and for the second time I've lost a large section of roof shingles. The first time it happened I was told by the builder that it was not their problem and gave me the name of the roofing company that did the original work. They came out and for a price replaced the missing shingles. Now it has happened again in a different section of the roof. I would not recommend this builder to anyone. The homes are pretty to look at but the workmanship and materials are not. read more

Time has nothing to do with quality. I recently had a custom home built in about 5months in the Western Suburbs and it is absolutely perfect and very high end. The housing market has had ups and downs and luckily we are currently climbing up. Based on the changing market it makes sense that prices change. All I can say is the job was done perfectly, we had no missed deadlines and the quality of our home is outstanding. We are very happy with our home by Beechen and Dill.
