I would love to give a 5 star review because the Jerky is excellent. What is preventing me from do this, was the service. Now I am not saying it was bad service, because it was not bad. The clerk, Julian, was nice enough, but it was phony nice. He was condescending, he kept calling me MAM.. Mam, is ok, but MAM is not. Women will understand this. I would ask him questions and his response was , MAM, everything is on the bag... the problem was this, there is a lot of Jerky in that shop, A lot. I tried to explain to Julian what I was looking for and I did not want to hunt through 1000's of bags to find it. The straw for me was when he shook his head at me like I was a toddler and smiled a condescending half smile and said, Again, MAM, that information is on the bag.... I wanted to tell him just where to put that bag.... As far as the ambiance, well there was punk rock blasting in the background and of course Julian.... So other than the punk rock and the clerk, can I recommend the store? Yes the Jerky is very good. I bought several bags, and some dog treats.. they loved it, too. read more

This place is super cool! They have over I believe between 30 and 40 different types of jerky you could taste but well over more flavors you can buy that weren't free tasting. My favorite was the beef jerky dill one. It's not over bearing. I tried a few others and just loved it. The employee was so knowledgeable and so nice as well. Service was perfect! read more

If you're a jerky fan, this outlet has a wide variety of different types of jerky to choose from. There are specials around "the more you buy, the more you save" -- we each bought some for souvenirs to take home. There are mild, spicy, and extra spicy -- and, a whole array of flavors ranging from Sweet Bourbon to Blazin' Cajun. It's certainly a tourist trap but it's worth a stop in to help support their local economy. read more

Went here recently and was very excited to buy a couple varieties of jerky. Ended up getting two different kinds, one being a little spicier and one being mild. I got a Cajun chicken which is delicious. The best part was the free samples up by the front desk area. She really knew the different kinds and was able to answer questions. She is the reason we got the two flavors that we purchased. The prices are typical for jerky, nothing special there. And we did see a little section of candies and dog treats which was nice. I got "bear poop" chocolates for my nephew, and a jerky dog stick. I would definitely visit again. read more

Nice spacious store just a few steps off the main shopping street. Store was nice and cool inside! Lots of jerky- regular beef as well as some novelties like duck, alligator, ostrich and even vegan jerky. Fun to look around and the displays weren't so tight together you felt like you were in everyone's way. Who knew there was such a thing as a Beef Jerky Outlet?! During a day in Estes Park I came across a pretty large Beef Jerky Outlet. Any and all things jerky related in addition to hot sauces, t-shirts and tourist memorabilia items. The aroma is that of dried beef, pungent and wafting out the front door as it swings open to bring in the next jerky collector. The service is adequate; you can tell based on the "I don't care attitude" that they deal with the tourist bathroom question all day. Multiple times I heard the statement "Our bathrooms are not for customers; even if you buy something", every time with more attitude than the last. If you're a beef jerky consumer than this is your heaven - enjoy. If not, keep on walking to the countless taffy shops on the main drag. read more

If you like beef jerky, this is your place. So many different options and they let you taste a good deal of them. They also have other snack as well, but the jerky is what you come for. It's a little expensive, but there aren't too many jerky shops like this so you get what you pay for. The owner said that they will ship out of state, but I haven't tried it. read more

I honestly can't say if it's any good jerky because I just could not see paying $40 for a pound of jerky. They did however have lots of variety and very unique meats and flavors. Maybe some one else will post about flavors read more

My hubby spotted this place as we were walking across the street in downtown Estes Park. We were both a little hungry and didn't want to eat too many sweets, so we stopped in. IT WAS JERKY HEAVEN. I love the free samples and how they are set up neatly in round barrels. They have plenty of flavors and meats to choose from, and buy so many save some money deals as well. We ended up getting three small bags of jerky- cherry maple, honey jalapeno, and a sweet chili. Staff was very friendly, mostly hands off and let us wander around. Just asked if we had any questions. I loved the variety and all of the flavors, the store was very neat, clean, and well stocked. Make a point to stop here if you even remotely like jerky. read more

Called first to se did they had any "beef alternatives" I know I know.... dang hippies who don't eat meat. I found some amazing ahi tuna and salmon jerkey while visiting Hawaii but it gets kind of expensive. They do have several non-beef options but none to sample unfortunately. I was looking for clean basic ingredients but the fish jerkey had lit of additional additives. So many options in this place. Beef jerkey lovers dream. Although they had lots of vegetarian bashing signs and shirts they had a few options for vegans!! They also had dog treats and lots of gift options at reasonable prices. Very interesting options to choose from. The two guys working the front were nice but didn't engage much at all. I would suggest one work the register/front/ greeting and such and the other mingle throughout store instead of huddle together. They didn't seem to have much customer service skills after engaging a bit but they were nice. Grey location and lots of fun stuff if you like dried beef! read more

This was a wonderful find when we visited Estes Park. I am now addicted to the turkey jerky. Since we were there in Sept I've already had 2 orders sent to my home. So many different flavors. The jerky here is delicious! It has a nice bite to it. If you're looking for super tender jerky, this probably isn't for you. But I've always preferred jerky a little tougher! Wish this was closer to home. read more

Great selection - we love their jerky. That said, I have a comment for the owner about the same worker mentioned below. The one who is younger with light hair and a lip ring. He blew his nose quite thoroughly and then proceeded to touch our food and check it out. There was a bottle of sanitizer right in front of him. I was so grossed out!!! I almost said something directly then, and I should have, but with everything going on right now that is absolutely inexcusable!! read more

Dear owner - your teenage worker, the one with the ring through his lip, shut down the shop ten minutes early and wouldn't unlock the door for multiple customers of which I was one. After knocking profusely he rudely came over and pounded at the sign that showed the times (closing at 5pm). So I kept knocking , holding my phone up to the window so he could see it was clearly not 5pm, he grudgingly unlocked the door and mumbled "be quick" as I entered with another customer. This place has every flavor of jerky imaginable. They also have some unique candy, and some wild game jerky if you're into that sort of thing which is sometimes hard to find. I liked the place because they had a variety of size bags for different prices, and discounts if you bought more than one bag. It was a little pricier than other places I've been for jerky, but I will definitely return when visiting Estes. The staff was friendly, and they had samples of everything in the store so that you didn't have to waste your money on something you might not like. read more

Wow! This place was cool. They had samples of just about everything they sold and it made our decision-making much easier. We walked out with a 3/$50 special for jerky and a bag of mango habanero peanuts. I loved their cheeky t-shirts too. They have "animal poop" candy as well (chocolate covered this and that) and some fruity candy. It's a nice small shop run by a few easy going people. After reading the other comments on here that have been made about the bathrooms not being available for customers--did you not look directly across from this shop? Across the little park in the town hall are clearly labeled public restrooms. How often do you go to tiny retail places with public bathrooms? That is a courtesy, not a right. Anyway we loved this place and our cashier chatted up my husband, who only wanted to talk about how spicy the Reaper jerky was for like half an hour. We'll be back!! read more
