Oh my gosh, if you love taffy you have to check out this place. There are so many flavors to choose from and the ones I tried have vibrant flavor. In other words, you buy banana, it tastes like a real banana. You buy mango, it tastes real. My favorite is spicy cinnamon which really has a kick. It is hot! The taffy is really good quality. Soft and chewy, not hard or tastes like plastic. I don't really know how to judge taffy prices but in July 2026 it was $16 a pound which I guess is reasonable. Color me corrected because when taffy is made by hand, the right way, it's light, soft, gently-sweet, and just down-right delicious! During our visit to Estes Park, a friend had recommended The Taffy Shop (there are so many in Estes Park!), so we stopped in. They've received a lot of recognition and awards and been in business for almost 100 years! The store is pretty small, so if there's a crowd, it's going to feel super crowded. We got a box of assorted taffy of our choosing. We selected grape, cherry, strawberry, salted caramel, and banana. That was only a small sample of what they offered. They all taste pretty good except for the cherry. It reminds me too much of cherry-flavored cough drops, so I wouldn't get that again. This is a nice and cute taffy shop. Despite the hype of this historic venue, the flavors are pretty much what you can find at many tourist towns across the country. The flavors and taffy are good, and I tried their famous cinnamon taffy, which is normally a flavor I like, but in taffy it didn't work for me. It wasn't bad, but it may be more of a seasonal flavor that might hit the spot at Christmas. Their current best seller of Salted Caramel was more to my liking. I love the taffy. However when I ordered some taffy to be sent to friend out of state I chose the USPS priority. I figured that would be better since it would get there faster than ground. It was more expensive but I was concerned about the heat it would have been exposed to going ground. When I received the notice that the taffy was going to be shipped, it was going UPS ground and wouldn't get there for 5 days. I called and told a woman who answered the phone that was not what I had paid for. Had I not caught the mistake it would have gone ground instead of priority which would be faster. Not very happy about the way it was all handled. Great taffy but beware if you are ordering on-line and having it shipped. read more

A fun experience to watch the candy crafters stretching the taffy of the spinning arms (always turning just in time not to fall off ). I love banana Laffy Taffy, so when I heard about this place I was excited--but I still wasn't expecting much. It completely exceeded expectations. When my wife and I walked in, it felt like stepping straight into the 1950s. The young man behind the counter was fantastic--great customer service, very professional, and dressed perfectly for the classic candy shop vibe. He was extremely helpful when we asked questions about different flavors, which made the experience even better. Our favorite flavors were banana (no surprise there), salted caramel, creamy peppermint, and lemon. The candy itself was excellent. Skip the other taffy spots downtown and go straight to this shop. This is a little family owned taffy shop, they're celebrating 90 years this year. The folks inside helping us were very friendly. So happy we walked into this cute little store. The owner was there at the front and let us try any taffy we wanted. It is all made right there. Every time our family goes up to Estes Park, it's tradition for us to stop here. The candy's great, and watching the taffy get pulled and cut by old school machines is a nice throwback. Love this place! It's the best simple, fresh and delicious salt water taffy ever. Every time I come up to Estes Park I have to stop in and get some. I love the simplicity of the shoppe. It's so cute and old-timey. The taffy pulling machine is right there in the window, so you can see the taffy makers adding the flavors and colors. The staff is always friendly and give great suggestions on all the flavors. There's usually about 10-12 flavors at any given time, so I'm sure you'll find something you'll love.
