I contacted my insurance carrier on Saturday for road side service (dead battery) and was surprised when a gentleman from Beef's Road Side Service arrived. After speaking with him for a few minutes I learned he had driven from a service call in Brentwood after receiving the call from my insurance carrier to help me (I was told there were no service trucks in my area). I was very surprised when he told me that he lives in Gardena. Expecting the 'traditional' tow truck operator, I engaged him in conversation and after speaking with him for a while, knew that this gentleman gives more than road side service. He's very professional, extremely knowledgeable, and knows cars inside and out. He doesn't just do the usual road side service jobs such as jump starts, lockouts, tire changes, valve stem repair and tire rotation, gas refills, battery recharging, engine pull code, head and tail light installation and that sort of thing, he's also a qualified technician with his own repair shop. Needless to say, I was very impressed with his service and were he closer, geographically, I'd use him for future service on my car. I like that he's a small business owner who gives you personal attention and honest feedback because he's placing his reputation and his business on the line. Give him a call. After accidentally locking my key inside my Mercedes Benz at a gas station--with no spare and all the windows fully closed (including 3.5% tinted ones)--I was in a tough spot. Both a locksmith and even AAA turned me down, saying it couldn't be done. On this specific vehicle. They were scared to damage it. I couldn't be more grateful for Michael, and his integrity, honesty, and professionalism. Fairly late on a Sunday night, I had a flat tire, that would not hold any air at all, and I was stranded at a gas station right off of a busy freeway on-ramp. I requested road side assistance through State Farm to replace a flat tire with my spare. Beef's Roadside Assistance came and I couldn't ask for better service. I had tried myself, but Beef's had the better tools and talking to him the wayyyy better know how. He's serviced over 28,000 cars largely from working at Jifry Lube in the past. He was able to answer all my questions about what to do once I had the spare and even gave me advice on how to save the most money. They were great! After waiting over an hour on the side of the freeway for another tow company to show up my insurance company called Beef's . He was there in 20 min. My spare was flat and he was able to fill it. Changed the tire in no time. Then because I had to dive slow off the freeway because of the spare he was kind enough to fallow me off the freeway so I would be safe. Stayed right behind me until I got off the freeway. This guy is a cool individual, this was my second roadside assistance driver I had used. The first driver came out and didn't check anything just towed me.
