Delicious healthy food! Even better than Bolay in my opinion. So many protein options.

The owners of this company have gotten so STINGY. For starters, their servings sizes have decreased; steak is extra (ok fine) but they serve you barely 1.5oz... that's not enough protein for even a bird. The serving size of the salad, the noodles, & the rice also minimized. Secondly... at the toppings section, they charge you extra for pico de gallo & extra again for onions. Is that a joke? An onion costs less than $1.50 each & you can serve like 15 people out of it. Why am I being charged $0.50 cents per serving of 3 slices? Bizarre. & saddening to see the greedy get greedier. read more

We've been to all the other restaurants in this strip, so I figured it was about time we tried this one. I'm not a big "bowl" person, but decided I needed to eat healthy (ier?) today after my dinner and dessert last night. I ordered the small "bowl". I did not care for any of the bases they were offering. I'd gone on line on the way and read about a smoky white bean base that some Yelpers had liked, but it is not being offered any more. Luckily, I was able to switch to 3 veggies -- instead of one base and 2 veggies. I got: roasted diced sweet potatoes, paprika cauliflower, and seared mushrooms. I liked all of these, but especially the sweet potatoes. For my protein, I had their herb grilled chicken. It was good, as well. I got the "sweeter" (per the server) herb dressing, but didn't like that at all. After tasting it, I didn't use it. I also had added a side of guacamole -- to share with my husband. It was okay (he Iiked it better than I did). I tasted his clear glass noodles -- they were ice cold -- and didn't like them. He said his protein (pulled pork) was very good, though. Been to Beehive Kitchen a few times now, and it's been pretty consistent product in all my visits. It's a more modern and very healthy chipotle/ build your own bowl type of place. I'd say it compares most to a Fresh Kitchen or SoFresh, except of the three it easily takes 3rd place. You start out with a base, and you can get things like rice (of course), quinoa, mixed greens, or even these weird potato starch noodles. There are a good amount of protein options next, and then other veggies and toppings. I think it's pretty good food, especially for being "healthier". But I really like healthy food and this isn't the best it can be, in my opinion. Maybe I haven't gotten the perfect combo, but the flavors don't seem to quite come together. I think places like SoFresh do a much better job with that, because healthy food can be absolutely delicious. It just seems like Beehive is missing that special sauce. (Maybe they literally just need a new sauce to tie it all together, lol) read more

I was in the mood for something healthy but also wanted to try something I hadn't tried before. This place instantly came to mind. For me it's a bit out of the way so I really wanted to feel like the drive was justified. I definitely liked my meal but with a few adjustments I could have loved it. Parking was easy and I dined in. I ordered a build your own classic bowl. For my two bases I ordered sweet potato noodles and beet poke. For my two veggies I ordered the broccoli and the cauliflower. For my two proteins I ordered the baked almond crusted chicken and the shrimp. I got all three sauces on the side and added the queso fresco. It was a good bowl overall but the sweet potato noodles and almond crusted chicken were both cold. This would have been close to perfect if served hot. Everything tasted great. I asked to try the potatoes which were out of this world but ultimately my disciplined side won which is why I went for double veggies. So basically everything I ordered tasted good but I was disappointed it wasn't hot. The service was okay. The lady taking my order snapped at me when I asked if I could get a tiny bit of broccoli and tiny bit of potatoes as my second veggies. She could have been a bit nicer but it's all good we all have our days and the rest of the interaction was decent. I would come back here in the future. I think I would order the exact same thing. It was a very large portion and I was definitely full. I also didn't feel lethargic after eating it. Good overall. read more

I was so hungry and so excited to try this place based on the recommendation of a friend. I placed a pick up order for a custom bowl with tofu, greens, quinoa, broccoli and the herb dressing. What I found when I got back to work with my lunch was a bowl with chicken, rice, black beans, and some sort of chipotle sauce. Not what I ordered at all- I'm struggling to imagine how that even happens it was so far off from what was on both receipts they provided me on the bag my food was in. I called and of course the manager says he issued a refund but sadly I don't think I'll return to this place. Could not even eat the food sadly as I'm a a vegetarian- I'll be waiting until after 4 pm today for lunch. read more

Yummy build your own bowl. Good combo possibilities. The chimichurri sauce is a nice addition. We got the wrap with shredded beef and had good flavors. They definitely give more quantity than some of the other bowl places. Definitely more veggie options. read more

I got the burrito bowl and I didn't like it. I could tell that the black beans and the corn were out of a can and they weren't prepared fresh. The chicken also didn't seem fresh. It was like watery and old and not super tasty. I guess they have some nice items like the potato noodles and the broccoli but if you compare the burrito bowl to the one at chipotle this one is a loser. read more

We loved this casual eatery, it offers a great alternative to Chipotle with ingredients not often found elsewhere. I enjoyed the chick peas and zucchini medley on my bowl. The pricing is a bit more than Chipotle, but in this case, they provide enough quality and quantity to justify the expense. We'll definitely return. read more

I came here as a pick up this past Sunday. I don't have much experience with the place except the food was very yummy ! I noticed the protein portions are not as heavy as the carbs but at almost 19$ I figure it would've been and that's probably my only complaint about this space. Restaurant layout and sitting arrangement was nice. It was quite spacious and clean. I got small bowl with jasmine rice, salad, almond crusted chicken, broccoli, mushroom, cheese and my husband got barbecue chicken and black beans in his bowl. Overall I would say everything was tasty but if you do not like black pepper then be careful when you order broccoli or mushrooms. I will not say it was spicy but for me black pepper triggers my acidity very bad especially when it is in large amount. They give only small portion of sauce, like very small, so if you do not like dry then please do not get almond crusted chicken. It is too crunchy and hard. You just go up and order so there is not much service involved but restaurant was clean so I guess this counts as a service. read more

We order for delivery to my friends house and it was great. I really enjoyed my plate so much and even though the portion was big enough for two days I ate it all because it was so tasty! My friend ordered a lean bowl and she did eat it for dinner and lunch the next day. I like the flavors of the bowl I got which was the Mediterranean one and I really didn't need to add any other extra flavor but you have many other options to add to your balls which makes it great. 5-star service, 4-star food, 3-star ambience for a good overall 4-star rating. A little hard to find and tough parking logistics, but good quality quick food and superb counter service. The service here was the real star of the show for me. Starting with a friendly "hey I like your mask, where'd you get it?" when we walked in, the service was warm and personal. FYI, it's a cool LED CV19 mask that gradually changes colors, from Andrew Christian. The entire experience was like that...friendly and warm. The counter folks were very patient while we hemmed and hawed on our bowl types and ingredients, plus they were quick with explanations to help out. The food here is best described as well-made fast food but healthy. You generally pick a base (kale/cranberry etc), a protein (grilled chicken, etc), toppers (quinoa, etc) and some veggies (grilled sweet potatoes etc). You can choose the roll-your-own combination with infinite variations, or pick one of the pre-formatted combos. Either way, it's fast, tastes good and is healthy. My one gripe was that it's a bit expensive for fast salads, and the extras have annoying small charges (25 cents here and there). Cheap ole' Joe reacts a lot better to just a flat 15 bucks versus $12 plus 25 cents plus 85 cents plus plus plus. Ambience inside and out could be better. Parking is problematic. It's a strangely shaped lot on a busy stretch of road. Turns into the lot are easy to miss, and there's scarce parking. Everything in this shopping plaza other than UPS is a restaurant and it seems overcrowded every time. The spaces are also much smaller with a narrower driveway than usual so tough logistics. Inside the interior is tall and sunny, but the seats are largely bolted the floor. What at first looks welcoming in the interior feels more like an airport McDonald's on your posterior. Liberate the chairs and stools from the cement floor. read more

Wow! Most days I just crave REAL FOOD! Holy delicious! Loved everything - we got a Classic bowl with herb chicken, salmon, and ropa vieja. Then we also got a veggie bowl w 5 veggies. We had carrots, sweet potatoes, brown rice, broccoli, "sweet potato" noodles, quinoa, quac, mushrooms, corn, sauces and cheeses. Absolutely amazing! Will be back every time we come to Broward! As you can tell from the other reviews, this place is hit or miss. I've been a number of times for lunch and overall it's pretty so-so, once or twice outright disappointing. The cooking is not spectacular and the offerings are pretty standard. When you have to stand for a few minutes staring at over-cooked veggies and over-sauced food, trying to decide if it's worth it, then you have to wonder why it's not more appetizing. I kept thinking "is this really healthy?" They could up their ante and attempt to try a little harder to prepare some out of the ordinary fare and I'd bee there more often (sorry, couldn't resist). read more

Beehive impressed me with its cleanliness and friendly staff. However, when it came to the food, I thought it was very average and nothing special. I opted for the large bowl but was disappointed by the portion size considering the price. Most "quick bowl" restaurants have a variety of sauces to compliment the food but Beehive only offered two sauces, and while the chimichurri sauce was decent, it was bland. Beehive is a good option for healthy dining, but there are many other similar restaurants that offer better flavors. read more
