I had an incredibly disappointing experience with Orlando Towing Group, LLC. While providing the…read moreservice I needed, they ended up damaging my vehicle in the process, specifically my rim. When the tow truck arrived, I expected the driver to handle my vehicle with care and expertise. Unfortunately, that was far from the reality. As they loaded my car onto the truck, they carelessly scraped my rim against the tow truck's equipment, causing noticeable damage. To make matters worse, Orlando Towing displayed a complete lack of responsibility for their actions. I was told (from the owner) to pay for the tow and the incident would get straightened the following day. The next day, I call and was told to come in (by an employee), only to show up to a junk yard with a vacant trailer. Not only did the owner go against his word, I had to wait an hour just for him to call me and try to send me to another location. I call back about an hour later (because he still has yet to show up) to let him know I was going to get a quote for the damage on my rim. He proceeded to yell and curse saying "I'm not paying for shit" and that I was threatening him. His dismissive attitude towards a customer's property and refusal to take responsibility for the mistake says everything about his character and the way he conducts business. My encounter with Orlando Towing Group, LLC was nothing short of a nightmare. From the negligent handling of my vehicle, resulting in a damaged rim, to their dismissive customer service and outright lack of professionalism, I strongly advise against using their towing services. Save yourself the frustration, inconvenience, and unnecessary expenses by seeking a more competent and trustworthy alternative.

I was very clear about the current issues when dropping off the vehicle but clearly it was not being written down because I had to repeat myself on multiple phone calls. Although I tested the battery and even had tried to jump start it multiple times with my own cables and jump pack from the tow company, they were insisting I replace my battery to resolve the issue. After picking up my vehicle, I took it home and parked it for the night. Next morning I had the same issues as when I dropped it off to them days before. I do not believe Sloan's was honest about the repairs needed on my car and sold me on an expensive service because they knew the battery location in my vehicle is not easily accessible. Every service being quoted had ridiculous prices behind it. $213 to repair a $20 sensor after the car was already taken apart and paying $181 for diagnostics is insane. $574 to replace a $15 gasket is laughable. $262 to pull off a plastic cover and remove/replace 4 spark plugs, $105 for a $20 air filter. I understand cost of labor involved but some of these mark ups are so unrealistic, they cannot expect any person with even beginner car maintenance knowledge to pay these prices before doing it themselves.

However, when they were done and I was leaving, we quickly realized the shifter on my truck was loose and not shifting into gear. Luckily Brandon was working and figured out what was wrong. He was able to get me on the road, but said I needed to go straight to the body shop to get the part fixed. Not being from area I asked him for a referral he trusted. He said the ONLY place he trusts to touch his and his wife's vehicles is Ideal Service Center on West Keen St. I called and they said for me to come in to get a diagnostic check to make sure what needed to be repaired and see if they have or need to order the part(s). Being from out of town, and female, I was concerned they were going to try to sell me parts I don't need and try to fix things that weren't broke. Luckily Brandon at Discount Tire took a picture of the part that broke and my brother (back home) knew what part I needed and about how much it should cost, in case they tried to "pull one over on me." I am grateful to say I showed them the picture and didn't need to use my "new found" knowledge because they didn't try anything. Luckily still, they had the part that broke in stock, replaced it, and didn't even try to sell me a replacement for the whole shaft instead of just the bushing. They charged me a fair price and had me in and out quickly. They explained what (I already knew- they just didn't know that I knew lol) had happened with the part and was very kind and thorough. I am VERY grateful to both Brandon at Discount Tire and all the guys at Ideal Service Center for being good, honest people and places of business! God bless you all and the work you do!

They also confirmed availability for my desired date of service. Communication from Hunter was exceptional throughout the entire process and provided pics of the delivery.
