The terminal is reminiscent to mall millennia or Florida Mall, and how it's set up . Plenty shopping and things to see and do while you wait for your flight !

This station is a short distance from the Orlando Health campus. I don't know why I haven't…read moretravelled much via train before but I decided to forego having to drive from Tampa to Orlando and just relax and let someone else do the work. This station was revived by a community effort to preserve some of the history of Orlando and when you enter the doors of the station it's almost like turning back a page in time. There is plenty of wooden seating for everyone to spread out and socially distance. There are clean restrooms and staff on site to help with checking baggage and providing information about the trains and schedules. I believe that you get 2 checked bags and two carryons with your ticket which is much more than what you can bring on an airplane for the price you pay. If you get tired of sitting inside you can walk around outside around the historic building or watch the trains go by. It's easy to get a taxi or rideshare from here as well. As I walked around the building, I did like that the sign outside recognizes the history of segregation and how the station used to have separate segregated restrooms and waiting rooms. So yikes have changed but there still is a long way to go. I just like that it is publicly recognized on a sign near the entrance. This is a great train station. I felt safe and the waiting area was reasonably clean and cool while I waited for my silver bullet train. I believe the Hertz location that used to be onsite is permanently closed.

So everything went very well until the very end when we were about to get off and there was an older lady trying to get down from the second floor we had to wait few seconds, so as we were going to exit the train, they put it in out of service mode in Debary and the door shut right on my mom's leg, which caused her a big bruise. My mom is 73 years old and obviously this is not good for an older lady. If it would've been the other lady, that was a lot smaller and fragile she would've gotten really hurt. Where is the security procedure in this train? you have 30 seconds to get off the train ???? You need to have some Saftey procedure before someone gets hurt.

When all have checked in, you get your helmet & audio receiver. There's also a waiver to sign and a safety video to watch. Comfortable shoes are a must since your feet are integral to the Segway experience. My feet were still tingling after the tour was over. Some folks may complain this is a slow paced tour due to the requured training session. We're not those folks! And don't laugh at the helmets. We had a lead vehicle that wasn't good at inclines and he caused a pile up with 2 others falling and hitting their heads. That reminds me: Lean forward to go uphill and a little backwards to go downhill. This is all covered and practiced in the training session. We really appreciated the thorough overview of the X2 Segway (no longer available for sale). Then we got on-hands training - how to get on the X2, how to turn, go forward, stop, go up and down hills. We had done Segway tours on different models in the past, but really appreciated the refresher. Luis & Ashton were excellent tour guides. We learned some Chip & Dale trivia and saw remnants of the Ft Wilderness Railroad that was there in the 70s/80s. Would recommend this to anyone over 16 (with guardian) with good balance.

But the bus tour proved to be the best introduction at getting a basic background knowledge of what the space center was all about! You get a whole 2 1/2 hour driving tour that spans several miles. The Vehicle Assembly Building stands as the first focus where the Apollo moon rockets and space shuttles were built, then they were transported via gigantic crawlers to one of the launch pads: 39A or 39B. You get to see (from a distance), the launch pads ready and waiting to launch the next rocket, satellite or other spacecraft. Water towers, rocket fuel storage, blast deflectors, and even the SpaceX building, all the way to the Launch Control Center. But besides all the man made structures we encountered throughout the tour, you'll find that the space center also cohabits and protects the land as a national wildlife refuge, 140,000 acres worth! There are fresh and saltwater marshes, lagoons, coastal seashores, and flatlands, home to fish, mammals, amphibians, birds and indigenous plants. The majority of wildlife refuge is left undisturbed by the goings on by NASA. Our tour guide Noble, gave us a very informative and interesting tour as he described what each structure and building is used for. The important people involved in every aspect from maintenance to space flight. Besides the human impact, we even caught glimpses of an eagles nest, a manatee resting in the water and several birds & waterfowl. I didn't see any alligators during our tour, but I'm sure they were staying cool beneath the swamps. The whole tour had me at the edge of my seat listening to the stories and history of our ever developing space program. It just made me more appreciative and proud of America's achievements and goals to explore the stars. If you didn't do your homework first they weren't telling you. To get it your child needs an ID of some kind that gets him/her in for free. This is Iconic Americana with true history material and museum items all around. It also had the SpaceX Falcon Rocket on the pad. No close ups but within eyeshot. Food sucked so bring your own. Many tourists touch and put back hot food so save your sanity. If the weather is right sit outside while you eat. The grass was nice. Military discount for those who ask. Bring $10 cash for parking. They don't take a credit card. You can see this place in one day.

We booked through the website and had great communication about where to be, what to expect, etc. On the day of our tour, we arrived at the pick-up location a little early and our guide (Jessica) was already there waiting for us. The van was spotless and comfortable and our Jessica was very concerned with our personal comfort and safety. Along with my wife and I, there were two other couples, one celebrating and their 51st anniversary and a young couple in the military out for a fun evening (we are somewhere in the middle of these age groups). We all had a great time. Once the tour got rolling, so did the rain. It poured but that didn't distract from the experience too much. Jessica was very informative and entertaining and clearly is very concerned about everyone having a great time. She showed us sights of the city on our way and asked fun trivia questions. I'm kind of a "slow-to-warm-up" kind of guy and she made thing relaxed and fun right away. We stopped at four restaurants for food and drinks. She sampled Asian, Ethiopian, "American", and dessert. I don't want to give too much away because the stops change frequently and there's also a bit of joy in not knowing ahead of time what is coming next. At each stop our table was waiting and we were treated very well by the waitstaff (I was a little worried about being treated like a transient tourist being on a tour like this). At each stop they were ready for us and food and drink arrived quickly. There was time to relax and enjoy the company and the food but things moved along quickly. We visited, in order: 1) Stonington's Fried Shrimp 2) Tako Cheena 3) Yum-mi Sandwiches 4) 4 Rivers Smokehouse 5) Jeremiah's Italian Ice I've gone on countless other food tours. Here's how this one stacks up. The food portions were above average in my tour experience. They were large and mostly main food items, not dessert. At place 3 we had two items: a small smoothie and the two of us split a full sandwich. At place 2 we split three tacos. At place 1 we got some shrimp, catfish, corn bread and mac n cheese. Place 4 was a cup of BBQ pork with cheese grits on the bottom and coleslaw on top. Place 5 was an icy or gelato. Our guide tried to personalize our tour. He discovered one of us was in town on healthcare business an proceeded to point out all the local hospitals as we drove. I've learned more history on other tours, but perhaps Orlando just has less. I wouldn't know. What we did learn was interesting and presented in a fun way. We covered a lot of ground in the car and stopped on the side if the road in a few locations. I'd change: In other food tours the guide called ahead to the restaurant to say we were coming so the food was ready upon our arrival. This didn't happen on this tour, though it's a nice touch as it keeps the pace up. Our guide stood in line and ordered at each restaurant while we sat down. Then we all sat down and waited as the food was cooked. Calling ahead would speed the tour up. Secondly, none of the owners or managers or chefs (or even waitress for that matter) of any of the restaurants came out to speak to our group, which is common on food tours in my experience. I missed hearing the restaurant's perspective on the food and the establishment's history. Our guide did provide some.
