I understand the pandemic but the principle is that they didn't tell me or any other customer that they were no longer offering the $30 haircut, you must get your hair blow dried or they will still charge you the $50 for it. To make matters worst, they aren't even allowed to blow dry at the moment and they are still charging people that. But yes a price increase from 30 to 55 is gouging, almost a 100 percent increase. She is an absolute gem and it was with complete sadness that she had to pay for the "sins" of her colleague! But hey, if you rep for your company, you gotta endure the good with the bad; and in this case...BAD ALL THE WAY AROUND! Tom is a very big-headed manicurist, who knows his craft. But without humility he makes mistakes. The first time, he did my nails (full set), I got the attitude of I should be grateful, but I shrugged it off because, my nails came out very nice and I typically don't care to cater to people's swollen heads. If you do a great job, I'm going to acknowledge it as so, and you'll get my business. I made my next appointment for 4-weeks later. On my second appointment (cut and fill-in) - he was 5mins late - not sweating it, but no apology (took note of that). Nails came out great (or so I thought), and I made my next appointment. Three days later, the acrylic began lifting (painfully). I work long days and so, it's very hard for me to just go in for a fix, so I put a band-aid over it, to keep it steady. But then another nail was lifting; and so, I drove over and requesting Tom to fix it. He asked me to come back in an hour. All fixed. Third appointment, I walk in for my appointment to see Tom beginning someone's nails and he's ignoring me. I'm standing right in front of him, thinking he was just helping a fellow manicurist, but he looks up and ask, "Can I help you?". After a quick shake of my head, I answered, that I have a 10am appointment with him. He says nothing while continuing the service of the other lady. So, I said, "Tom, I have an appointment with Tammy as well. Would you prefer I start with my pedicure?"...Continued silence. Tammy finally came over, after hearing her name and escorted me to her chair with apologies. Tom, came over after to begin my fill-in. Again, after a week, nails began chipping. My time is limited, so I fixed it myself! Not happy that the quality is subpar. Fourth and final appointment: Once again, I walk in ON TIME, to see yet again, another person in Tom's chair beginning their service. I said to Tom that I have an appointment with him for 10am. He waits, checks his schedule, then tells me he needs 20mins. I told him, I don't have that kind of time, as I am on a schedule - hence why I make my appointments a month in advance. He ignores me. After waiting 5 mins, I stand up from my seat, and quietly walk out! There are too many nail salons in this area and nearby for me to cause a scene! Why should I have fight for someone to TAKE my money. I would NEVER go to this place again, and if you're smart, neither would you!
