He cared for someone I love and I saw his interaction with this person many times and I was so impressed. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker for over 30 years and have worked with a LOT of psychiatrists in my career and I can confidently say that I would recommend Dr. Bhandari without reservation. He is top notch.

He then went on to explain that I should be doing better in school as I grow up and not worse because that's how we should work cognitively, which is not true by the way. He then gave me the ADD checklist/self-assessment at the END of the session right before I left, and was never to be looked at (It should be given at the start so it can be reflected on during the evaluation). That experience totally undermined my conditions and left me broken. He would chuckle at my concerns and that did not make me comfortable as he undermined my struggles in school to just "stress" and probably thought that I was making a big deal out of newfound stress from high school. He should be aware that ADD/ADHD goes highly underdiagnosed in girls and looks VERY different. I was still struggling heavily in my first year of college so I decided to go to someone different to give it another shot. Now I'm finally diagnosed and on Vyvanse doing better than ever. So I do not recommend.

She expertly put me on a regimen of non-toxic compounds that she adjusts every quarter based upon her indefatigable updating of the advanced science on which she relies. She is both caring and direct. I credit her with much understanding and support and, essentially, keeping me alive while I avoided toxic recommendations from my more traditional team. The complexity of Dr. Mielke's patients means that while she has a killer memory and excellent medical training plus nearly a quarter century of running her clinic, she simply cannot know everything that will ultimately be the key to a particular individual recovery. For those dealing with autism, Lyme and similar tick borne illnesses, for supplemental information that may be really helpful to try, give the recordings from the Autism Health Summit 2025 a hearing (info@autismhealth.com). This will cost you $100 and access to a wonderful, intelligent support group to inspire your journey.

This review is long overdue…read more I was seen by Dr.Mielke from April 2020-July 2020 and then again from November 2020-April 2021. In total, I had approximately 9 visits either in-person or through a voice call. To her credit, Dr. Mielke did try her best to treat my ongoing mysterious symptoms; I have been unwell since late summer 2017. I do credit her for introducing me to a few things that were of help with chronic Lyme. She introduced me to the Relax Brand sauna, PlusCBD oil, and LDN. She also helped me understand that have a double mutated MAOA gene and cannot tolerate SSRIs.I thank her for these suggestions /prescriptions. However, by the last visit or two, I understood that she really did not know the root cause of my issue. She kept suggesting nutrition testing and practicing DNRS- neither of which helped to a large extent. In December 2020, she put me on a trial of herbs used to treat Lyme. In February or March, she put me on a full on herbal protocol. After 30 days, I did not feel markedly better. She pompously proclaimed, " Well then, it must not be Lyme. This protocol worked so well for so-and-so." I get the impression that she is not well-versed in treating Lyme. If she was, she would have ordered a CD57 test and used Vibrant Wellness labs to check a full spectrum of tick born illnesses. I'm sad that I spent this time and money not to feel any better. If you suspect you may have Lyme, be advised before selecting Dr.Mielke.

The low ratings of Bay Area Psychiatric Group are accurate. Here is my contribution:…read more I saw Dr. Khalique for multiple sessions and it was an extremely frustrating experience, especially given the roughly $500 per visit cost. Each appointment felt like a stall tactic. He would end sessions by saying he had more thoughts to share later, pushing everything into another appointment weeks away. When I came back, instead of building on anything, it felt like we were starting over. I was hoping for actual insight and direction, but kept getting vague, non-answers instead. I had already completed a full professional evaluation elsewhere, yet when I asked straightforward questions, he refused to give any meaningful opinion and hid behind needing to "assess more". It came across less like careful professionalism and more like an unwillingness to say anything useful. He repeatedly redirected the conversation away from what I wanted to discuss and tried to frame everything as my anxiety (isn't that an easy way out, I'm sure he uses this tactic often), even when I made it clear that wasn't why I was there. It felt extremely dismissive and unhelpful. At one point he also made what I considered unreasonable and insensitive comments about basic parenting decisions that weren't even the reason for the visit. That was clearly a red flag, and I regret not stopping the session at that moment. The final session ended with me walking out because it was clear he wasn't going to help me. I have NEVER done this before. As I was leaving, he tried to hand me a list of psychiatrists who take my insurance. I told him insurance wasn't the issue and that I just needed someone who could actually help. Shows how money focused he is. Looking back, I'm relieved I stopped when I did. Each visit was expensive, unhelpful, unproductive and ultimately a waste of time and money. I genuinely feel like I dodged a bullet by moving on. There are better options out there. If you want someone extremely useless, insensitive, indirect and slow to offer any real feedback, this may be fine. If you want practical guidance, clear opinions, or to feel heard, I would strongly consider looking elsewhere. Strong strong strong pass.

They do not return phone calls. When you call, there is a long-winded voice message and no option to actually talk to a person--you're just supposed to leave a message (that won't be returned). If you do happen to get someone in the phone, they are rude and unhelpful anyway. They do not communicate well and won't let you know if/when the doctor is running late or any other updates. Just absolutely awful all around.

My father saw Dr Qadir as a new patient because his primary care physician had retired. My father hadn't been feeling well: he had lost significant weight, his legs were starting to give out, and he was sleeping a lot more. His mood was shifting. I couldn't attend with him in person because I had COVID, so I sent him and his caregiver a long list of concerns to show Dr Qadir. He was dead from Stage 4 cancer 5 weeks later, and she didn't even flag anything as wrong even after seeing the list. Just said "see you again in 3 months". Nothing could have saved my dad's life at that point, but if we had known it was terminal cancer, he would have had the opportunity to say goodbyes, set up his estate more effectively, and visited his favorite places for the last time. After he died, Dr Qadir had the audacity to call me to extend her condolences. What a callous attempt to repair the damage. If you want you or your loved one's health cared for like my father's, by all means, give Dr Qadir a visit. But if you'd like someone to flag if you have cancer, go somewhere else.

I also appreciated the video visit option and all patient paperwork can be completed online beforehand as well as uploading your ID and insurance card. I very much appreciated that the doctor inquired about my past only as much as he needed to in order to address my current concern. Didn't make me open those traumatic doors wide open which made me very comfortable. The doctor stuck to what was occurring presently and focused on informing me of what we could do now. He also made sure to inform me of other possibilities that could be causing my symptoms to ensure these are things that my primary care physician and I have addressed or will address. I'm appreciative that the first appointment was very thorough and already resulted in an action plan. I've been to many mental health professionals that make you return 2-3 times for a treatment plan; which I hated. I was also able to schedule my follow up appointment in the timeframe requested by the doctor. For some reason, my payment didn't go though online, so I got a text notification and called directly to make my copay and the staff member was also nice and able to take care of everything quickly.
