I was in the wedding Sarah is referring to. They truly did help keep the party in order. I think my Grandfather may have freaked the MC out a little with his little "Listerine" joke. Being from a Filipino family, I was expecting alot of cha-cha remixes, electric slide and all sorts of line dancing. By special request of the bride and groom, that music was not played by the DJ's. At the end of the night, they allowed my sister to attempt to "scratch" or so she tried to; she proceeded to do so with her, ahem, lovely lady lumps and her tongue and the let her with a smile on their face. DJ Elizabeth is the best - she absolutely rocked our wedding reception as our DJ! Leading up to the wedding, Elizabeth was awesome to work with - very easy going, easily accommodated our changes and schedules, and was very helpful in planning the reception hour. The day of the wedding, Elizabeth was on time and set up everything quickly. Then there was the wedding reception. Elizabeth was a great emcee throughout the dinner, cake cutting, speeches, etc. but then absolutely crushhhhed it on the dance floor! Our dance floor was packed during the entire reception and DJ Elizabeth played one great song after another. This was one of our best decisions for a DJ! We reached out to BTS Sounds because our good friends had them at their wedding. Our consultation went great and we booked them immediately. Elizabeth was super sweet and had great communication. She is down to earth and made the process super easy and fun! Elizabeth was already booked on our date, so her staff assigned for our wedding was Gabe. Throughout the planning process we stayed in communication and even had an onsite meeting at our venue (which was over an hour away for both of us), where we were able to determine where he would be set up, discuss the wedding timeline, and troubleshoot any issues in advance as we would obviously be preoccupied on the wedding day. This was great to have. Gabe provided a super easy template to fill out for songs and for odd songs, we were able to provide a link to YouTube to ensure it was the correct one. He was even able to make a custom change to our reception entrance song to make it work perfectly for our entrance without it being awkward. On the day of, Gabe was nothing but professional but also super fun. A DJ was the hardest vendor for us to book, because it's hard to find someone who can read a crowd, have fun, be professional, play the right songs, and not be cheesy. We had a few sound issues during set up but thankfully Gabe planned to arrive a few hours early for set up and was able to work out everything before the ceremony and reception! He did great as an MC and everyone loved him. We honestly didn't think we'd have a big group of people dancing at the reception, and I couldn't believe that pretty much everyone there was on the dance floor until the last minute! We loved that Gabe truly mixed all of his songs and didn't just play a song from start to finish so we got a huge variety of music and more songs during our reception. If you're looking for a fun and professional DJ, look no further! We highly recommend Gabe and if the need ever comes up, he will be the first one we call for a DJ! If I could give 8/5 stars I would. Elizabeth was amazing for our wedding DJ. She did the ceremony perfect, we had some delays in getting my wife's bustle done which she handled perfectly including pumping up the crowd before the wedding party came out (which we were not ready for). And was just an overrall class act. She had whistles for certain songs on our playlist, she communicated with us, literally EVERYTHING you could ask for in a DJ. We referred her to 2 other people, hopefully she gets more work because she deserves it. If your even remotely considering her for your wedding or event, stop thinking, HIRE HER. Derwin kept everyone laughing, made it fun for everyone of all ages, and made the experience unforgettable for the bride, groom, and myself! Our event was on November 15, 2014 and the best thing that I could have done to make this party amazing was to hire Behind the Scene Sounds! Elizabeth was so personable and professional. She asked me very important questions which I never would have thought about. Everyone in the party loved her and she stuck to my guidelines as far as playing ONLY the music on our play list and if there where any requests they needed to go through my daughter or me. Had my wedding last night at Happy Garden and was in love with everything Elizabeth and Derwin did. The place looked amazing with all the uplighting, globos, and monograms. The Dancing-in-the-Clouds option is a MUST for the first dance. It makes the moment even more special and looks so romantic. They also DJed along side the band that we had and it was perfect. They stepped in when the band had technical difficulties and it was the perfect background music. They had great ideas and even "packages" for certain themes. We wanted a sports-themed introduction and they had a music set for the introductions for the parents, wedding party, and bride and groom. They also came up with the great idea of introducing with heights and hometowns which took it up another level. Elizabeth and Dee were a perfect pair to DJ our event. They are very fun and entertaining. I've had so many people tell me they loved the DJ and music. It's not something you hear often for Vietnamese weddings. They walk you through every step of your reception and even build a timeline with you. Who knew there were so many songs to choose, but they're there helping you the whole time choosing your music. Elizabeth was amazingly helpful, professional, and efficient throughout the entire planning process. The wedding had minor issues like I believe all do realistically (not with her services; just in general) but she made sure it was never apparent. She was so flexible when it came to appointments and last minute changes and her response time was unreal. She met so many of my ridiculous requests and worked with me on the unrealistic ones - I can be pretty difficult at times since I'm a control freak and a perfectionist - Her teams services the day of was impeccable! It's 3 months later and I'm still receiving compliments from guests about the DJ and lighting (BTS provided DJ, MC, Lighting, and decor). Anyone planning a wedding knows how trying it can get and that you end up disliking some of your vendors by the end but I definitely remained pleased with BTS the entire year and a half we spent planning. We used Behind the Scene for our son and daughter in laws wedding on Aug 2 downtown at the Masonic temple. Long story short --- they were simply amazing. The attention to detail, the lights, the professionalism was far more than we could have expected. The lights made our large reception room look dreamy and elegant. I regrettably chose a freind of the family as my DJ. He almost didn't show up. Yet, BTSS said they would DJ if that occured. Luckily the DJ showed up at the last minute. But, what a company!! They were willing to jump in and take over at the last second just to save our wedding. Honestly, the lighting was the one thing people remembered most about my wedding.
