First of all, Vernon is a hot mess with making the appointments. I got a voicemail confirming my…read moremove before I even talked to him to get a quote. Then he told me the right day but wrong date and had to call me back to confirm the right day and date. I unfortunately had to postpone our move but he very nicely saved our info for when we were ready. Again he made a mistake with the date and I had to correct him. He then called me back minutes later calling me the wrong name and said oh sorry wrong number. The day before our move he called and asked if we could change our move date to the following day because we were supposed to get a heavy storm. Well the storm came overnight and it continued to rain during our move. We gave him very detailed room by room info of what we needed moved and he came with a truck that was too small. He had problems folding a treadmill and broke it. He told my brother he would have to get an electrician to fix the wire. Then he took that load to the new place and came back for my stuff. That hour was not in our quote but we still got charged for it even though it was not our fault they brought too small of a truck. Once they got to my place, Vernon was rude and argued with one of my neighbors for asking him to move the truck so people could walk around it. Once inside he seemed to in such a hurry that I was very worried about how careful he was with my fragile stuff. So far I haven't had anything from boxes broken thank goodness. My tv however was cracked and no longer usable. He also got the cream colored chairs all dirty. The entire move he was rude and clearly wanted to move things just inside the doors and not where I wanted it. He argued every time I wanted stuff taken to the basement (which was only 3 things) and then left stuff right in the middle of the room blocking things. At the end he took off his shirt and walked around our house like that. It completely offended my mom. If I ever move again I will spend the extra money for a better company. I shouldn't have to deal with extra stress of an angry and rude mover on top of all the stresses of moving. I will be telling everyone I know not to use this company as well!!

My job, even though time and date were confirmed, was somehow scheduled for a different day. Movers did not show as expected that morning. When I called the office, the issue was addressed and George and Hez were quickly assigned to my job. They arrived with smiles, hustle, and genuine care and concern for me and my belongings. Truly amazing guys. While the mix up with my move date and time was less than excellent, the customer service that happened in that moment to ensure my move happened that day made me a fan. It's not a flawless move that always makes people loyal customers. It's what happens to customers when things do not go as expected and what the company does to remedy the situation that creates forever fans.

A broken plant, which I witnessed, because of the way the mover just pushed the taller leaves over. Scrapped floors, damage/scrpped paint in the new place. A scrap on my dresser, which was wrapped‍. This is my first time using professional movers, and the worst experience I have ever had with a move. What I will say is they showed up within the time frame, and again, the workers were nice. I used Hernia movers 3 years ago to unload a U-Haul when I moved to WI - no issues. The 3 guys were…read moreon time, nice and professional. I decided to use them again when it came time to move out and load up my U-Haul to move across the country again (they were aware we had a long drive ahead of us with everything). Again the 3 guys were on time, nice, and professional. They were fast too! The cost was $248/hour (!!) for a weekday this time around (closer to $150/hour 3 years ago - no obvious increase in work effort or value) and it took 5 hours - about $1300 all in, which is wild. I rented about 30 blankets from U-Haul to protect furniture and also purchased plastic coverings designed for certain pieces. Upon arriving at my new home, I found that every piece of wood (real wood, not particle board) furniture was chipped or scratched or dirty - mostly all of the above. They didn't use most of the blankets or any of the plastic coverings. I'm very disappointed with the quality of packing the truck despite the tools they were given. Note that every box I packed myself and nothing is broken so far in my unpacking. So it wasn't the truck or other packing concerns.
